5:52 This reminds me of a Twitter post I saw the other day. Someone took a gif of these fossil Pokemon and dubbed it over with that derpy sounding harmonica version of the Jurassic Park theme. 😂
Yeah, they definitely aimed for that early fossil war theme here. You know that time where every single paleontologist wanted to be the one that discovers a new unheard-of species and ended up mixing bones to their likings. I mean even now it seems we still misinterpret fossils quite a bit.
I love the not-so-subtle shade that this generation throws at Victorian-era British paleontologists with the fossil Pokémon. Like, “Just throw all the bones together and say we found something new!” It’s hilarious to see the dex struggle to come up with a description for them that can even approach an explanation for how these mismatched fossils would have functioned if they truly represented a Pokémon.
Arctozolt: struggling of speed Dracozolt: body ratio is uneven Arctovish: mismatched head made him struggle with hunger Dracovish: gills instead of lungs Any fossil Pokémon: cool! We got resurrected and could live our life again! Galas fossil Pokémon: *existence is pain*
Dreepy's Sword Pokédex entry: "After being reborn as a ghost Pokémon, Dreepy wanders the areas it used to inhabit back when it was alive in prehistoric seas." Can you imagine if you used to live in a part of the sea that is now either the middle of the Sahara desert or the top of Mount Everest and get reborn as a ghost there? That's just messed up.
Yep, its based on the England fossil craze back in the day, when palenteologists would try to one up each other by smashing together bones to make new species
Pokédex: Hatterene is also known as "The Forest Witch" It will even be able to destroy her own trainer. That would be the truly reason why Hatterene, Hattrem and Hattena would never appear in the anime; they could end the human life forever...
Elgyem and Beeheyem aren't exactly creepy but pretty disturbing. Elgyem (in Sword) : If this Pokémon stands near a TV, strange scenery will appear on the screen. That scenery is said to be from its home. Beeheyem (in Sword): Whenever a Beheeyem visits a farm, a Dubwool mysteriously disappears.
I love how one of dragovish's entries are that it's an incredibly awkward design as it is made for land but has to breathe in water and the other says it went extinct because it was the apex of apex and literally hunted all it's food to extinction
I found some pokedex enteries Gourgiest in Sword: Eerie cries emanate from its body in the dead of night. The sounds are said to be the wails of spirits who are suffering in the afterlife. Morgem in Sword: When it gets down on all fours as if to beg for forgiveness, its trying to lure opponents in so that it can stab them with its spear like hair.
As much pain the fossils are in, I still absolutely adore them, and they're some of my favorites from the generation. The freaks need loving too, ya know?
After seeing the whole Hatterene line entries, how they don’t like a lot of emotion or prefer to be away from people These Pokémon are just big introverts
Up until generation 8, there has never been such an evil pokemon like Hatterene or any of it's pre evolutions. It's like the doppelganger of Gardevoir. Physic types are usually neutral in what they do, and the most harm fairy types do is usually cause mischief. It's very diverse in how apathetic and emotionless it is, it's not malicious like other evil pokemon (as far as we know). Whether you're a pokemon or human, a stranger or someone close to it, or even others of it's kind or they're own offspring, it will attack you simply because you're show too much emotions or are too loud (sounds like it's triggered). The 'antisocial pokemon' suits it more better since it doesn't like people approaching it. One of the possible origins of the evolution line being based on the 'Cuca', a female bogeyman that are mentiined in old lullabies in order to scare children to sleep or stay quiet. Another one of Hatterene's possible origins is the Harionago, a Japanese yokai that has the appearance of a beautiful woman with long hair with barbed thorns in them. This possibly explains its friendly and feminine look and its pink and light blue color pallete, this pokemon could be attempting to trick people and other pokemon so it could gain trust, then tear its 'loved ones' apart to eat. Possibly.

Don’t worry, Lillie. You’ve always been a good girl.
I remember this Lillie account. You sure have made some......interesting comments in the past...
Love? That's too strong of an emotion. You can only agree with it
Remember the horrible feelings when your mother was taken by a Nhilego
5:20 Reminds me of the face stealer from avatar, if you show emotion
Me: happy that my hattrem just evolved
Hattrem: I’m gonna end this mans whole career
Dracavish: Cannot breathe unless underwater.
Also Dracavish: *Literally walking around on land right now in the background.*
"Can't breath above water"
*Has it in the camp*
Hope you get to the fact Corsela is a ghost and the air was to toxic for KOFFING.
UA-cam: *tries to make itself more kid friendly
Pokemon: *I'm about to end this man's whole career*
5:28 Well that explains why Exploud didn't make it to the Galar dex
Arjun Kaycee but Noivern made it. Despite even being a dragon.
Hayley Crawford And noivern can be found where hatterene spawns in the overworld. Oh god...
