I know that he crushed her and changed her. but she's the love of his life, the only person he truly truly cared about, regardless his fails. he was so hurt, so lost, she made him feel loved, admired, capable, she made him feel SOMEONE. he turned out his life, he achieved sucess and his goals, he felt happy again, happy for him and he deserved a second chance. he was the only one that could bring back the sweet, caring, determined Rory... but guess it's too late...Rory only sees high expectations..

This is why I love Jess and Rory as a couple. They belong together. I’m bummed that they didn’t stay together. I feel bad for Jess. Why did they ruin Rory in her college years? I’ll never understand. I’m glad that Jess came back to Stars Hollow, in season 6 and said that this isn’t you, Rory. That scene was important, because if Jess hadn’t said that, then Rory wouldn’t have returned home and Yale. Because remember, after Jess said that, in the next episode she moved out of Richard and Emily’s house and went back home, to her house. Why? Because Jess made her realize something: that she belongs with Lorelai. When she and Lorelai reunite, they hug, and I was so happy, because let’s face it; Rory didn’t want to stay with Richard and Emily forever, she had to leave at some point. Also when he was looking at her through the window, in the revival, that look on his face, shows that he still loves her. It just hits you in the feels. Edit: Thanks for 100 likes. (ok this comment was a year ago but anyway) Jess was so adamant on Rory going back to Yale because the fact that Rory did not go with Jess - resulting in leaving Yale - is the reason why their whole relationship went to shambles, but if she's given up mid way through her course at Yale then the whole breakup would have been for nothing.
It's obvious that they end up together!!!!! I HAVE NO DOUBTS. Here's why: I just started watching the series again, and you can see it already in season 1 in episode 1 and 2 even though Jess is still not there. There are obvious hints on how the story repeats itself...for example: - Rory's real name is Lorelai Gilmore too - There is a scene were they are angry at each other after discussing about going to Chilton; Rory is laying in bed, she tells her mum to leave her room, she turns on the radio and a specific song plays...then you see Lorelai doing the same in the living room (she lays on the couch, turns on the radio, and the same song plays). - Lorelai mentions several times in episode 1 how they are the same, she understands her in everything that she does or think (cause she did the same), for example when Rory doesn't want to go to Chilton after meeting Dean. “After all, you’re me,” she tells her daughter: “someone willing to throw important life experiences out the window to be with a guy.” - In episode 2, Lorelai and Rory are walking through the street, they stop outside Lukes cafe, and Lorelai asks Rory if she thinks Luke is cute; Rory tells her not to date him if not they wouldn't have anywhere to get the coffee from after they broke up...a few seconds later when they leave (they continue walking), you can see Luke getting out of the cafe looking at them in the distance (he was probably hoping they would go in), cause he wanted to see Lorelai...plus you can definitely see he has feelings for her (and vice versa, but I don't think Lorelai is really aware...yet). After that scene, the episode 2 ends! And that's how the last episode of the revival ends, but instead of being Luke thinking about seeing Lorelai, it was Jess looking at Rory. - Rory gets pregnant when she's 32 (yes, older than her mum), but still not being the person she wants to be or thought she would be at that age. And she gets accidentally pregnant from a man who had consistently attempted to manipulate her emotionally, socially, and financially. Also being "the perfect boyfriend" in the eyes of her grandparents, who just think about money and are very classist...just like Christopher was for Lorelai
This made me so happy 🥹 and honestly highlights something I’ve always thought ~ Luke and Jess turned out to be the glue that held everything together and they’re kinda the heroes of the story in the end, so this is just so happy to think about coz it hurt like heck when these two weren’t made endgame 😆
The ideal is the full circle ending where Rory raises Logan's child with Jess. This is the original intent from the writers. I wish for Jess's sake that he can just move on and find someone who appreciates him. I feel like Rory struggled to see the good in him once they started dating. It was an important relationship for both of them though. Rory needed to find a strength that she wouldn't find while she was with angry, and jealous Dean. It seemed to be Jess's first love. He needed to find the motivation to change.

