@D. Bnonn Tennant Thank you so very much, brother. I'm learning more and more from you and Michael every day. I'm truly indebted to you guys and the work you are doing.
“God created adam (human) in His own image, in the image of God He created him, male AND female He created them” Your exegesis is strictly based on the curse that comes afterward, but the original intention of God at the creation was for man and woman to be perfect equals.
@@PoliteLeader The Bible is very clear in it's teaching of a plurality of males Elders + Deacons being the spiritual and administrative heads of local churches. What I want to know is how you extend complementarianism to society. If a woman is working in an organisation, naturally, at some point in her career, she will end up leading men or does this apply only to political leadership.
Miriam was a prophetess who served the Lord (Exodus 15:20). Huldah a prophetess (2 kings 22:14), Isaiah's wife was a prophetess (Isaiah 8:3) and lets not forget Deborah a prophetess and judge (Judges 4:4). Read the whole chapter. Furthermore, the Bible says that after Jesus preached the gospel to the woman at the well, she went into her city and preached to the men of her city (John 4:28:30). Man is a respect of persons GOD is not. Men are always trying to put GOD in a box and it will never work. If GOD can use an ass to speak his word (Numbers 22:28), why not a woman. GOD does call women to preach, is a matter of fact every believer should be a preacher of the gospel.
rose pitt A prophet is very different than a pastor. A prophet tells the people an unchanged word of God, it has nothing to do with teaching as it is merely the position of a messenger. That’s not to say that it isn’t important, it just can’t be compared to preaching, which is to present Gods word in a way as to teach the congregation so they can fully understand it. As far preaching the Gospel in John 4:28-30, she doesn’t go back and preach at all, it says she goes back and tells the people to follow her to a man who she thinks is the messiah. She isn’t in a church not is she teaching the word of God, she is evangelizing, which is something God calls women to do, unlike preaching, which God strictly prohibits in Paul’s teachings. As far as Deborah, Deborah was put into a position of power, if you read the whole story, as a punishment to the Jewish men, as if to say that they are such lousy men that a woman has to lead them. It is an exception that proves that women shouldn’t lead bc God only called her there due to every other Jewish man being incapable of leading, BUT even then, she did not lead the men into war, she instead appoint another man to do that because even that was too far of a leadership position for her
I couldn’t AGREE with you more and Im a woman! I was involved with charismatic churches for 20 years and they always allowed woman to speak and teach and be pastors. Most of these women took the lead in their marriages and in their faith while the men followed. Sad. Now that Im in the word and not charismatic anymore, I understand how wrong & damaging it is for women to be dominant over men in the church. Its even nauseating to see. I’d love to see more men take their God given place/role and lead the way! 📖👍🏼
I FULLY DISAGREE with both of you and I am a man. Please may the two of your explain the following verse.1 Corinthians 11: 5 But every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head, for that is one and the same as if her head were shaved. " Are you saying these women must be silent while Paul says they must cover their heads when they give the word of prophecy. Going back to your anchor chapter 1 Corinthians 14:26 How is it then, brethren? Whenever you come together, each of you has a psalm, has a teaching, has a tongue, has a revelation, has an interpretation. Let all things be done for edification." Are both saying women will never be in the position to edify the church.
Ntshabele Pooe Not to mention how pivotal how influential women were in helping Paul establish many of the gentile churches across the places he visited. So influential that he mentions them by name and gives critiques of their performances more than a few times. But aside from all of this, “God created adam (human), in the image of God He created him, male AND female He created them.” the exegetical view here only takes into account the curse. Hence the exegesis is under the same curse. But the true intention of the Creator was for male and female to be co-equals and rule the earth together.
Ntshabele Pooe I don't agree but I do appreciate your thoughts on the matter. I believe women can minister (which merely means to serve in Koine Greek) in many capacities, just not as a pastor (presbuteroi) in the context of church as Paul was speaking. There are many circumstances where a woman can pray/prophecy that doesn't include the church service context of which Paul was speaking. I could be wrong, but I will err on the side of my conscience on this as in all matters. I do not see this as a salvific issue, but I do think it's curious how the churches with female leaders most often stray from Gods word in other areas.
@@exeshesis751 Listen to the video again - emphasis is being placed on women being silent in church. Thus my quote of verses were women are inspired by the Holy Spirit to speak. I mention what came from the scriptures written by Paul - stating how women my cover their heads when giving a word of prophecy. I also asked about women having a psalm to share, what are they expected to do? Paul in those cases in 1 Corinthians 11 and 14 does not silence women. Engage me on those scriptures which do not need and Greek language, I can engage on leadership issue but now the focus was on women being silent in church as the author of the video was motivating.
Remember, Philip’s daughters were prophetesses, which one could argue is greater than the office of a pastor. But I still think that if a women is to preach, prophesy or exercise a gift, it must be done under the leadership of a MAN.
I just can’t understand why Christians have such a hard time with this subject. Thank you bother Alan for your clear explanation! God bless you brother!
I have because people are misrepresenting the scriptures and above all, they want the Holy Spirit to hear from them on how and to whom must the gifts of the Spirit given.
I understand why. It's because most churches now take their lead from societal norms, rather than scriptural teaching. This is likely for 2 reasons: one is that they get less grief and fight-back (which no one enjoys) and the other is a misguided attempt to be more "popular" and win people over. IMO
Question: "What does the Bible say about women pastors?" Answer: There is perhaps no more hotly debated issue in the church today than the issue of women serving as pastors. As a result, it is very important to not see this issue as men versus women. There are women who believe women should not serve as pastors and that the Bible places restrictions on the ministry of women, and there are men who believe women can serve as pastors and that there are no restrictions on women in ministry. This is not an issue of chauvinism or discrimination. It is an issue of biblical interpretation. The Word of God proclaims, “A woman should learn in quietness and full submission. I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she must be silent” (1 Timothy 2:11-12). In the church, God assigns different roles to men and women. This is a result of the way mankind was created and the way in which sin entered the world (1 Timothy 2:13-14). God, through the apostle Paul, restricts women from serving in roles of teaching and/or having spiritual authority over men. This precludes women from serving as pastors over men, which definitely includes preaching to them, teaching them publicly, and exercising spiritual authority over them. There are many objections to this view of women in pastoral ministry. A common one is that Paul restricts women from teaching because in the first century, women were typically uneducated. However, 1 Timothy 2:11-14 nowhere mentions educational status. If education were a qualification for ministry, then the majority of Jesus’ disciples would not have been qualified. A second common objection is that Paul only restricted the women of Ephesus from teaching men (1 Timothy was written to Timothy, the pastor of the church in Ephesus). Ephesus was known for its temple to Artemis, and women were the authorities in that branch of paganism-therefore, the theory goes, Paul was only reacting against the female-led customs of the Ephesian idolaters, and the church needed to be different. However, the book of 1 Timothy nowhere mentions Artemis, nor does Paul mention the standard practice of Artemis worshipers as a reason for the restrictions in 1 Timothy 2:11-12. A third objection is that Paul is only referring to husbands and wives, not men and women in general. The Greek words for “woman” and “man” in 1 Timothy 2 could refer to husbands and wives; however, the basic meaning of the words is broader than that. Further, the same Greek words are used in verses 8-10. Are only husbands to lift up holy hands in prayer without anger and disputing (verse 8)? Are only wives to dress modestly, have good deeds, and worship God (verses 9-10)? Of course not. Verses 8-10 clearly refer to all men and women, not just husbands and wives. There is nothing in the context that would indicate a narrowing to husbands and wives in verses 11-14. Yet another objection to this interpretation of women in pastoral ministry is in relation to women who held positions of leadership in the Bible, specifically