If those guys you were with have done that trail before, they have not done you any favors. Even with a bigger lift and bigger tires, you're not making it up the last 12 or 13 miles. Especially not now, it's much worse than it's been in the past. It's awesome to see someone off roading something other than a Wrangler or a Bronco.
The back way to crown king is brutally Especially the rockway...! I jus did it on my sxs... that ford could definitely NOT make it... but that looked like a fun time with the family! That's what it's all about👍🏽
The mud keeps the Side by Sides away slings up all over them good time to go I was up there in February hardly any around. The mess on my jeep took a few days with the pressure washer to get it all off. How much did you air down to really need to get the air out on in that mud I go down to 10 psi I think too many are afraid they lose bead I never do no bead lockers I'm running 37 MTR's on my jeep maybe sidewalls are stiff enough. Frist time I had it in lot of MUD on it didn't need any lockers entire way wife was too scared to let me do some of the better optional I have done them all before. I have taken a F-150 up years ago at night it was dry it had a posi in the back comes standard we put 2 100 lbs sand bags in the back also no trouble at all getting up. I don't go up it much anymore too many side by sides on that trail now too many everywhere now.
Made it pretty far for the kind of weather we had those couple days. Let it dry up acouple days and next time you'll make it no problem with out a locker ! Glad to see you finally made it out there, great trail 👍
I was assuming you had the 4x4 package with Hi/Lo but I saw on another video that you don't. We also have the 2h/4a package in our 2019 Max and I was wondering how it would do offroad. We had it in Tennessee 2 weeks ago pulling our 29ft camper up and down some ice sheets road. It impressed me a lot in snow mode. I know it doesn't have lockers and has open diffs but it felt like even distribution between all 4 wheels and I never felt one slip independently from the others. What are your wheels and tire specs and which Icon suspension package are you running if you don't mind me asking?
Correct, unfortunately just couldn’t find the FX4 package in our price range. But yeah the 4A has been great! That’s awesome on the ice roads !! Were those with factory tires ? Editing a video right now on a walk around of our Expedition 💪 Stage 2 Icon , 285 75 BFGs All Terrain KO2 tires
Biggest things I've done so far is definitely the suspension lift , tires and built the kitchen in the back 👍 You can check out my Instagram for all the details!!
@@kingdomoverlanding went yesterday, from lake pleasant, did 2:15 going and 3 caming back but in the way back was a diff route, less obstacles was lil longer but Can actually speed more, and more smooth.. took my quad me and some friend
Wrong vehicle dude! I did that on accident about ten years ago in my stock 99 xj no problem missed the left turn to go back around to the hot springs. Haha long day. Oh it was rain and snow had my pops and mom in tow in there yj mom was not happy! Hahahaha but she still talks about it today 😅
WOW what a deal. You RISKED your life for the making of this video. I dont know how u made it but you did
Lol
thanks. really enjoyed the video
Absolutely! Glad to hear it

That's what I've heard too haha gets nastier after every rain/snow storm
Thanks !!

Haha it must've gotten even worse since we tried it. Yeah we really need 37s and at least 1 locker
Did this ride on dirt bike many times in 80s. Not a bad trail then.

That’s an awesome trip! The soupy mud is always fun to clean up afterwards lol
So much fun, slippin and sliding everywhere lol 🤣

Thank you 🤙 Next time we will!
Long wheelbase and small tires, plus no locker, it's not making it past the last two obstacles that don't have bypasses.

@@kingdomoverlanding yes, factory tires. I was really surprised with it overall. I look forward to the walk around.
Awesome 👌 I’ve been able to get thru some nasty stuff on Sand mode and Traction control off and Advance Trac off
what kind of locker for the front are you gonna get.great music
Doing the research right now, but leaning towards an ARB with the onboard air! Glad you liked the music, sometimes its a struggle!!
@@kingdomoverlanding sounds great finding room is hard good luck.
Thanks 💪💪
What up grades did you do to the expedition. I just bought a 98 & am wanting top turn it into an overlanding vehicle.

Wow that was sketchy! Nothing worse that being cross axle and wheels-in-the-air on wet slick mud/clay. Pucker factor for sure!
Haha absolutely and with 3 kids in the car 🤣
What's the rattling noise at the end? Is that the driveshaft or something? Quite the knocking noise
Lol nah , the wind dam on the roof rack gets loose , need to fab a better bracket for it
Was that from lake pleasant to crow king.? How many hours.? Round trip? How many hours from pleasant to crown king and back to pleasant..?
Hard to say totally depends on the trail traffic and what kind of rig you have and whether or not you are gonna hit all the obstacle's

@@kingdomoverlanding you know the other way back to lake pleasant.? Les obstacles was smother
Do you have a rear locker?
We do not unfortunately
Yeah, not a good vehicle for that route. Probably could have made the other back route though. You should look into that one. But A for effort.
For a relatively stock 4 wheel independent suspension, it did well for the conditions.
Absolutely! Next time airing down for sure haha

I hear ya on that! Open diffs back then and still on 35s , super tough on that wheelbase
