- Again I didn't get to finish this song properly. I had to leave and when I came back the program acted like it was sabotaged! I did save the last session I had and I'm posting that cause I do not want to go back and redo the whole thing after 6 hours of work. It's 98% good with a few minor things that needed to be tweaked. I was careful not to over do the drums but step up the percussion just a bit. Hope you Monkee fans like it.

Nice work on this classic song that Davy is most remembered for. I sure miss him, Peter and Mike and may they rest in peace. Glad I had the REAL pleasure of meeting Davy and Peter who were really friendly. I have been a Monkees fan from the beginning and will always LOVE their show and music and the endless memories they gave all of us to forever cherish.
Thank you for all you do preserving the Monkees legacy. Giants that rose to stardom in a very short time. Now to get them into the rock and roll hall of fame where they rightfully belong. Nicely done.

OMG, I can't believe this! I didn't think this song could get any better, but I was WRONG! It sounds so clean, and everything is so much more distinct! It was a major treat to listen to it, and I did hear your voice too. This one brought tears to my eyes, as Davy was so special to me, and you sure did him justice with this one! Thank you, Kenn!

There is no other song that stands out to me as a Davy song but ''Daydream Believer'' a classic and you my friend have kicked it up a notch better than ever !! I loved Davy he was one of my favs and when i listen to this song it always chokes me up as I picture him dancing and shuffling away from the screen singing ''Daydream Believer'' !! RIP Davy !! Yeah, thats amazing how some "old men" in 60s are still here 60 years later. Lou Adler, the mastermind of Mamas and Papas is still with us. Its certainly good to see how his pop hits are classics now so many years later.

What a great update,back in '86 when they reissued this as a single,they tidied the mix up a bit,the drums being a bit more prominent,but this does the song justice,good work

Excellent work! True to the original, you kept the chatter at the beginning. I guess the alarm sound effect at 0.30 that I remember from the original has been lost in the subsequent masters. RIP Mike Nesmith, Davy Jones and Peter Tork.

Growing up, I wasn't a fan of The Monkees. I preferred the harder rock like Grand Funk Railroad, Deep Purple, The Rolling Stones; but "Daydream Believer" was one of my favorites. When it played on the radio, I always found myself lip-syncing and bopping to the song. This "enhanced" version is the absolute best because it got me lip-syncing and bopping again.

Is it possible to have the New Enhanced Version playing with the original video?
Sure but it would be tricky! You have to adjust either the frame rate of the video or the change the speed adjust of the audio so there is no " offset" and it matches. I could do it but I have enough work as it is!
The piano should stand out more than the other parts as it’s very weak in this but otherwise sounds great.

i had the 45 when i was growing up, and even on the 45 in the beginning while Davy is talking, you hear voices in the background just before the music starts... to me it sounds like some dude says, 'Fuck You' ...... listen to it closely, tell me what you think.
