    Dont forget to train your upper back (wide rows etc) to counteract your pushing and shooting volume.

    • @takemeserious6772
      @takemeserious6772 4 місяці тому +1

      Can you explain more what does this mean?

    • @k4s461
      @k4s461 4 місяці тому +3

      @@takemeserious6772 in Basketball you do a tousands of forward motions while shooting and dribbeling. These motions require your shoulders to rotate inwards and your back to round to a certain degree. To maintain a good posture and avoid injuries over time you have to train the muscles which do the opposite: retract the shoulderblades and rotate the shoulder outwards. Namely, the lower and middle traps, rhomboids, infraspinatus and the rotator cuff. This is especially important when you do exercises like bench press in the weight room that reinforce the imbalance between pushing and pulling movements even more than only playing basketball.

    • @takemeserious6772
      @takemeserious6772 4 місяці тому

      @@k4s461 wow makes alot of sense, sometimes I believe this is why I was such a good shooter b4 I started lifting because I was hunched over due to muscle imbalance , I recently started going to the gym this year my pulling is stronger than my push but I feel as if that is normal

    Im older than you now, but been hooping a long time. Im 35 now, also type 1 diabetic. Alot of indoor hooping and even more outdoor through my years. I work out 5 days a week and hoop like 5 days too with the weekends just being hooping. Work out M-F w/ hooping on M,W, F. I have a lot of ankle rolls through the years and lately experience a lot of jumper knee issues along with hip tightness for sure. Also, think i had a slight pull of the inner thigh muscle or groin pull. I was wondering if I could pair the lower workouts through the week with their own day and just do lower or is it better to do some of that with a push day like you did?

    2 things. If you can’t kick off the shoes and hit RDLs, not sure I can take this seriously anymore. 2, more importantly for you as an athlete, but as stated, Im not taking this seriously anymore… knee CARs are a waste of time and energy relative to open chain and closed chain knee circles.