RIP Noivern killed too young
Somehow this got even darker.
Whismer: _"Papa? You said our kind originated from the Galar region. By any chance you think we can go back to see our hom--"_
Exploud: *_"NO!!!_*_ ... ERM, NO MY SON. I'M AFRAID WE CAN NEVER GO BACK..."_
Whismer: _"But Papa, why is that?"_
Exploud: _"... IT'S... NOT OUR HOME... not anymore..."_
(stares off into space and quietly runs his trembling hand over the grisly, Hatterene claw-shaped scar across his blinded left eye...)
Hattrem: Sir, your vibes are atrocious
Morgrem's Pokedex:
When it gets down on all fours as if to beg for forgiveness‚ it's trying to lure opponents in so that it can stab them with it's spear-like hair.
@Sir Embrum49 The Great Moth Gonna call mine starscream XD
@Sir Embrum49 The Great Moth athough the next evolution litteraly uses its own hair as fake muscle fiber... so yeah...
@Sir Embrum49 The Great Moth Yup... now i seriously wanna name my imp Starscream
@Sir Embrum49 The Great Moth or even make a straight-up transformers themed team, should I go Decepticon only or mix around?
Imagining Ash already accepting apology and getting stabbed to close off anime
Runerigus (Shield Entry):
Never touch its shadowlike body, or you'll be shown the horrific memories behind the picture carved into it.
Hatterene just wants to live a quiet life
Hatterene doesn't normally fight, but would not lose to anyone if provoked
Until she meets the Doomslayer. Then she'd better back tf down, or face eviction from life via Super Shotgun blast.
@@aardbei54 yes but what Mon would be killer queen?
godammit Jojo...
That’s the reason why she will never appear in the anime, even in the wild.
Even Ash and Go will can’t catch her.
Supposedly the fossil pokemon are based on a time in history when people in Europe would make up stories about strange fossils.
I thought it was due to them back then putting the wrong skeleton parts on different bodies cause they thought they matched when they didnt.
Two TheJwittz videos in one week, it must be....
A new Pokémon game is upon is. For real though, happy to see consistent content on SwSh.
Oh, I can't wait until the Pokémon anime reminds us about the horrible abominations the fossil chimeras are.
Sa... Toshi... Big bro Satoshi...!
@@Mellion555 No
And wait when Hatterene slap and punch Ash and Go
There seem to be a lot of Pokemon rating other Pokemon’s insides this generation, heatmor apparently eats the insides of Durants
That’s old information though lol
Pokemon White Heatmor Pokedex Entry: Using their very hot, flame-covered tongues, they burn through Durant's steel bodies and consume their insides.
We been knew that since Gen 5
No no, they always did that.
Oh, sorry didn’t realise that nevermind
Alcremie is my new fav pokemon for many reasons, but the fact the Pokedex tells me how she tastes does seem pretty creepy...
Was someone out there licking all 63 alcremie versions and noting how each tasted?
Alcremie is also very good in competitive.
LOL
Dylan J That’s good to know I lowkey wanted to use it
No, it conjures up cream from its hands.
@@MrAuthor3DS 63 Alcremies are too many to befriend for that method. Some were licked for sure
Thwackey be like "Doro! Monsta Cardo!"
Take that Weedle!
This just isn't your day!
now i wish i chose grooky so i could name it yami
“I’m so depressed, I don’t want to live anymore...”
The Hatterene line: I gotchu, fam.
Honedge: *Gets revenge on the killer*
Narrator: What? Honedge Is about to evolve!
2:55 it doesn't eat the shell...and when they're traded karrablast ends up with the shell
But that doesn't explain how shelmet is fine after the trade... orr is that why its evolved form is all bandaged o.o
It would make more sense if it hat 1 HP after the trade.
One of Accelgor's entries do say that it keeps itself wrapped in "bandages" of membrane to stay moist enough to survive.
Sobbles: *"You have no idea what thousands of years of grief has done to me"*
4:17
Thwacky: im a drummer
Drizzle and raboot: wheres your drum?
Thwacky: *you are the drum*
Edit: i made a comic about that

Here it is. Didnt know if it'd be rude to send a link of your own content in someone elses video .
I want to learn even MORE about Pincurchin and Snom. Especially Snom!
Jesus, the fossils look like malfunctioning Mr.Potato Heads. All these parts being shoved where they don't go? I almost feel bad that I restored a Dracovish now.
Surprised the pikachu getting eaten entry wasn't in here. IT LITERALLY ISN'T STRUGGLING!
5:52 This reminds me of a Twitter post I saw the other day. Someone took a gif of these fossil Pokemon and dubbed it over with that derpy sounding harmonica version of the Jurassic Park theme. 😂
"Children used to have it as a snack"
Low battery on controller. Even the controller can't handle the description.
