- Опубліковано 3 гру 2024
- Join Summit 4x4 Company's off-road club take on Arizona's infamous Backway to Crown King trail. With an incredible lightning storm on the horizon, the club took to the mountains, climbing slick rocks and jagged terrain. What lay ahead of the convoy was nothing short of unknown, a true off-road adventure. The team negotiated many technical twists and turns and overcame the unexpected when one of their own was in trouble.

Great video!! Long way from Florida, but we hope to get to AZ at some point.
Thank you! You definitely should make the trip, it's a whole new world out here compared to Florida!
I bought my 2014 JK at Summit 9-28-22. Great buying experience. This is my 4th jeep now that I'm 71. And now that I've trail rated this unit over the last several weeks for reliability and safety - I'm gonna check into joining the Summit 4X4 club. Oh - I've done the Pleasant to Crown King route(s) several times over the years - my how the topography of the route has changed in over 30 years according to this fantastic video. Thank you Summit - for the JK and a great video.
Hey Joe! Thanks so much for the kind words! We're glad you're enjoying your JK and hope to see you join us for a club run. Here is a link to where you can find our run schedule. If you have any questions please reach out! www.meetup.com/summit-4x4-club/
Epic Video !! Best Crown King video on UA-cam !!
Thanks so much Jerry!
This is by far your best production thus far. Epic? Onward!
Thank you so much! Excited to see what the future brings!
It was a great run with great people!
That is was! Looking forward to the next!
What a great video of an amazing run!!!
Thank you!
Absolutely fantastic production quality 👏🏼
Thank you!
Liked the introduction to intense jeeping/wheeling at night. Got to see "rock lights" in action! Inspiring message at the end, too! I especially liked the real-life drama built by the possibility of flash-flooding, which, as we've seen recently, is nothing to take lightly! Nice work!
Thank you so much Jimmy! We appreciate your feedback!
THIS VIDEO IS FREAKING AWESOME🤩 I loved watching every minute of it!!!
Thank you so much!
Phenomenal video production! (The jeeping was pretty impressive too 😉)
Thank you so much!
Very well narrated and interesting trail ride. My wife and I will be taking the Backway to Crown King- in Daylight- the 3rd weekend in Sept 2024. Looking for others to ride along.
Thank you very much! If you're looking for people to wheel with, check out our Meet-Up page. We have 2 free off-road clubs and go on monthly club runs. We also do quarterly How-To Clinics where we teach people various off-road skills. www.meetup.com/summit-4x4-club/
Great production on this video
Thank you!
I love Summit videos. This is a great one. Chris is my hero! I'm going to get some Maxtrax.
Maxtrax are amazing just like Chris!
It's honestly dangerous to do this route when raining for sure, I've seen the washes start to run over 20 feet high out there, also I have had the weather go from completely clear to snowing and raining on me on that trail before .
The weather can certainly be unpredictable as you mentioned. Our guides always perform a risk assessment which takes into account the evenings weather. Luckily for us it only rained for a short period of time although the lightning stayed fairly consistent throughout the trip.
Where did you guys drop into the trail at??
Lake Pleasant!
Why did you go at night?
Because it's lots of fun when you can't see anything! ;)
that trail at night? in a storm? WTF? all you need now is blindfold`s.
Haha that'll be on the next one.
I'm not sure what all the hype is about this trial. I have ran it in 4 hours on both 31s and 33s and never once used a bypass or got stuck. People over hype this trail.
Rain does make it a little more difficult, but I just don't understand the rush to make this easy trail look so hard.
For some, this trail is fairly easy. We took our club members on this trail run which is comprised of varying levels of expertise. For a few, it was the hardest trail they've completed, but yes, for some, it's not as hard as others we've done.
I don’t know how I made it up this in a stock Tacoma but I did
Would love to watch that video!
