Would you mind to do a video of General’s TSO Chicken. I love it, but not as much as I love your video. Keep adding content and I’ll keep watching.!
Promotion of a product you look like you don't use.
That zojirushi rice cooker is the goat. Best appliance I've ever bought.
Is it powerful enough to do your balls too?
Technical there is lots of sweet and sour foods in certain regions in China
This Orange Chicken recipe is just spot on my friends, the double fry allows it to stay at the perfect level of crispiness and the batter really protects the chicken from drying out in any way, 11/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND and HAPPY COOKING to you all!
Yum, almost as good as ginger beef. :)
Whats up dude!
I can't wait to make this one, man!! My girlfriend has a somewhat simple palate, so I don't make too many exotic dishes. But she said she likes this one, and I know she's only ever had the buffet bullshit. Can't wait to blow her mind with this! YOUuuuuu know I loveyouandI'mout!!!
A delicious dish, period. 😋
Egg in batter = no crisp
My 6 year old Daughter (Finn-Riley) has been watching you with me for over a year. She just begged me to "say hi to Sunny" and tell him "if you know you know." She has been cooking with me for a while, but ever since she found you she watches you cook at least an hour a day, has her own chef jacket now, and every time she hears the word rosemary, even from another room, she yells IF YOU KNOW YOU KNOW.
Just wanted to say thank you, not only for some great recipes, but more for being an inspiration to all types - including a budding 6 year old chef.
Tell Finn-Riley I say Hi back, so awesome she already has a chef jacket, AND A COOK IS BORN!! thanks for sharing your story
@@thatdudecancook I bet you just made a young girl very happy, as a mum of a 10 month old myself right now, my heart is melting. And ofc your recipe looks great too!
@@bianka4001 Oh she did. She smiled from ear to ear!
That’s so precious!! My kiddo keeps abusing the fridge!
This is just precious !!
My son *only* ever gets orange chicken or General Tso's chicken when we get takeout. I sent him this recipe. It might be enough to get him to cook lol.
he will love it!
It'll save him money too
That fridge battle was epic!!!! Oh and the chicken looked delicious too 😂
it shouldn't have laughed at me
What's the deal with the fridge!!!!
@@rizdalegend it mocks him so it must be punished!!
Please share measurements for spice mix mentioned @ 3:14. Thanks!
You are the sole reason I've put on 10 kilos so far this year. Love the new me!
Your spice mix is very popular in UK and is called ‘Salt and Chilli’. Used for Salt and Chilli chicken or salt and chilli chips.
I made this tonight for dinner and enjoyed it very much. The texture on the chicken was great. It’s just like Chinese take out chicken fingers, crispy and airy. As he says in the video it kept the inside of the chicken extra juicy. I have made a few different orange chicken sauces and this is my new favorite. This was the first recipe of yours I have made and I’m excited to try others!
You have easily become my favorite UA-cam chef, and I watch a lot of UA-cam Chefs. Thank you dude.
Made this last night and man it was amazing. Still tasting the flavor this morning.
Wow! Thanks for this Sunny! Orange chicken is super underrated and one of my favourite dishes of all time! I just clicked on the video and I'm so excited to watch it.
This recipe absolutely blew my mind. Thank you for such great guidance and entertainment at the same time!
I friggen love your videos man! Your hilarious and your skills are undeniable
I’m not sure Sargent Gilbert approves of your love for white pepper
Wow! Made this tonight. That was incredible! Perfect recipe. 😎👍 thanks Sonny
Yet another banger Sonny, I'm here for it as always. You're the creator I have notifications turned on for.
Looks delicious and I can’t wait to try it.
I made this tonight. Another BANGER, Sonny!!!! It was delicious
Great video. Nice production values Marcus!
No MSG? Haiyahhh
Your recipes are fire man and I love your videos thanks for all that you do!
Im soooo making this! Love the channel!
My girlfriend thinks I'm a pro cook whenever I practice some of these dishes and make them for her. We both thank you brother. Big blessings friend
This was AMAZING! Thank you so much
I just made this, I can say from the bottom of my heart that this is amazing. Please arm triangle that fridge! Good content.
