  • This is Ali, one of my incredible students from my recent STAGE communication workshop. He's an excellent communicator, but one of his biggest challenges is his volume.
I'm sure many of you can relate to this - without volume, we lack clarity and belief in what we say. It's the lifeblood of our voice!
If you're ready to learn how to master your communication skills join me at my upcoming in-person workshop!

All my life, especially in class, I’ve struggled with speaking loud enough for people to hear me. And even when I think I’m almost screaming, people still tell me they can’t hear me. I guess I really do need to almost scream and I’ve just been afraid of sounding stupid because I tend to be shy, even if I’m confident in what I’m trying to say. So thank you so much for this. God bless you ❤

At my first job, I was required to give speeches to an audience of 10-20 people. Another difficulty was that it was hot in the room, it was summer, so we had to open the window. And my quiet voice was also drowned out by the noise from the street. My boss told me to speak louder from the back rows, but as a result, after two weeks I lost my voice. For another two weeks I somehow performed every day. But this was not at all easy, because I was struggling with hoarseness in my throat. Fortunately, I quit a month after I got hired and will never accept a similar job again.

It’s not about loudness, it’s about pitch of one’s voice. If you have a bass or a bass-baritone timbre , your voice interferes with background noise. To overcome it, you need to increase the pitch of your voice. Getting louder is one of the ways. To know other ways you can learn singing

However, if you practice singing you'll grow more comfortable with your "singing voice" - and eventually understand that your voice is great!
