Dale Jr was named "Most popular driver" multiple years for a reason. Pure class.
He is such a humble and down to earth guy and it’s crazy how he has been able to handle everything
He rigged the poll every year.
@@sdsd2e2321 said by a man who’s never been to a race
@@joeydevito2772 bandwagon effect
Jeff Gordon too
“I just want everyone to be happy, that’s all”.
Dale Jr.
Dale Jr’s Bud cars are the most iconic paint schemes in NASCAR in my opinion among many others
They're up there sure. But it's got nothing on his Dad's black #3 or even Gordon's schemes
Oh, definitely. Those and Gordon's
Iconic paint schemes are dale jrs bud cars, gordans cars, dale Srs cars, richard petty, and JJs lowes cars.
@@timothylites3653 those aren't the only ones. There's also Labonte's Interstate scheme, Gordon's Dupont schemes, The Miller #2, The Coors #40, and so on
Yes sir
"Is that your Dad or your car owner?"
"That's the car owner!"
"And is that your driver or is that your Son?"
"That's my Son!"
I'm not crying. I'm not crying at all.
Next time, for the white flag, my mistake....... no that was the white flag lap, this is the final lap! The starter never waved the white flag! Chills every time.
He did say and my daddy to. They just pulled the mic away fast.
@Bumblebee 12:20
@@dracer555 he said that’s the car owner that’s not daddy!
That Budweiser #8 was THE Heart & Soul of NASCAR in its Time. Vintage Dale Jr. Such a Joy to witness Growing up as a Kid.
Such a shame he's retired now, but he will always be remembered as a Nascar legend like his great father.
but hey at least he made a picture book of race cars
He's not a "legend" for his driving ability, that's for sure.
@billkikstra2225 It would have. You have to remember that JR had 17 years in top-tier equipement. 10/26 of his race wins came at plate tracks, and back then even Steve Park and Michael Waltrip were good at those tracks. JR was a mediocre-to-good driver, but not a legendary talent. He's a good dude though, and has done a ton for the sport outside of the racecar.
Yes he is @victoryrush9584
He won 2 xfinity championships, I think he’s a legend.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. is incredible!
lol 3 likes for dale :)
@@kelloggs4969 Three for Dale Earnhardt Sr., that's for sure! And that's a good tribute idea, I'd say, and to those who provided my comment three positive likes, thank you! I really appreciate them, and so would Dale Earnhardt Sr.!
No he's the most incredibly over rated driver Nascar's ever seen this video could've easily been 30 seconds
Hell bah
Only reason why he’s popular bc of his dad died
I love how Sr always had trouble at Daytona but Jr dominated it and made it his signature track. So fitting
sr didnt have trouble winning daytona just the 500 34 wins at daytona
@@nascarfan8891 I meant the 500 not the track itself
“That’s my son.” Straight tears
Jr might not have had a crazy amount of wind but when you think about it... 2 Daytona 500 wins... he dominated the restrictor plate races. Swept Bristol. Drove the number 3 to victory at Daytona with eury jr. Got a grandfather clock. He for sure is a talented driver.
I honestly believe is Sr. didn't die he'd have won a championship. In a recently interview he mentioned how it took a while for him to get his mind right.
@@ooo_Kim_Chi_ooo Possibly but I also think if he had gotten control of DEI instead of Teresa being controlling he would have imo.
That win in 2001 at Daytona was to me the greatest thing I've ever seen in motorsports, period.
I love how he always says “That’s Awesome” as soon as he wins races
Man. Crazy how I can remember everyone of those wins. Sitting on the porch with my own dad. It just meant more. Jr was and always will be something special
Last time i was this early Teresa didnt run DEI into the ground yet
I know this is a joke and it's funny but don't even you tube existed then
@Roger Y oh ok
@Damar Fadlan ?
@Damar Fadlan ye
Chills when he took Wrangler #3 to victory lane.
I miss the Earnhardts in Nascar they gave their hearts and sole to the company and after Dale Sr passed and Dale Jr retired, Nascar isn't the same
I was new to NASCAR in 2012 and decided to become a Jr fan. My beloved Grandmother died on February 11th, 2014. 12 days later, my favorite driver healed a lot of wounds by winning that Daytona 500. Thank you Junior. :)
Wow Motegi oval! We japanese fans miss you NASCAR ...
That first moment always makes me cry
I’ll never forget watching the 2001 Daytona 500, then that win in July at Daytona watching both races with my Dad Damnit it was redemption at its best!
Dale Jr was my guy. My dad was a Dale Sr fan and unfortunately i never got to see SR Race before. Some of the Stories my Dad has told me are legendary. I truly do believe his spirit is still at that race track in Daytona, Florida. The happiness in Dale Sr face when his Boy won was priceless. Jr will always forever remember those memories
Dale jr and his father are my favorite drivers all time miss them both on track
YOU'RE 2019 NASCAR CUP SERIES CHAMPION KYLE BUSCH!!!