Miriam, Deborah, and Huldah in the Old Testament. It is true that these women were chosen by God for special service to Him and that they stand as models of faith, courage, and, yes, leadership. However, the authority of women in the Old Testament is not relevant to the issue of pastors in the church. The New Testament Epistles present a new paradigm for God’s people-the church, the body of Christ-and that paradigm involves an authority structure unique to the church, not for the nation of Israel or any other Old Testament entity. Similar arguments are made using Priscilla and Phoebe in the New Testament. In Acts 18, Priscilla and Aquila are presented as faithful ministers for Christ. Priscilla’s name is mentioned first, perhaps indicating that she was more prominent in ministry than her husband. Did Priscilla and her husband teach the gospel of Jesus Christ to Apollos? Yes, in their home they “explained to him the way of God more adequately” (Acts 18:26). Does the Bible ever say that Priscilla pastored a church or taught publicly or became the spiritual leader of a congregation of saints? No. As far as we know, Priscilla was not involved in ministry activity in contradiction to 1 Timothy 2:11-14. In Romans 16:1, Phoebe is called a “deacon” (or “servant”) in the church and is highly commended by Paul. But, as with Priscilla, there is nothing in Scripture to indicate that Phoebe was a pastor or a teacher of men in the church. “Able to teach” is given as a qualification for elders, but not for deacons (1 Timothy 3:1-13; Titus 1:6-9). The structure of 1 Timothy 2:11-14 makes the reason why women cannot be pastors perfectly clear. Verse 13 begins with “for,” giving the “cause” of Paul’s statement in verses 11-12. Why should women not teach or have authority over men? Because “Adam was created first, then Eve. And Adam was not the one deceived; it was the woman who was deceived” (verses 13-14). God created Adam first and then created Eve to be a “helper” for Adam. The order of creation has universal application in the family (Ephesians 5:22-33) and in the church. The fact that Eve was deceived is also given in 1 Timothy 2:14 as a reason for women not serving as pastors or having spiritual authority over men. This does not mean that women are gullible or that they are all more easily deceived than men. If all women are more easily deceived, why would they be allowed to teach children (who are easily deceived) and other women (who are supposedly more easily deceived)? The text simply says that women are not to teach men or have spiritual authority over men because Eve was deceived. God has chosen to give men the primary teaching authority in the church. Many women excel in gifts of hospitality, mercy, teaching, evangelism, and helping/serving. Much of the ministry of the local church depends on women. Women in the church are not restricted from public praying or prophesying (1 Corinthians 11:5), only from having spiritual teaching authority over men. The Bible nowhere restricts women from exercising the gifts of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 12). Women, just as much as men, are called to minister to others, to demonstrate the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23), and to proclaim the gospel to the lost (Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:8; 1 Peter 3:15). God has ordained that only men are to serve in positions of spiritual teaching authority in the church. This is not because men are necessarily better teachers or because women are inferior or less intelligent (which is not the case). It is simply the way God designed the church to function. Men are to set the example in spiritual leadership-in their lives and through their words. Women are to take a less authoritative role. Women are encouraged to teach other women (Titus 2:3-5). The Bible also does not restrict women from teaching children. The only activity women are restricted from is teaching or having spiritual authority over men. This precludes women from serving as pastors to men. This does not make women less important, by any means, but rather gives them a ministry focus more in agreement with God’s plan and His gifting of them
Did u forget to read all of 1st Corinthians.? Wrote to brothers and sisters in Christ. And Paul said a woman could teach men. In context in chapter 14 A woman could have a teaching etc. And this is from God and is when all the church is together.
@Rachel Nichols Eve was taken out of Adams side. She was not taken from the ground. Equality. Differences of course. The Hebrew about being a help mate is about service to God. Chek out artices by CBE.
Its not about “CAN”, the question is “SHOULD”. Here’s an example. 1. Can Adam and Eve eat the Fruit of Knowledge of Evil and Good? - Yes they CAN -But, SHOULD they eat it? This is the issue of the Liberal mentality. Study the Fall of Man, before Eve ate the fruit, she had “Positive” views/ideas of eating it instead of asking herself if God said to or not and why.
I was a high school Bible teacher for a number of years. I would have the students debate this in class at least once a semester. I framed the question this way: “Is it permitted for women to be pastors?” I think that sets things up a little better...
In the question "can women be pastors?" the context of the word "can" is if it is okay, for example, Women cannot be pastors, in this true stament, the context of the word "cannot" means that women should not be preachers. Likewise, to the question "can women be pastors?" the answer is no, since women should not be pastors, and to the question "Can Christians celebrate Halloween?" the answer is also no, since Halloween is a pagan holiday, and Christians should not celebrate pagan holidays. In this context, the questions "Can Christians celebrate Halloween?" and "Should Christians celebrate Halloween?" are the exact same question, it doesn't matter if you use can or should as long as it's in the context listed above. Last but not least, to the question "Can Christians play videogames that won't harm their walk with God?" the answer is yes, since the Bible does not condemn non-violent videogames that won't harm your walk with God. We gotta stay away from the videogames that are virtual reality and videogames that can harm our walk with God.
@@kabous2285 When ppl say that Paul speaking to Timothy in context is rooting back to creation it isn’t. Watching in between classes❤️❤️, God said what he said. Women are to be submissive, and Men are to be leaders, I have seen first hand the disasters of people straying away, the family is a mess. For a female thank you ❤️❤️🌼God bless😁. God made Adam first then Eve. This does not mean women should, be abused or that their thoughts don’t matter. But men have a tough job as well, they have to make decisions, and things like that, that must be tough. The patriarchy always is God’s plan. God bless from a young tradition women ❤️
Orwitia Turkling I have sat under a female pastor and it was one mess after another. The men were all treated like her children and she was abusive to the wives. Never again. Thank you for your comment.
Yes, the role of women as wives, mothers and under the authority of their husbands has been demonized by the feminist movements and by women who think that they would have it better being a man rather than a woman. This is the perversion of Satan and his lies to women that they should rule and can rule better than any man could! So in turn women have abandoned their calling as ordained by God, bought into the satanic lie, and have established themselves as their own idol to be worshiped at the alter of "Equality".
Niko Raipale Yes!! We, women, often forget that men have to submit to the authority of God. If I get married I hope I find a man with that attitude. Though I am part of the younger Gen Z 😬
I really admire your bravery and spine for publishing this lesson Bro !! We fundamentalists get beat up on this one constantly by our current culture...BUT...God's Word is CLEAR and His will is TO BE DONE !! God has an order and has delineated requirements of the Church's leadership - NO COMPROMISE or DISOBEDIENCE is allowed simply because the culture demands it...weather this objection comes from unbelievers OR even professing Christians , we are to be FAITHFUL to His will and Word...end of discussion - for all time !! Thanks for standing firmly , but lovingly , for God's word my friend. God's best to you and yours !!
Another great video. Your channel has blessed me greatly in my Christian journey! (From “progressive” to work based to obedient) as a women I 1000% agree. Why do people find it hard to accept this?
I have a few friends, even family, that say, "Well, my aunt/cousin/sister etc is a preacher and she's just as good as some men." They're going to see this post with the hope they'll watch & listen. Good content as always, brother. Thank you for the effort you put into these, especially this one.
THANK YOU for this!! All people need to hear this. Women in leadership have done more damage to our churches and society than I can name. Yes, that's a broad brush and no, I don't care about your 'feelings' on the subject and neither do the facts. God bless.
Thank you for your take on this sir. The bible actually doesn't say women shouldn't be workers in church, we had prophetess in the old testament, and women can also teach other women etc Being a Pastor, Bishop etc should only be for men. All these so called female pastors is what is also causing the rise to feminism and chaos in the body of Christ and outside the church, and acceptance of things that the Word is clearly against. God bless you Bro.