Ugh, I was so invested in this couple when I was younger. I think Jess was the right person for Rory. It was just bad timing. They had a great connection but clearly other circumstances were pulling them apart. They weren’t going in the same direction and Jess was facing lots of challenges at the time. They were also so young and immature lol. I’d like to think they eventually made their way back to each other romantically.

I see now, after so many years, that Jess is actually my husband! We met when I was realy young and went tru so many episodes the forst years. Now we have been married for 30 years and are experiencing the best love between us. Greatful ❤️
Rory Gilmore: the girl who could have had a happy, romantic, fulfilling, adventurous family life with Jess but was tempted by extravagance and self-importance to end up as a washed up, bitter feminist.
Haven’t watched the show completely so y’all can sue me if I’m wrong (but please don’t). But it seems like they needed time to work on themselves before being a thing. Especially given how they thought trying to make the other person jealous was ok, or how Jess pushed her for intimacy. Dean (even if he had his faults) protected her post relationship and I really admire that about him. Rory shouldn’t have had to go to another guy to cry about that; Jess should have been thinking of her comfort too. That having been said, I think the writers screwed with Rory’s character too much for them to ever be a thing even when Jess was improved because they thought bringing her down to a bad level was ok when realistically it changed who Rory was always supposed to be which was the generally more level headed one.
Honestly the writers made a big mistake having them break up. They were amazing together and I just can't grow to love the fact that she ended up with Logan after him. Like Jess was such a good guy to her.
Dean was the worst for her, he wanted to hold her back from going to chilton and Harvard. He didn’t treat her right in my eyes just by the way he was so jealous of everything. Jess pushed her to go to Harvard and then Yale. Yes he may have been wrong with a few things but to me he was guarding his heart so he wouldn’t get hurt after all he went through with his mum and dad Logan was great for her as he pushed her too and saw her as his equal and wanted what was best for her he never told her she couldn’t do something. Personally I loved her with Logan but I feel she had more of a connection with Jess
Exactly. At one point in time, Rory was too good for Jess, but in another point in time Jess was too god for Rory. They just never got the time right where they were good enough for each other.
People keep saying that Jess is Rory's Luke, but Rory isn't Lorelai. They are very similar in many ways, but Lorelai was fiercely independent and driven to escape the life she was born into. Rory adored the life she was born into, and adored being adored. She even says as much to Jess, and how that's a part of her that's not going to change, even though he is much more practical and grounded (like Luke) and isn't investing in a life where he could really dote on the person he's with. I think Jess is Rory's lover and maybe even a muse, and both of them lift each other up and support each other in being who they are supposed to be as a person. But not as a couple. I think if Rory didn't have a relationship with her wealthy grandparents, she might have ended up with someone like Dean. But she did have that relationship, and it was never a prison for her the way it was for Lorelai, and so she was much more comfortable entering into a wealthy scene in life, and was able to find herself in that space (which was arguably Dean's reason for leaving her). Rory adored Logan, despite his many flaws, and tolerated behavior from him that Lorelai would have never tolerated in her relationships. I think Jess will be Rory's almost-endgame, but she'll end up with Logan, and become the next generation's version of Richard and Emily. Lorelai nearly ended up with Chris, the father of her child, but then ended up with Luke, the love of her life. I think Rory will have a similar but slightly different trajectory - she'll nearly end up with Jess, her lover, but ultimately end up with Logan, the father of her child.
Everyone is saying they are soulmates and Rory treated him like trash but Jess wasn’t perfect either. He literally left her when she actually loved him but he decided to just up and leave because he had to many problems and he knew he couldn’t be there for her so when he came back and finally told her I love you she had lost that feeling her heart had already broke she knew she couldn’t count on him she was starting an amazing college and had worked so hard to get there. She couldn’t leave she didn’t have a choice.she had lost that love for Jess and had moved on and she had to think of her mom her life she grew up in stars hollow she could never just move away it’s not who she is. Jess couldn’t change when she needed him too and she couldn’t change when he needed her to so even though one person was in love doesn’t mean they both were.
Tbh Jess was the best boyfriend out of all of them. Dean got too clingy and jealous and Logan was a cheater. Jess didn't have any bad qualities or actions other than having a bad childhood. Jess seemed to always love Rory over anything and everything.It was just bad timing because she had her future ahead of her and Jess seems to not know his path. But Jess truly loved Rory despite Rory being with Dean or Jess. I feel like they shouldn't have written in Logan cuz I hated his character and Dean was meant to always be her first boyfriend. I am about to leave a quite long comment here, so please take your time, if you would like, to read it all. Please excuse my grammar mistakes as English is not my native language. I just finished watching Gilmore Girls series ( started it in September 2023) + a Year in the life. A wonderful series it was which became a part of my life, it's more like comfort series ( as people are describing it). So, to get to my point. In life, we fall in love three times. The first time you meet the guy who makes everything all nice and pink, he is sweet, intelligent and jealous at little silly things, basically he would to anything for you. That is Dean, the first love of Rory! I know they got back together again at a certain point but it was mostly because the nostalgia they both felt...anyway, things did not work out. The second time, you fall in love with the "bad guy", which acts super in love with you, however, comes and suddenly dissapears from your life. He is smart, sexy, misteryous, Does not know how to communicate but deep down in his heart, he loves you, however is toxic for you. There are many lessons to be learnt from this second love. That was Jess, however I do not think Rory loved him, he liked him a lot, but did not love him. And then, the third time you fall in love , you know it's all right. It feels right. You already gained experience from the past relationships and you know what is right or wrong for you. Logan was a smart guy,, sweet, very mature I would say and protective of Rory. He was supportive of her in every single way and he was THERE. That is so important. They were soul mates. Their relationship was not perfect because there is not such a thing as a perfect relationship, but he was good for her, so good. Too bad the writer messed up everything in the revival. You can tell they love each other immensially, but the timing was not on point. Hopefully we will get a continuity of their story and the writers will make us all happy :) . Everything I written happened to me in real life, it's all true. You know the saying, "third time's a charm". This made me so happy 🥹 and honestly highlights something I’ve always thought ~ Luke and Jess turned out to be the glue that held everything together and they’re kinda the heroes of the story in the end, so this is just so happy to think about coz it hurt like heck when these two weren’t made endgame 😆

