Quick question… I know you put the Clayton lift on your diesel… I’m getting ready to do the same… did you have to change the driveshaft? I think you went 1 tons… I’m not so any information you might have will help me in my planing…
Props. It looks like you took a few of the "hard way" routes. I've been up that trail so many times on dirt bikes and larger dual sport bikes (and SxS) and its amazing how much ground we can cover on the bikes. We came up to that pinch point below the Orabel Mine where guys struggled for a bit and there were like 15 jeeps and quads all hanging around trying to get through there and we were like, excuse me, pardon me and went right between everyone and were on our way. All that said, it looked to me like you did a great job spotting and good job getting everyone through there. I was just up there today in my Jeep and went a different way that was much more "friendly". But again, props on a great video and trail ride!
Oh man, your first time running the Backway to CK. That is a trail that can be as fun as you want. It is nice to go with someone who knows the trail to really enjoy the whole thing. Woman in the Jeep with no air down tools was in high range during her 1st obstacle. 16:36 you have to stay way right and go up the bank a little or go completely left in the creek and up that side. 19:05 you have to hit that section at a 45 degree angle to the left and you will go right up that section - just like you proved with your Gladiator.
@@OverlandishAdventures there are some great camping spots up in the Crown King area especially closer to the Horsethief Basin that is away from the high traffic areas. You should also add Waggoner Rd to your route from Peeples Valley. Great road/trail especially when pulling an off road trailer.
Great video of some technical Wheelin' & great spotting! I'm looking to add more Badges to my Jeep and this is within 200ish miles from home, so it may be time for a road trip soon...
I got video of my buddy Phillip going up the waterfall with water running in his land cruiser....that is a treacherous obstacle...glad y'all had fun...I'm doing that trail tomorrow...wish me luck.
Looks like a blast. I really need to venture out more, I usually stick to my little bubble of wheeling down in AJ and Florence haha. Looks like I’m missing out. I’m more of a fullsize guy, but nice Jeeps!
That trail is tiresome, you all did great. Those hang up areas are definitely a pain in the ass when they are wet. Last month, We made it through the rough spots just before the rain and snow started coming down.
I find it strange, all these Crown King adventures, and I haven't seen any TJs in any groups. Have they gotten too few from the intense AZ heat? I would think that they would do better due to them being smaller and lighter....
Hey guys, have you had any issues with the diesel gladiator since you got it? Did it have to go into the shop for anything diesel or def related? Also what time do you have on it and do you like it? Thanks a lot in advance
AJ, no problems at all. It has done a few weird things I think that our banks has caused but nothing really to report on tho just some misc error that never caused any real problems. We love our diesel
@@OverlandishAdventures good to know. It seems like they fixed whatever issues they were having when they first came out. Thanks for the reply and info
If you ever go up the backside of Mount Lemmon near Tucson let those of us that live in the area know, not an honor badge trail but still a little challenging and beautiful scenery.
@@OverlandishAdventures I do, but I don't get on that much, I'll keep an eye out more often I think. Still want my girls to meet you some day. I try to give them examples of strong, confident, well rounded women role models that don't have a narrow view on life. You do well at being comfortable as who you are, and still being diverse.
The trail took the whole day, but we were also with multiple rigs. If you ever travel with like three or four you might get through it faster. Lots of scratchy stuff on the trail..
Jason you obviously have no clue what you are talking about. Mining copper on that small of a scale would be a waste of time. Crown King is a gold mine
You are right, but we all have to start somewhere... This particular driver had never been off road before. Give him a little slack. This driver, also not us, just a friend.
I know this is gonna piss off every "J" "Empty" "Every" "Pocket" driver but really ? With a straight axel , at 33" tires , any TACOMA can handle that w/o some half arse spotter with big boobies !
Tacomas are great trucks. We had one. You can point out that the Tacoma is capable, but zero reason to make it about a woman’s body . Ps the Jeep community is much larger and more enjoyable than the Tacomas. Oh and I am a fantastic spotter. Just because I have big boobs doesn’t change that.

What are those air down tools called and where can I get them? Do they air down to a certain PSI or do you have to monitor them?

Love that snazberry gladiator with the gold wheels. Great combo!
Love your Gladiator setup!! Great spotting for everyone - it makes a huge difference when you can’t see everything and your with newer off-roaders
Awesome to see you out there with Socal Gladiators! Looking forward to future runs!
Trail looks a lot different now. I ran it in a stock 1975 CJ-5 back in 88'.

You're an excellent spotter.
I just completed this trail! I don’t have any Jeep friends to go out with like this, I would love to join next time y’all go out in AZ
Hit us up on Insta, we are always down to wheel with new friends

Wow what a fun trail. I need to go to AZ and check out some trails. Love to do a trail with you guys. As long as you don't mind a Samurai. 😁
Thumbnail is nice.

Was a great trip

Diff environment , lots in the rubicon & Colorado trails. also depends on the group who is hosting the event
Damn, would have love to come out with guys

Know this trail well. It looks like it has degraded even further now than last spring. Just more funner lol.

It’s a dirt road, absolutely nothing challenging about back way to Mt Lemmon
@@celticsfaninthedesert4778 when was the last time you went up the backside of Mt Lemmon?
@@roberthuish9901 I do it numerous times a year, as well as Rice Peak. So to answer your question probably 6 months ago
Did u guys camped close to the trail?

We do that one all the time we have a gladiator and wrangler we would love to join sometime
Do you follow our FB or insta ?
17:59 air down more you would had that
Are any of those JT Rubicons stock ? Can't tell if they are lifted or have larger tires
They are prolly more than likely mining copper instead of gold
That’s possible, although the area near this had a lot of mining towns for every mineral. My guess is silver
Jason you obviously have no clue what you are talking about. Mining copper on that small of a scale would be a waste of time. Crown King is a gold mine
Expect damage and expensive repairs
I mean its still a jeep
Funny how money dont make you good.
sorry but that was 80% lack of knowledge in angle of approach and choosing an good line. youngin`s :}