Also a side note to frying this way, the frying oil stays cleaner, helping you kinda stretch it out for re use longer.
the 80th synth tune at start alone makes me want to cook it!
Enjoyed ur video as usual and the fridge part was really funny
Oh my goodness...this was sooo gooood man. Many thumbs of for the dude!!!! Thank you for sharing this!!!!!!!!!!
Seriously the best video you have ever made - so much quality comedy, good cooking, and just gorgeous money shots of the food. Amazing. BUT WHY THE HECK ARE YOU SO OBSESSED WITH FRESNO CHILIS??
I'd say you and Internet Shaquille are the two most approachable, inspirational, and funny youtube chefs there are
Dude... I came across this video yesterday in deep UA-cam session .tonight I followed the recipe (made the batter) and cooked chicken rice and broccoli... OmG!!!!! This is the best batter ever! I am going to use this for fish and Shrimp and much more! It's not heavy or greasy either! Awesome job!
Contrary to what many people believe, orange chicken actually comes from China, not America! The original dish is called "chun pei" and is made with diced chicken, dried orange peel, and other spices, and is a classic dish from Hunan province. Chinese immigrants adapted the recipe to suit American tastes, and it became popular in the 1980s when it was introduced to the menu of the Chinese-American fast food chain, Panda Express. Nowadays, orange chicken is still inspired by traditional Chinese cooking and can be found in many Chinese restaurants, often with their own unique twist on the recipe. The dish's evolution is a great example of how cultures can influence each other, even through something as simple as food.
Ahhh another fan of the Chinese Cooking Demystified channel?
I agree on white pepper. Game changer.
DEF making this one. Thanks!
Epic. Wonderful stuff.
That chicken was incedibly crunchy!! Awesome recipe!!!
07:28 your fridge just about shit itself! You’re a star. Love your work!
That sauce looks amazing I usually do orange and cinnamon, I will make this without doubt. thanks for sharing 👍👍👍👍😎🍊
duuuuude, this is awesome!!!
Downloaded this for supper sith my family made way more than the recipe called for...absolutely zero regrets...didn't even have rhe sherry or wine but whoa Nelly was this an epic win with my family...wow this one's archived
Dude, your videos crack me up!!! ….and your recipes are the bomb!!!!
Damn I knew this would be good but it was way better than I expected. The sauce is definitely the best part, it was absolutely delicious. I added some orange juice to it and put in a bit more zest & peels to make it super orangey. Looking forward to using it for a bunch of other meals. Keep it comin'
Made this last night and it came out delicious... Just one question -- How do you get those battered up pcs of chicken to not stick on the bottom of the pan in the first fry? -- Thanks Sonny! Love the channel!
Mmmmm so good. You should do a video on Karaage with a nice dipping sauce. Thanks Dude
Another great video!
Looks so delish and you’re hilarious 😂😂❤
Thanks. Tried this tonight. Learnt an important lesson. If sonny is lowering chicken in oil one at a time, then that is how its done!! Still, pulled it all together at the end, and it worked out great. Cheers 👍
Thanks for that tip, I'm usually one to just chuck it all in and try to separate it with the slotted spoon lol. I made this tonight for my family and it turned out great thanks to your "don't be greedy" tip. Thank you
glad you let tht ish up top go
I enjoy you hitting the fridge so much! 🤣
Great vid.
You’re hilarious.
Thanks for sharing.
Life is good~
Oh man that looks sooooooooooooooooooooooo good.
At the end of the year can we get a montage of all the refrigerator hits for the year? I think that'd be neat!
OMG this convinced me to keep ordering this as take out…above my pay grade!!!😅
Love your videos!! Could you please add directions to your recipes??
I would truly appreciate it!!
mirin can be ordered online and usually at a wegmans or whole foods,or an asian store like h mart. you want it. it's also needed if you want real teriyaki. we use it in a lot of stuff
Your orange tossing skillz are ridiculous my man!!
I took the time to do a measurement conversion for the nail biters. 1 nail length = 1.5 nubs
How amazing does this look? I'll tell you...EPIC for sure!!!!!! Thanks for sharing an incredible recipe 😊
❤Annie
Lololol 😂...the weight and the throw with sound effects... one of your best yet... 😂
The woohs and other sounds are money!!