I wish for Jess's sake that he can just move on and find someone who appreciates him. I feel like Rory struggled to see the good in him once they started dating. It was an important relationship for both of them though. Rory needed to find a strength that she wouldn't find while she was with angry, and jealous Dean. It seemed to be Jess's first love. He needed to find the motivation to change.

Ugh, I was so invested in this couple when I was younger.
I think Jess was the right person for Rory. It was just bad timing. They had a great connection but clearly other circumstances were pulling them apart. They weren’t going in the same direction and Jess was facing lots of challenges at the time. They were also so young and immature lol.
I’d like to think they eventually made their way back to each other romantically.

Jess always deserved Rory. Logan seemed to always treat Rory like shit and he never really took care of her that much. Logan was only likeable to people because he was super rich and got along with her grandparents but idk I felt like his character was unnecessary. Jess loved her 100 percent. Haven’t watched the show completely so y’all can sue me if I’m wrong (but please don’t). But it seems like they needed time to work on themselves before being a thing. Especially given how they thought trying to make the other person jealous was ok, or how Jess pushed her for intimacy. Dean (even if he had his faults) protected her post relationship and I really admire that about him. Rory shouldn’t have had to go to another guy to cry about that; Jess should have been thinking of her comfort too. That having been said, I think the writers screwed with Rory’s character too much for them to ever be a thing even when Jess was improved because they thought bringing her down to a bad level was ok when realistically it changed who Rory was always supposed to be which was the generally more level headed one.

Honestly the writers made a big mistake having them break up. They were amazing together and I just can't grow to love the fact that she ended up with Logan after him. Like Jess was such a good guy to her.

