This is a personal matter and personal decisions only. People have every right to take their decisions. Different types of such old age home run by Catholic denominations and other organization. In my view monthly minimum Rs. 1 lakhs is required per person For a family, it will go more. So keep Rs. 2 laks for monthly expenses. Initial payments etc may be Rs. 30 to Rs. 40 lakhs minimum. Monthly maintenance charges is required. TV, Telephone, current charges, Electric charges, panchayat and Muncipality charges, water bill etc is additional. Then medical charges, transportation charges etc is extra. Every thing is ok. But money. Keep Rs. 2 lakhs per month total expenses. This is my calculation only. I bought a flat in Kottayam Town for old age living. My experience. If good money. Then it is ok. Do not jump without Money. This family get Social security and pension from USA.

My friend work in age care here as nurse . He said old people have here all types of deceases including dementia but they almost eat everything and take 20 tablets a day and live 100 years . They get Best food in the world I think

Monthly fees is not affordable to needy people . Food option they should consider , that is a small kitchen they should provide in their flat . Some times if we are not ok that time they should give option to get food from there , Thst time they should take money . Thst they should consider .