Correct on women in the Bible being judges and prophetesses, but, these were the exception and not the rule. In some cases, it was done to shame man for not following God and in others it was just a one time allotment. However, these very few examples are not to be taken as a standard for other women to follow. The Bible is clear on this matter and those who ignore it are not following God, hence they are not of God.
@@timestealr2967 you saved me from all that. Again, I mentioned what women were appointed to do in the old testament, but as for positions of Pastors and Overseers and Bishops, it was clear that those were positions left to men. Look at the Apostles, only filled by men. Women can teach, teach children, teach other women, but as Christ is the head of the church, the man is the head of the house hold, meaning that the moment you make a wkman the head of the church of Christ, then you have indirectly said that the decision of Christ to appoint man next after him, is wrong. Please don't be entangled with feminist demands and outcry. There has always been and will.always be order on the house of the Lord. This doesn't mean that women are not appreciated or treasured, it is just the order The Lord has made it, and why do you want to change that?
When as a young girl, going to my grandmothers church (versus what I was used to, Catholic mass) even in my young teens I always felt something wasn't ..right when a female came to preach. It almost made me a little mad and I could not figure out or understand my feelings. As an adult I understand now. Nothing like a great sermon from true man of God to feed my soul.
Mark OnTheBlueRidge True, I have seen this with my two eyes, I see women at my church, who are leaders of the family, who are the breadwinner, who take the male role in the relationship, and then what ends up happening is the Children rebel against the faith, the marriage is ruined, and it is just a disaster😬😬
I spoke with someone about this recently who told me they don't take "women should be silent in churches" literally. This person said that back in those times that men and women did not sit next to each other in church services, and so the women would "yell across the church if they were confused about something the pastor said". And that apparently that's the WHOLE meaning behind that verse. 🙄 It's frustrating sometimes when people try to pick and choose what to believe, or when they twist the Word for their benefit. I highly doubt 1 Cor. 34-35 was in regards to women "yelling across the church to ask questions" This person is also believes women should be able to be pastors.
I will say while I agree with the presenter of this video, when I lived in Asia, they STILL had men and women sitting on opposite sides of the church, so I can see how they would have that view without malicious intent.
The scriptures are for all time and all of mankind, and God's word doesn't change, and God never changes. If we aren't to take anything in the Bible literally, then why bother reading it??!
Thank you Polite Leader! This was well said. The study of Male leadership has sparked me (as well from one of your other videos) to further study head coverings because I remember you mentioned that (along the lines of) for the first 1900 years of church history women were wearing head coverings, and if it was the popular movement of feminism that has impacted the churches’ idea today to no longer wear head coverings. It’s very important that true Christians really ask God to help us study His word and to remove our sinful and personal thoughts and biases’. I mean, I’m appalled by the number of Christians who have shoved Titus 2 down the drain and forget that God has called mothers + wives to be homemakers, and that their first priority is their family (apart from the Lord of course), and to be serving to their family. Egalitarians use the Proverbs 31 woman to prove that mums can “work”. But if you do a closer look you see that she puts her family above everything including her daily “work”, and her work involved being at home with her family such as making farmers from home and selling them. The only time she left her home really was to get food from afar to feed her children and husband, which indicates she fed her family with quality food and not junk. She takes care of her family and realises it’s her priority, her ministry, her role and high calling from God. She never abandoned her family for work, to have a career, to be a pastor, nor hold public office. I encourage women to read Dr John MacArthur’s book called “God’s high calling for women” and Lori Alexander’s book, “the power of a transformed wife”.
It's pretty sad how few Christian women wear a head covering. I don't think most of them think about it and if they ask someone, they're likely to hear it was a cultural thing. But, it's not the culture that Paul gives as a reason for women to wear head coverings. Feminism, rebellion against God's word, is why there are women pastors and why many women don't wear head coverings.
One of the issues here is not trusting God in the established order of things and how He in all of His wisdom properly designed the man and woman to be. Some women want the power, prestige and recognition that comes with leadership, but don't understand or see the hidden stress, turmoil, pain, uncertainty, physical demands, sleepless nights that goes along with it. As a leader or head of the home you are responsible for all that goes on with those whom you lead and such when taken seriously is a monumental task and an extremely heavy burden. Men were properly designed by God for such a role, but men are not able to be full, respectable, decent leaders of integrity WITHOUT women, hence they are helpers and contribute to successful leadership as a whole, otherwise God wouldve never created the woman. A woman uspuring her position that God has intended is no different then men trying to be a bird, flying in the sky or Satan a created being trying to be the Creator. It is no different then the age old temptation of man wanting to be god. Mankind is mankind and was designed by God for their roles and duties. Women were designed both anatomically and biologically for their purposes as men were also designed. When we try to cross roles despite our godly design, chaos and disorder ensues which will then make us the children of disobedience with the father of disobedience and the father of rebellion, Satan the devil. It was Lucifer who rejected his godly position and anyone that rejects their God given biological position is the same as him and become one of his many damned children.
Thank you for putting the truth is perspective. The truth is not about being popular. It's about guiding others with the simple truth of Scriptures. Thank you.
I’m not sure why people take offense, considering God is protecting women with this boundary.Pastors are subject to so much negative backlash,He lovingly puts men out ahead for our good.