Yummy!!
Ooouuu! Yeah!
That's looks SOOO good man !! Thanks a lot for sharing :)
I like the guy in the back being audible it’s my favorite
Very good orange chicken. Tastes like Chinese orange chicken but soon much better! Thank you!
Chicken Bouillon has MSG….that’s why it’s a good additive lol
That looks good. Does the white pepper shaker have a name?
Hey Sonny! I love your channel! Thanksgiving & Xmas were a hit because of you. Im still an uber noob & was wondering if you could clarify something: when deep frying, do you take the temp of the oil all the way to 325F ( first fry) then drop in the chicken or do you try to over temp then when the chicken is added lowers to 325F? I brought the oil to 325F, added the chicken ( in batches) & 5he temp dropped almost 100 degrees. Thanks & love the vids homie!
Not sure if anyone else mentioned it but a Y shaped potato peeler for large strips of zest is best. As an experienced chef it's rare to find good techniques and recipes, and even the equipment recommendations are solid as well. Funny AF. Nice job bro.
Hey this beard merch looks intriguing for my Pops Fathers Day gift. Gonna check it out thanks! Oh and I like the shave look you’ve done. Handsome.
Orange chicken, great flavors..
You should make a short on how to make it🤝🔥
I made this last night and just went to sneak a leftover bite out of the fridge and no bullshit helen keller could still hear that crunch from her grave 🙌
now that is somethin right there.
Right square in the ice maker
Awww, Doood..! I'm so "freaking" hungry, right now..! 👍🏻
Dude! Manscape that backyard
thanks for dinner !
looks smackin
@ThatDudeCanCook Can you recommend a rice cooker?
I know that “CHINESE food from your local”Chinese restaurant is not exactly Chinese food but it is so good!
Thanks for teaching me an interesting juggling trick. I'm going to incorporate it not only into my list if potential hobbies IRL but also into a D&D campaign I'm in where my character loves to juggle using the Magic Stone cantrip. ^_^
Not Chinese technically, but Chinese folks in America made it. Chinese fare with American ingredients, I'd say. People need to get rice cookers already.
Just before i watch the whole thing.
Chinese resturant style sweet and sour sauce i accidentally figured out making sweet peppers and onions for a sweet and hot philly cheesesteak - red bell pepper sliced long and super thin, pad of butter start to sautee with a pinch of MSG - then 3 2 1 in terms of parts, I find one tbs with single portion parts after your red bell peppers - 3 olive oil, 2 grenadine 1 lime margarita mix.
Sautee down until the liquid thickens - the pepper adds the solids you find in sweet chili sauce... and I know what your thinking... "you said resturant style sweet and sour, not spring roll sauce?!?!?"
Their the same, the only difference is red chili flakes, start adding with a pinch and adjust - you can't take the flakes out, you can always add more.
Suggestion; Sgt. Gilbert's assistant; Cpl. Cooper (white pepper)
Crispy Little French Fries 🤣🤣🤣
Zojirushi Rice Cooker, thats a good piece of equipment. I would recommend an Aroma Rice Cooker if you are on a budget, it will be great for 90% of people.
"I'm a psycho " god u love that cook!
Cracked me up
'Ya almost got the Gordon Ramsay cooking video body shimmy down perfect!
"Did you chop up the ginger, Harry?" Dumbledore asked calmly.
I wonder if you can do the korean fried chicken trick and brush the sauce onto the chicken to keep them crunchy
It’s ok to stop hitting the fridge now! Retire it to the fridge grave yard and have a service so we can be a part of it! But it’s time to stop ! We love you and your recipes!
You can tell when the shaoxing wine is not there that's something I learned with my dad when we started learning how to cook with a walk and doing Chinese foods
U r so funny Mr. Sonny. How did u ever get that idea 2 slap your hands on the counter? U r so super priceless, u make me laugh & laugh & laugh!😊
Orange chicken… As Chinese as the fortune cookie. Making this tonight 😋
Dude please share the 5 spice mix with ratios thanks!
Sonny what state is this ? 🤣
looks amazing def trying this banger
In Australia we have lemon chicken.
Dry sherry substitutes Shaoxing