I bet your favorite driver is Kyle Busch and dale jr is a cover up
@@Mike4k_ nah Busch crybaby is trash the Earnhardt's are real legends Kyle crybaby is nothing just an overrated crybaby loser who races dirty

Kyle: 2
Sr: 7
Jr: 0. 😂😂
The quality of the 2004 Daytona 500 in this video is absolutely insane
No other driver that could make the crowd go that wild even if he just takes the lead!
Sport has not been the same without an Earnhardt on the track
watching dale just be genuinely happy with jr is so awesome
That Pepsi 400 win is one of, if not the greatest win in nascar imo
Watching Dale win at Daytona in the 3 that night will forever be my favorite Dale Jr moment
One of the true best drivers, not the same nowadays without the legend icons like Dale Jr, Carl Edwards, Jeff Gordon.
My favorite racer
man would i have loved to see this man a cup champion, i honestly believe if things were different he would have one 3 with DEI. God Bless both these men
100 % fact his DEI #8 cars were some of his best Hendricks was working to build 88 as the top car after Jimmy and Gordon but the Injuries got bad for jr wish he would have atleast got 1 cup still one of the best
I swear I loved the moments when Dale Sr. was there to congratulate Dale Jr.
And big ol' Chocolate beat everyone else to him across the Daytona infield...
The feeling of watching Jr win that second 500 was so special...but to see Kelly’s and LW’s reaction was just amazing!
I never really got to appreciate Jr. when he was racing but I'm a huge fan of his now because of his podcast; such a laid back dude. Awesome racecar driver too!
My 1st NASCAR race that I went to was the Busch Series Bristol race in 2004, my favorite driver Dale Jr won. The next night, I had tickets to the Cup race, same seats, Dale Jr wins again!! My favorite driver sweeping Bristol on that hot August weekend I will never forget. Went to Bristol many times after that, same seats only to watch Kurt Busch seem to win a lot of Cup races, LoL.
Dale Jr is the best
His father too
@@rcracer8872 yeah his father was a legend
@@scdiecastnetwork9766 his father was my favorite driver when I first started watching nascar I was watching that terrible day in 01

Support Dale Earndheadt Jr ❤
Dale taught Jr the ends and outs and he never forgot what he had learned.......
Ins and outs*
No he didn't. Watch him on Joe Rogan
Yeah he actually never taught him anything about racing
Dale Earnhardt Sr. was a deadbeat dad.
Not sure why, but every single time that Junior went to victory lane it made me cry tears of joy. It just made me so happy to see him win.
What a driver, he's very grounded and humble. Also has good mental resilience for him to win at Daytona after his dad passed away. What a guy👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
The last of the good ol' days of Nascar, I remember even when the no. 8 was struggling the fans would rise to their feet for jnr. Great scenes!
After hearing all of jr's words about how his fans ae so important and also to hear his daddy talk about him....I just have tears in my eyes its so GREAT!!
Never gets old when Jr hugs Mikey on the roof of that car.
I love the clip of Earnhardt Sr. in victory lane on Jr.s first win grabbing that guy and one handed throwing him out of the way to get to Jr.
There’s so many more. Like talladega 2001 in October, that was a good one. So was talladega 2015
2001 Pepsi 400 was the greatest race I ever attended. Also saw him win The Winston, Daytona 500, Bud Shootout, Twin 125, five Talladega wins and his win at Atlanta. In the Busch series saw him win at Daytona and Watkins Glen
My first favorite athlete, we were both rookies in 2000 😂 I lost a lot of dollar bills over years of weekends spent betting my driver against my families favorites. He couldn’t have said it better, our enthusiasm when we’d succeed & our encouragement when we’d fall short of our goals, that really stood out to him. That will always feel fulfilling to me. Thank you junebug!!!
I remember 2001, we lost a hero in Dale Sr, in February, but man if he wasn't with his son on July 7th, just watching Jr's July 7th win again brings tears to my eyes.
2015 Coke Zero 400 some of the best driving I’ve seen , the moves he was doing were so skilled
Awesome collection of moments right here!!
i love to see memories like this
Your not a true Earnhardt fan if you dont get emotional watching these moments....
the energy of a crowd!!! I've never missed people so much.
My gosh it’s so wholesome to see Dale Sr. be the first to meet Jr after his wins ❤ u cn see how much he loved Jr.
i saw on Jrs podcast where a friend of his dad told him “I can’t love my kids like u do” and he meant expressing wise, cuz of course he did love Dale Jr his son. And it’s so cool to see this, Sr. smiling and happy for his son Jr. he was a legend but the biggest fan of his son ❤
The goodwrench paint broooooo straight chills
Man rewatching all this just reminds me how hard it was for him. Every race he won in his early years they compared him to his father. He wasn’t just Jr. He has some serious shoulders to carry that weight.
Kelly looking like a proud mom/sister, I love it ❤️
I freaking love dale jr, he’s such a nice guy.