Yes you are so right God absolutely uses women,Joel says he will pour out his spirit on all offspring, but here we are referring to within the confines of church government. That is all.
Remember, Philip’s daughters were prophetesses, which one could argue is greater than the office of a pastor. But I still think that if a women is to preach, prophesy or exercise a gift, it must be done under the leadership of a MAN.
The only reason this is a question in some 'churches' is because those are 'churches' where the world's narratives are granted attention that is equal to or even greater than God's Word. You're so right that Christians are to have an audience of One.

If you ignore chapter and verses which were added centuries later. If you ignore them then you get the context. Paul reminded the Corinthians of Gods creative order and it is because of the way we are created that God says, for it is not just Paul. It is God who says women should not teach or have authority over men in the church. All women pastors are decieved and decueving and it is always motivated by their own ambition.
“He (Jesus) said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” (Mark 16:15) Note it doesn’t say, ‘men go into all the world...’ nor does it say, ‘women go into all the world...’. THE GREAT COMMISSION IS NOT GENDER SPECIFIC.
Preaching is communicating the gospel, including every day conversations. Paul was not talking about that. He was talking about when the church meet, and church order, so of course women communicate the gospel. And what Paul wrote came to him through the Holy spirit so there is no distinction between what Paul wrote and what Jesus said. It all comes from Jesus. We should not pick and chose what parts of the bible to obey or ignore. It is all Gods revealed word.
George Falconer - do you not cut your hair then? (If you say we should obey the whole bible) Also you should know that Jesus and the Holy Spirit are a part of the trinity, are distinct, yet one. Hence, It doesn’t all come from Jesus. It all comes from God. Get your facts straight!!

