  • I love Richards character development as at the beginning he didn’t really care about anyone but at the end of series 5 he really showed himself to be a good leader. I hope you all enjoy!! As always if you have any suggestions about a character/video idea you have don’t hesitate to ask, all suggestions are welcome!

    Woolsey was so well written. Originally meant to be unlikable and as an antagonistic force, you come to see that while he is critical of the leadership of stargate command, he is also a firm supporter of it and wants it to remain in good hands.
    That's why he's so critical of it, because he recognises the importance of it and wants to be constantly making sure, and re-making-sure that the best people are running it all the while keeping malevolent forces from within the U.S government from gaining control of the program for their own nefarious ends.

      It's also that he's well acted. Robert picardo and an interview mentioned that each time he came back he slightly revised wolsey's given circumstances.

    I liked all the Cmdrs of Atlantis, Weir because she was full of wonder, and the city, the galaxy was unknown, very Season 1 of Stargate,. Carter brought experience and wisdom from the Milky Way, and Woolsey brought order, honesty and gravitas to Atlantis and the Atlantis team. Weir was the Colonial Leader, Carter was the Military Cmdr and Woolsey was the Atlantian Governor.

    12:00, something I always find funny is that Ronon is from a planet equivalent to the 1930s, and was in special ops. So either he's doing it on purpose, his people didn't do mission reports, or the funniest thought, this is the actual Satedan Planetary Forces equivalent of a mission report.

    • @Ork20111
      @Ork20111 2 роки тому +9

      Yeah, but Ronon is not exactly the special forces type any more. Far to undiciplines, uncontrolled and not a great team player. But I suggest getting hunted by wraith for sport for years does change you.

      @@Ork20111 Hm, good point. He does seem more together in the flashbacks we see on Sateda. At the same time, I do wonder if given his planet and what we know of his people, the discipline thing might just be different or less advanced than Earth. Woolsey went from crunching numbers to pushing papers to see when it is neccesary to go above and beyond. I truly liked him in the end and thought he was an excellent leader in many ways. When Rodney was suffering from that dementia parasite it was not off straight to earth but allowed the trip to this "mythical" place that turned out to be radioactive. Sadly when they had the crossover involving the Ori, they regressed sheppard and McKay's relationship having Sheppard join in on the hate on McKay. Woolsey in SG1 was uncaring, bureaucrat, while in SGA, he instead acted as a mature leader. SG1 Weir wasn't the worst but had her hands tied most of the time, in SGA, she didn't because there was no connection to earth.
