When I was younger I did not like ford because of what I was told by everybody else but as time went on ford earned my respect now I drive a ford truck I have for a while now I say form your own opinions this brand loyalty crap is stupid I also like Chevy too
Only time I had computer go out on a car and later having a blown head gasket was one a Chevy (same vehicle). I prefer cars that you don't have to take engine mounts off to change serpentine belts, along with extra stuff that isn't necessary to get to other commonly replaced parts (like taking whole air system off to get battery out). I'll stick to Ford and Toyota...GM products aren't worth the trouble.
Really good point about the 300k vs 3k miles argument. I've had only Chevy's but i did have one 93 ford f 350 but the Ford did break down a few timea for reasons I couldn't explain or figure out. Always started backup again lol the thing just had a mind of its own. The tanny started to go out on the 93 ford at 180k. Ehh not to impressed. But then again my 99 Chevy express just left me stranded 1 hour away from home with a blown crankshaft position sensor. Had to have it towed for $300+ and everything. It was a horrible experience. The crankshaft sensor looked very cheaply made. But then again, that was a van, and we are talking about trucks here. I have always been a Chevy guy because I think they look nicer and ussually pull harder but now that ford is focousing exclusively on trucks I think I would only go with ford from 2019 and onward.
Depends what years 1999-2006 Silverados r bulletproof 2007-2013 are pretty reliable 2014-2018 slightly less reliable 2019+ I wouldn’t buy one cuz they got 2x as bad with lifter failures 1989-1996 F150s I hear are some of best trucks ever made 1997-2001 or whatever reliable Mid 2000s f150a with triton V8 engines are trash But Ford got their shit together 2011+ with the 5.0L coyote and eco boost engines I like both brands tbh fuck dodge tho
I've had all brands and you have to keep the maintenance up on the Ford s a chevy can take more abuse and keep going .I would never buy another Ford I dont have any confidence in them .and I've had good luck with Dodges they make a good truck
Everyone has there own opinions and experiences. I have owned them all as well. And my experience is this; none of them are any better than the other. They just have different problems. But they all have problems.
G Mc again, we all have our own experiences. My Fords treated me well. I’ve had a total of 9 of them over the years and three of them hit 300,000 miles before I got Rid of them and they were still running fine. I’ve had equal luck with Chevy’s too. And the Ram I currently own has also been fine.
@@UsedEveryDay I'm glad you have had good luck with your Trucks .I've had better luck with Chevys and Dodges .also on chevys they interchange parts really well and Dodges and Fords dont Interchange parts like a Chevy. From 55 till 87 parts exchange this helps a poor person out .were not changing each other's minds .you seem like a good hard working man and someone i can call a friend .good luck in all your endeavors.
@@gmc1284 well that’s the same thing with GM, my cars 3800 blew and my GM family said “that engine is indestructible”, and then my brothers 2500HD went through 2 transmissions and a transfer case not to mention other things.

I just can't trust a Ford I've found them to be un reliable I've tried to give them a chance but after getting burned I can't do it again .