rose pitt friend, preaching the gospel is not the same as teaching a congregation. The gospel is literally “hear the word and believe, Christ suffered death, was buried and rose again from the dead for your sins”. We are all charged with preaching the gospel. However only men can pastor churches. As per Gods instructions.
Need men that are strong and mature in Christ as leaders. Praying for my husband more than ever as he fights spiritual battle while being patient in explaining and asking questions that make me think and turn to God.
Amen! Up until 2 years ago, I had a desire to be a pastor! But when we met some friends who mentioned this, my husband and I studied the Word, listened to sermons FOR and AGAINST it. We finally received a REVELATION that only came by The Helper, Coubselor! I cannot believe that in my 10years of being born again I believed a lie! Why? Because I didn't know what the Word said about it! When we desire to know the Truth, the Spirit will reveal it to us! We who know the Truth must continue to correct each other in Love! Thanks pastor for stating the uncompromised Truth of the Almighty Lord God's Word! 🙌🏼🙏🏼
It took me a while to really engage with this, but I'm aboard now. The Patriarchal aspect of this is all over the OT, and God does not change. I used to stand by the Galatians 3:28 argument. It's used out of context in my opinion to justify women pastors..
I am a woman who at one time sat under a woman Pastor but I agree with you 100%. It wasn't until I left that church that I realize that the church was out of order. I realized that God would not command the order of MY own house and yet HIS house would have a different order. I have lost Christian girlfriends over this exact subject. They can not believe that I am saying that women can not do this as if I am anti women's liberation but scripture is not a man made law and it is not a "cultural fad" but the word of God.
Thank you my brother in Christ. I’m a 21 year old woman and I agree with you even though I live in a “progressive” world. It’s not becoming of a woman of God to preach because it is not showing submission to God. Who cares if a woman is a good speaker, she still should not preach. End of story. People should not play around with the word of God. I for one want every word of the Bible to be true because it is our saving Grace!!!!
This goes all the way back to Genesis. This is part of the curse by God, "Your desire shall be contrary to your husband, but he shall rule over you.” And yet, it will not always be like this, "For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven," "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus." Blessed and Glorious is or King who is merciful even with his cursing, that they are temporal until our resurrection in Christ.