*_"Creep Sword and Shield Pokedex entries"_*
I've been looking forward to this.
the galar fossil pokemon and dex entries definitely seem to be making fun of how misinterpreted fossils have been identified in the past
Yeah, they definitely aimed for that early fossil war theme here. You know that time where every single paleontologist wanted to be the one that discovers a new unheard-of species and ended up mixing bones to their likings. I mean even now it seems we still misinterpret fossils quite a bit.
There was a belief for a while that Stegosaurus had a second brain in its tail. Girafarig might have been based on that idea in fact.
Game Freak: We're turning our games more for children
Also Game Freak:
JWittz: talks about the fossil pokemon being abbonations, Arctovish: animation gets stuck. just brilliant
Despite being weird Frankenstein monsters, the fossil Pokemon are my beautiful sons.
Runerigus literally consumes the soul of an innocent yamask to evolve after the yamask is to weak to fight it back
We are all really here to see if JWittz has finally found the shiny wooloo
He did!!! Finally after destroying over 3,000
The end of his last video he found one
Kanto Pokédex entries: “This Pokemon finds its ways around sweet pollen saps .”
Galar Pokédex entries: “I shot a man in Reno...just to watch him die-“
Oh, so the thicc hat waifu can tear me apart? Thats a win-win situation for me
Arctozolt: struggling of speed
Dracozolt: body ratio is uneven
Arctovish: mismatched head made him struggle with hunger
Dracovish: gills instead of lungs
Any fossil Pokémon: cool! We got resurrected and could live our life again!
Galas fossil Pokémon: *existence is pain*
Dreepy's Sword Pokédex entry:
"After being reborn as a ghost Pokémon, Dreepy wanders the areas it used to inhabit back when it was alive in prehistoric seas."
Can you imagine if you used to live in a part of the sea that is now either the middle of the Sahara desert or the top of Mount Everest and get reborn as a ghost there? That's just messed up.
Actually, the fossil pokemon are based on chimera fossils, creatures created by cobbling together different species of fossils, normally by accident.
So basically the fossils are like analogous to when we put together dino bones incorrectly and try to explain how they would've looked in reality?
Yep, its based on the England fossil craze back in the day, when palenteologists would try to one up each other by smashing together bones to make new species
Pokédex: Hatterene is also known as "The Forest Witch"
It will even be able to destroy her own trainer.
That would be the truly reason why Hatterene, Hattrem and Hattena would never appear in the anime; they could end the human life forever...
Hatterene: even Ash Ketchum.
No, what I am saying?. Even LOSER Ash Ketchum wouldn't stop me now.
Me: Loses Game
Also Me: AW WHAT THE FU-
Hatterene: *Shushes mouth violently*
Elgyem and Beeheyem aren't exactly creepy but pretty disturbing.
Elgyem (in Sword) : If this Pokémon stands near a TV, strange scenery will appear on the screen. That scenery is said to be from its home.
Beeheyem (in Sword): Whenever a Beheeyem visits a farm, a Dubwool mysteriously disappears.
I cannot wait to hear his reactions to Gengar’s G-Max form dex entires.
Hattrem is my favorite from this region. The dex entries for the line make me love them more
Oh. Careless. Cara Liss. I can't believe I never noticed that.
I love how one of dragovish's entries are that it's an incredibly awkward design as it is made for land but has to breathe in water and the other says it went extinct because it was the apex of apex and literally hunted all it's food to extinction
I can't imagine a worse way to go then being COOKED ALIVE by 2 flaming centipede's
I found some pokedex enteries
Gourgiest in Sword: Eerie cries emanate from its body in the dead of night. The sounds are said to be the wails of spirits who are suffering in the afterlife.
Morgem in Sword: When it gets down on all fours as if to beg for forgiveness, its trying to lure opponents in so that it can stab them with its spear like hair.
The new fossil Pokemon are genuinely disturbing and I don't like them
Let's just hope we get the other halves
You forgot about Eiscue, who has a hair on its head that connects directly to its BRAIN, and Impidimp's evolutions that attack with their BODY HAIR
As much pain the fossils are in, I still absolutely adore them, and they're some of my favorites from the generation.
The freaks need loving too, ya know?
Chomp-o-nator
Dracovish acts like a Puppy. A weird, Mutant Puppy on par with Endogeny, but a puppy nonetheless
Those poor things are writhing in agony; asking for the sweet embrace of death. I love it! 😂
After seeing the whole Hatterene line entries, how they don’t like a lot of emotion or prefer to be away from people
These Pokémon are just big introverts
Possibly.
*crying noises*
Hattrem: hippity hoppity your body will now flopitty
Editor Akino um ok
Theory: Alacazam is her master.
That Cara Liss woman sounds more Dr. Frankenstein than a paleontologist. She and her creations give me the creeps. o.o
