This video is more useful than some of them because it reveals the good, the bad and the ugly. Which is much better for the possible customer. A performer can get a pretty good idea from this video of whether the instrument is right for him/her. Surprised at the musicality of the Wurly on the almost "Lean On Me" part. This is the only CP88 video that I have bookmarked.
Recently purchased and sent my CP88 back. There was very noticeable keybed noise on every note while playing all piano samplings (even though the piano sounds were excellent). And the Ab above the octave plinked in stead of resonating. Musicians Friend took it back right away but, all in all a bad experience. Yamaha's has developed a slap together factory mentality and to save money really low balled the Keybed. Cheap aluminum frame as well. There are many great features on it but the above mentioned issue's were a deal breaker.
Very nice playing, Ben! There are a lot of nice sounds in those live sets. I love how Yamaha (and Nord for that matter) puts the controls right there on the board, rather than in a nested menu or editor.
Better is subjective, but Yamaha addressed 99% of what I wanted to see on the CP4, with the changes that resulted in the CP88. I have no reservations whatsoever recommending the CP88. It is also a much more robust board than the CP4.
Great question! Personally, I would go with the CP88 for action. It is extremely responsive and very fast... and of these three, feels most like a real piano.
I have another video coming that is a play through of all the individual sounds, not just the live sets. If the power stays on here, I’ll make that one and upload it today!
Depends. What are you looking for specifically in a keyboard? Which sounds are most important to you? Are you using it at home mainly, or also gigging/church/other venue?

Thanks, Paul! I agree with you. Yamaha, and Nord (whom Yamaha clearly was...*inspired by*) do it right for sure.