@@rosepitt You are using a few examples as a standard. God didn't tell Paul to establish the role of women as pastors but instead told them to NOT be pastors or teachers of men! All that happened with women being used as a judge or a prophetess was BEFORE the establishment of the church (Pre-book of Acts) and now that the church has been established, there are rules in place to govern both men and women. Women are NOT called to preach or teach over men; if they are, then that would make God a liar since through the Holy Spirit, Paul was instructed to exclude women from holding this office in the church. Women are to teach other women in the church, not men. Like it or not, that's the God ordained rule. If you don't follow the rules then you are outside of scripture and not ordained by God.
According to the Bible, no, women cannot be pastors. I won't go to a church that has a woman pastor. If they are wrong on that, they are probably wrong on other things.

@@susanhermes3135 umm...... NO, prophet means one who prophesies and women can prophecy ! defence apologetics Yes, that’s exactly what I mean/found out. If a woman should preach or prophesy, it should be under the leadership of a man as the head of the Church.
Thank you for this explanation. I left a church a long time ago where one of the 'Elders' was a woman that preached more than the actual Pastor, and, by the way, her so-called preaching was horrendous! I tried to speak to her about what the Word of God says about women not being permitted to preach and she just shut me down. She kept on saying she had 'put out a fleece'. I tried to ask her why she had put out a fleece when the Word of God is so clear on this topic. I could hardly get a word in...she was adamant. Needless to say, I left! She is no longer there as things went a bit askew in that church, I hear. The Word of God is Truth, and is to be obeyed not shunned because we don't agree with what is says! I am a woman, and, believe me, God is very wise. He knows women better than we know ourselves, and we really must not assume the roles that God has clearly set for men!
It's the exact same thing. Jesus represents the Father Son and Spirit. His name in greek is Iesous it means logos. It's where we got the modern word Logo. Jesus represents all 3. If you have the son you have the father. Matthew 28 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: But after Jesus did his work revelaed himself messiah it became baptise in Jesus name: the Father Son and Holy Ghost all went to the Cross for us that day. Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. 1 John 2:23 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also. Ephesians 2:18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father. John 10:30 I and my Father are one.