Dean was the worst for her, he wanted to hold her back from going to chilton and Harvard. He didn’t treat her right in my eyes just by the way he was so jealous of everything.
Jess pushed her to go to Harvard and then Yale. Yes he may have been wrong with a few things but to me he was guarding his heart so he wouldn’t get hurt after all he went through with his mum and dad

People keep saying that Jess is Rory's Luke, but Rory isn't Lorelai. They are very similar in many ways, but Lorelai was fiercely independent and driven to escape the life she was born into. Rory adored the life she was born into, and adored being adored. She even says as much to Jess, and how that's a part of her that's not going to change, even though he is much more practical and grounded (like Luke) and isn't investing in a life where he could really dote on the person he's with. I think Jess is Rory's lover and maybe even a muse, and both of them lift each other up and support each other in being who they are supposed to be as a person. But not as a couple. I think if Rory didn't have a relationship with her wealthy grandparents, she might have ended up with someone like Dean. But she did have that relationship, and it was never a prison for her the way it was for Lorelai, and so she was much more comfortable entering into a wealthy scene in life, and was able to find herself in that space (which was arguably Dean's reason for leaving her). Rory adored Logan, despite his many flaws, and tolerated behavior from him that Lorelai would have never tolerated in her relationships. I think Jess will be Rory's almost-endgame, but she'll end up with Logan, and become the next generation's version of Richard and Emily. Lorelai nearly ended up with Chris, the father of her child, but then ended up with Luke, the love of her life. I think Rory will have a similar but slightly different trajectory - she'll nearly end up with Jess, her lover, but ultimately end up with Logan, the father of her child.
Everyone is saying they are soulmates and Rory treated him like trash but Jess wasn’t perfect either. He literally left her when she actually loved him but he decided to just up and leave because he had to many problems and he knew he couldn’t be there for her so when he came back and finally told her I love you she had lost that feeling her heart had already broke she knew she couldn’t count on him she was starting an amazing college and had worked so hard to get there. She couldn’t leave she didn’t have a choice.she had lost that love for Jess and had moved on and she had to think of her mom her life she grew up in stars hollow she could never just move away it’s not who she is. Jess couldn’t change when she needed him too and she couldn’t change when he needed her to so even though one person was in love doesn’t mean they both were.
Tbh Jess was the best boyfriend out of all of them. Dean got too clingy and jealous and Logan was a cheater. Jess didn't have any bad qualities or actions other than having a bad childhood. Jess seemed to always love Rory over anything and everything.It was just bad timing because she had her future ahead of her and Jess seems to not know his path. But Jess truly loved Rory despite Rory being with Dean or Jess. I feel like they shouldn't have written in Logan cuz I hated his character and Dean was meant to always be her first boyfriend. Jess seemed to always just show Rory how to have fun and how to live life. I feel like Jess would have given a better life for Rory than Dean or Logan can't.

I just finished watching Gilmore Girls series ( started it in September 2023) + a Year in the life. A wonderful series it was which became a part of my life, it's more like comfort series ( as people are describing it).
So, to get to my point. In life, we fall in love three times.
The first time you meet the guy who makes everything all nice and pink, he is sweet, intelligent and jealous at little silly things, basically he would to anything for you. That is Dean, the first love of Rory! I know they got back together again at a certain point but it was mostly because the nostalgia they both felt...anyway, things did not work out.
The second time, you fall in love with the "bad guy", which acts super in love with you, however, comes and suddenly dissapears from your life. He is smart, sexy, misteryous, Does not know how to communicate but deep down in his heart, he loves you, however is toxic for you. There are many lessons to be learnt from this second love. That was Jess, however I do not think Rory loved him, he liked him a lot, but did not love him.
And then, the third time you fall in love , you know it's all right. It feels right. You already gained experience from the past relationships and you know what is right or wrong for you. Logan was a smart guy,, sweet, very mature I would say and protective of Rory. He was supportive of her in every single way and he was THERE. That is so important. They were soul mates. Their relationship was not perfect because there is not such a thing as a perfect relationship, but he was good for her, so good. Too bad the writer messed up everything in the revival. You can tell they love each other immensially, but the timing was not on point. Hopefully we will get a continuity of their story and the writers will make us all happy :) .
Everything I written happened to me in real life, it's all true. You know the saying, "third time's a charm". I am getting married this year with the love of my life. :)
