Awesome vid I was just creating my workout schedule for the school year and yours makes it look like trash. Thanks for helping me up my game
Since i have a trainer sunday-thursday i do a lot of ball handling drills on friday since i usually only do 5 minutes worth of those in my training sessions, and finishing saturday
is there a possibility you could make like a sample schedule on a notes app ?
Hey Keith how long should my basketball workouts take
Can I make it to semi pro? I’m 6’0 junior going to senior and I got two years of varsity experience
Do you think I’m gonna make it I’m a 5’6 sophomore
You can make it. You just have to work smart, hard and be consistent. Discipline is the key. Discipline keeps you going when motivation has worn off. You got this. Go for it with everything you have inside of you. You are a special kind of beast. No one has seen it yet but it is inside of you. Release it. On everyone. Beast do not fear anything or anyone!!!
You can
You can .if you believe you can then definitely you will make. It but it will take more hardwork then the taller player
My brother is 5’5, and he was invited on the national team and to a D1 team when he was a sophomore. If he didn’t quit (wasn’t his passion) I’m sure he would have gotten even further. You got this king
if you believe and put in steady hard work then yes you can
Bro i don’t think I have anytime to workout I have to wake up at 5 just to get on my bus at 6 I got to a school one hour away across the city I get home at 5 and I still feel tired if I go to sleep at 9:30
Can you recommend some upper and lower body workout
9-4 majority of school days, but Wednesday is a half day.
Yeo bro i copped ur all around plan though the plan doesnt have strength workouts it only has vert programs.
Is this for off season or inseason
And can i just keep this schedule while off and in season
Do you think im gonna make it, I'm a 8th grade 5,9 guard.
Yeah if u lock in
@keithpoitierperformance is there a specific time for how long you workout and how do you determine the intensity
I really like this video but my situation is I'm in xc for condition I did it last years and it really help out in terms of stamina and all that but I can't get any skill work in bc the gym in our school isn't open until October for open gym obviously I don't wanna wait until then I thought about quitting xc but I'm already deep in it *pause* and it's really helping with my stamina and endurance we have open gym for xc runner once in a while but ik that's not gonna cut it and I gotta do more
I got the Strength part I'm do weight lifting
What about if you play another sport. In my case football.
I would focus on football. Maybe go 1-2 days of skill refreshers a week
What do you mean by heavy skills training and normal skills training?
The intensity
i wish i could bro
What do you recommend to do for school team workouts? I have team workouts Monday through Thursday
If you have school team workouts, use that as your skills or weight lifting session. Do over due it with your body. But if you don’t feel you’re getting enough out of the team training, do 10-20 minutes a day of whatever it is you feel your missing
I am a middle schooler 15 years old, should I stop going to like after school study activities? in korea this activities are kinda like essential to get good grades
Nope i would stick with the studying. Just try to work around it if possible
How do I make sure I’m not sore all the time with all these workouts
stretch daily just find random 10-15 minute vids on yt
Video for tryouts??
I’ll make one this week!
Guys im 5,8 at 13 is it enough ?
is there a possibility to get both in after school?
Yes, if that works better for you, go for it
Will it work if I only have dumbbells cuz I can’t go to a gym rn
Can get significant work done with just you body weight if you have the right workouts
Awesome I’m 6.1 at 13 years train 5-6 hours a day. Do you think I can make it to the nba?
Where should I incorporate my cardio
my school ends at 6pm
What
good video man. Could you ask me a question? I was thinking of fitting plyos into my routine, how do you think it would be a good fit?
Monday: Upper Body
Tuesday: Lower Body
Wednesday: Mobility and shooting session
Thursday: Upper Body
Friday: Lower Body
Saturday: Rest
Sunday: Mobility and shooting session
On upper body days in basketball training I do a more resistance oriented workout, sprints and trampoline, and on lower body days I focus more on skills, dribbling, shooting
Where do you recommend putting the plyos?
Plyos into ur lower body days
So what basketball workouts should I do before school and after Monday - Friday ?
what is the difference between light plyos and plyo focus, and light legs and heavy legs
I am 6'1 and 15 years old sadly Ion think I am getting any taller
Helped so much
Love the videos, big fan
i appreciate you showing love!
What should I do if I can’t get to a court everyday
You can pretty much do everything but shooting because all you need is flat hard ground
great video !
thank you bro
Can somebody who has tried this for a while now confirm that this schedule truly helps you improve better and faster rather than other schedules?
gotta try it out for your self, no such thing as a schedule that works the same for everybody 🤷🏽♂️
I haven't tried it, as I'm actually a trainer and not playing basketball lol, but this seems to overwork imo. If you're doing weighted training 4 days during the week, I see little reason to add bodyweight workouts before school and plyo after everyday. This seems like an offseason schedule, and I think it'd be better to replace Tuesday or thursday with being plyo and skill.