Hi -👋 I completely support your views re: women pastors and have read the Bible myself and agree with the men/women leadership roles in church. However, I’m not behind your views about the society roles being by men only you were referred to at the end. The women in the Bible I can think of that were in leadership roles, Queen of Sheba? Judge Deborah? Proverbs 31 woman/wife, and I can’t remember her name, but Paul refers to some woman Lydia? that owned some sort of fabric business by the river he shared the Gospel with. So there are women leader roles in society in scriptures.. But I do completely agree with your stance on women pastors.

The verse falls in the new testament. The law was unable to be fulfilled by man and so Christ went to the cross because he was the only one who was blameless and could take the punishment for our sins. However, that doesn't negate God's original design for our lives: Husbands are the spiritual leader in the home, and the woman submits to Him. As usual my friend your commentary has clarified this truth. Here is my question, in the case where an unmarried woman who has questions, would her point of reference be another woman or an elder/ Reverend?
Good question! I'm interested in Alan's answer as well! :) I'll take a quick stab at it myself if you don't mind. I believe the answer can be either a qualified pastor or another women provided that she is engaging in Titus 2 training and teaching. Chapter 2 verse 3 says they (older women) are to teach (younger women) what is good. I think the assumption here is that this older woman is within the body of a healthy biblical church with qualified elders that have properly equipped and encouraged her in learning good doctrine so that she can serve to build up other young women to engage in verse 5. Hope that helps! I hope another commenter more wise that I am might come along and affirm this or correct this. :)

My most recent conversation with someone this came up and the culture of the Corinth church / society. I'm not formally taught in Scripture, but hopefully at a point I will be able to rectify this. When I heard this argument though my response was only that it was my stance that the primary roles of Church leadership (Pastor, Elder, Deacon) are meant only for males. A lot of trouble comes up when our church dichotomy has positions not expounded upon in the scripture but we classify them with the same name. Worship Pastor is an example. The position at an individual church may be music leader, worship leader, worship pastor, music director, or any other combination of words. When a church take on the practice of calling leadership roles 'pastors' and a female comes up to be a worship leader it becomes confusing. Looking at the Scripture as a whole, saying Paul mentioned something in application to the culture and that it no longer applies now is problematic. If Scripture is culturally dependent then it cannot be without error. The door is also opened that if one of Paul's teachings can be attacked in this way then others can too, and one of the most prolific writers of the New Testament can be canceled. No, Paul's statements were not in response to the culture of Corinth. Paul had several young men that worked along side him, no females. The Apostles were all men. It doesn't make women unimportant, it just means they have a different role. Thank you for your video, sir.
Thank you for a clear teaching on this subject. I teach in an all girls school and the girls don’t like it when I tell them about the role of women in the church, perhaps I will show them this video.
Hello. What are your thoughts on "soft complementarianism" arguing that this is the best way to go in church because just like in a Christ-centered family where a mother has authority over children and a father over all of them, then a woman is said to be allowed to be a pastor but never a senior pastor? And that the ordination of the woman into a pastor is to clarify among the community her functional role which among a flock that also has some women as small group leaders?
God has ordained patriarchy. That should end the speculation right there… And Paul has stated very clearly what women are to do in church. Have a great day!
Amen! I am a woman who desires to be strictly "Biblical" and to live a life that honors and please God. I know that as far as salvation and its blessings and responsibilities go there is no distinction between men and women. However, as far as roles goes men are the head in the church, family, and society. God never asked us to like His will but to obey it. I am a teacher of women and women only. I feel that is a great honor and privilege. I do not have a problem with that order because I love God and want to be obedient to my God!

rose pitt A prophet is very different than a pastor.

Most of these women took the lead in their marriages and in their faith while the men followed. Sad. Now that Im in the word and not charismatic anymore, I understand how wrong & damaging it is for women to be dominant over men in the church. Its even nauseating to see.

I understand why. It's because most churches now take their lead from societal norms, rather than scriptural teaching. This is likely for 2 reasons: one is that they get less grief and fight-back (which no one enjoys) and the other is a misguided attempt to be more "popular" and win people over. IMO

Because we live in a world that rejects God's Word, where the weak/ill-informed believer is swayed "by every wind of doctrine".
Question: "What does the Bible say about women pastors?"
Answer: There is perhaps no more hotly debated issue in the church today than the issue of women serving as pastors.
In context in chapter 14
A woman could have a teaching etc. And this is from God and is when all the church is together.