His dad was the reason i fell love in with nascar and he’s the reason i continued to watch it.
Best driver of the 2000's
@@caleykruse9852 nah nobody was better
🤦
Definitely
How can you not love jr and sr ? Two of the greatest to ever sit behind the wheel
I love Dale Jr. He may not have won the most races, had the most success , or won any Sprint Cup championships, but he always gave the fans a thrill, including me. Above it all, he was a restrictor plate track superstar like his daddy. He cherished every win like it would be his last and that’s what made him so special in my eyes. NASCAR lost a lot of its glamour when he stepped away…..
That gave me the chills its nice to remind me/people just how much talent and class he had !!!
Yeah, Dale Sr. Was one of the best Nascar's best. And I was a huge fan of him. After his passing I naturally assumed my support for Junior. Although he didn't win like his dad. He still won volumes of fans and did MORE for Nascar than his dad.! Not winning races.! But through thoughts and support from the fans. What a contribution he has done for the support.! My hats off to you Dale Jr.
Describing his eye movement with phrases like toed out is classic
I miss the DEI days and Sr. being alive and would have been awesome to at least see Jr take over DEI too, no thanks to Teresa.
She has to be one of the most vile people ever in nascar. She completly ruined what could have been a powerhouse team
@@timlarrabee1854 100% straight facts I solely believe if Dale jr would have been able to take control of dei we would have seen him as champ In 8 car those were some of his best
What a great sportsmanship of his dad rip Dale Earnhardt Senior
DEFINITELY pure class
I hope JR never questioned whether or not his dad was proud of him. He was always the first to his car after his wins and couldn't wait to celebrate.
This is what makes them heroes for all of us mere observers.
Love Dale Jr!
The greatest driver other than Richard petty in the history of racing, long live Dale Earnhardt Jr!!! God bless you Jr
As a veteran that had joined the army shortly before 9/11, I cannot tell you the emotion of seeing him win that race and then drive around Dover with the American flag!!!!
My favorite driver
That is very emotional when Dale Jr And Michael Waltrip finished 1 and 2 at Daytona again in the 2002 Dayton xfinity race
Many fans have felt that NASCAR died when Big E did. It definitely changed but to see Jr's continued success has been a great.
2021 .... It may be dead now.
There might be more accomplishments from other guys, but you cannot find a classier guy!
Such a likeable guy in every way. Honest to a fault and that smile is infectious. Listen to the Dirty Mo podcast!
I'm not crying, you're crying...
I was gonna like, but it's got 8 likes
His father would be proud, I've been a fan since i first watched NASCAR when i was little
The thing with Jr...Every fan in those stands were cheering for him. It was a godly roar.
Dale Jr. is my racing idol!
I don't know why but read it racing idiot
Him and his dad are mine
Mikey don't get in an argument with that guy
@@sebastianL42 what he means is when he looked it it he thought the other guy wrote idiot cause he wrote idol!
I can remember going to Martinsville speedway every year, next following year I didn't want to go there then he wins there the next following year.
Earnhardt Nation will live FOREVER.
Thanks NASCAR I needed that
3:35 damn, that’s some high quality footage for early 2000s era.
the video from his first win where sr. shoved the random guy outta the way to be the first in the car is one of my favorite clips in nascar history
"Yesss! Yesss!!"
The biggest thing that separates Jr. From his father, is that he always acknowledged his fans first. That's why he was voted most popular driver 15 years in a row. Dale Sr. Let his fans vote by driving by any means. Hence his Intimindnator name. Jr, let his fans know, by words. As in appreciation.
My mom always wanted to meet him it was really sad to see him retire 🥲
He still runs one Xfinity race a year
I was at that race, I had my headphones tuned into Dale Sr, he had just gotten into 3rd I think and keyed the mic and asked Richard where that 8 car was, Richard relied checked out. Sr said nothing until Dale Jr won and hollered on the radio somebody come get my car, I'm going to victory lane!!
Hear that girl screaming as dale exits turn 3 for the final time
I hear it
That #8 Bud car is beyond iconic
People forget how good early 2000's junior was before things went south at dei. Dale Jr was the best driver in the sport in 2004 and crashed his way out of a championship at atlanta
“I look in my mirror and here this thang come, looked like he adjusted it with the wall and made it run better” senior with the words.
The best father son duo ever
Dale jr fan forever!
Wish the world could go back to what is was in the early 2000s. Miss it
I was a die hard junior fan when he was still racing it never made sense to me on how he went from a absolute superstar to a long stretch of no wins and 0 championships by the end of his career I was super sad he never panned out to the superstar a lot of people including me thought he could’ve been
It seems like it's been an eternity but I'm so looking forward seeing his HOF induction
Had senior not died and that 8 team would have stayed together Jr would have won multiple championships.
Yeah at least. Two championship's and probably 40 wins I think
@@theultimatekfbfan2721 all that in the 8? 🤔
