  • I haven't done a Tire review on the federal Couragia MT tires I was using on my 2004 F250 Superduty since January of 2019. It was time to give you guys an update why and what happened. I also give you my final impression of the Federal Couragia in this video.

Thankyou for the real follow-up. Most videos are from guys with zero experience. Sorry about your accident

Yep. I barely got 15k out of mine before they’re incredibly unsafe in any wet asphalt. Traction? Non existent if there is moisture for me. I’m driving a 2001 f250 7.3 crew cab long bed. I’m about to switch to good year fierce attitude MTs. People have really good reviews about them.

I had a ‘97 crew cab long bed 7.3. I ran Toyo open country and also Nankang mudstar tires on that truck. Both worked fine for me but of course the Toyo’s were obviously the better tire.

@@UsedEveryDay I may have to just dish the money on the Toyos cause I’m definitely tired of replacing tires generally every year with only 30-40k on most

Samuel Yi I’m not sure you’ll get much more than 40k out of the Toyo’s either. That’s all I got out of mine and they were beyond needing replaced by the time I got them replaced.
It’s going to boil down to maintaining proper air pressures for the tasks your performing and regular rotations combined with how you use the vehicle. In my experience, if you drive dirt or gravel roads on a regular basis you’ll never get more than 40,000 miles. And more likely 35,000. But again that’s going to depend on frequency etc.
towing will reduce tire life as well, more heat is generated, especially on the rear tires and they’ll wear out much quicker.
In my opinion, if you do anything more than regular, unloaded highway driving you’ll never go above 40,000 miles.
I’ve bought a lot of tires over the years, both cheap and expensive. For trucks and SUV’s, and I’ve never gotten more than 40k on a set. Even really expensive tires. But I have always towed a lot, drove lots of dirt roads etc.

Thank you for the long term review. I'm in Socal, rock crawling is the fun out here, however driving to the playgrounds can be long drives. Again thank you for the review.

Similar here in FL. I drive minim 2 hours 1 way up to 4 hours to reach my offroad destinations/events. No rocks though mud and sand here.

Always sucks to loose a vehicle you loved. Hope you're liking Texas though. Also love your new truck.

Have to disagree with your assessment of these tires. I am on my 3rd set and I am getting almost 60k miles off of them. I also run a 10ply tire load range E. I run them on a Ford expidition. I don't use 4 wheel drive much with these tires on. Yes they do howl but they are a truck tire. Mh philosophy is if the aren't howling going down the road than something is wrong, you shouldn't be there. As far as snow I can plow snow with them in two wheel drive, thats all I need to say. I used to run Duartrac tires and they do not come close to these.

I look for 12V Cumins trucks for reliable results.