Great comment
Its not about “CAN”, the question is “SHOULD”.
Here’s an example.
1. Can Adam and Eve eat the Fruit of Knowledge of Evil and Good?
- Yes they CAN
-But, SHOULD they eat it?
This is the issue of the Liberal mentality.
Study the Fall of Man, before Eve ate the fruit, she had “Positive” views/ideas of eating it instead of asking herself if God said to or not and why.
Very true! 'What does God say?'
Love this! 🙌🏼🙏🏼

Mark Forquer oh wow that is insane, but It is really hard to find a solid male pastor.

"Just as good as some men" is a very low bar. But, that's really not the issue.

Like what?
Thank you for your take on this sir. The bible actually doesn't say women shouldn't be workers in church, we had prophetess in the old testament, and women can also teach other women etc Being a Pastor, Bishop etc should only be for men. All these so called female pastors is what is also causing the rise to feminism and chaos in the body of Christ and outside the church, and acceptance of things that the Word is clearly against. God bless you Bro.
Time Stealr I agree

This is what I am waiting for. I was bothered with "should women be leaders/pastor in church?" question.
I love to see people rightly divide the word of God in its proper context. Well done brother. All glory to Jesus Christ our Lord.
It's frustrating sometimes when people try to pick and choose what to believe, or when they twist the Word for their benefit. I highly doubt 1 Cor. 34-35 was in regards to women "yelling across the church to ask questions"
This person is also believes women should be able to be pastors.
I will say while I agree with the presenter of this video, when I lived in Asia, they STILL had men and women sitting on opposite sides of the church, so I can see how they would have that view without malicious intent.
LOL
Good job. Your videos are informative and not "I feel ...".
Thank you.
AWESOME my brother in CHRIST!!!!

I’d rather listen to Jesus and do what Jesus has asked me to do rather than what Paul advised the Church in Ephesus and Corinth.
Praise GOD for unmistakable truth 🙌

rose pitt preaching the gospel to people and being a pastor of a church are two totally different things

Awesome video and amazing, logical explanation of the facts. Thanks again.
You're very welcome, Ashish.
“No” for 9 minutes and 35 seconds... 😉😎👍
Remember, Philip’s daughters were prophetesses, which one could argue is greater than the office of a pastor. But I still think that if a women is to preach, prophesy or exercise a gift, it must be done under the leadership of a MAN.
@@susanhermes3135 umm...... NO, prophet means one who prophesies and women can prophecy ! Pastor is the one who leads the church , pastor is a full time job reading and exerting the word of God etc so he rules the church. Prophets on the other hand rule none ! So prophets must submit to their local church as should anyone.
defence apologetics Yes, that’s exactly what I mean/found out.
Can you do another video on how to be baptized in the name of Jesus or in the name of the Father Son and Holy Spirit
Good video idea
It's the exact same thing. Jesus represents the Father Son and Spirit.
His name in greek is Iesous it means logos. It's where we got the modern word Logo. Jesus represents all 3.
If you have the son you have the father.
Matthew 28
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
But after Jesus did his work revelaed himself messiah it became baptise in Jesus name: the Father Son and Holy Ghost all went to the Cross for us that day.
Acts 2:38
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
1 John 2:23
Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.
Ephesians 2:18
For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.
John 10:30
I and my Father are one.
Baruch TheScribe I 100% agree with you but others keep separating them saying that the Trinity is titles
@@savannahrose5118 yes also I agree with you he should make a video about this. Many are confused. I baptise people and I do it in Jesus name and they always say, "isn't it supposed to be in the name of the Father Son and Holy Ghost?" I always have to explain, but I love talking about God so it's fine. I know the three are all represented in our Lord Christ Jesus.
GOD does call women to preach, is a matter of fact every believer should be a preacher of the gospel.
Thank you for speaking the truth, I love watching/listening to your videos because you always bring God's actual word and only the truth to his children! So refreshing to hear God's true word! May God bless you abundantly
This. This is where I, too, had a problem with the video.
Deborah wasn't a judge tho...
Actually, she was…and a prophet too. According to Judges 4:4 “Now Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lappidoth, was judging Israel at the time.”
@@virginiareynolds6296 so what? How does that imply that she was an actual judge? Was she in a temple? No!, Was she a military leader? No!, Was she a ruler? No!. Barack, as he was referenced three times later, was the one to arise and lead, and deliver Israel. Anyone with a right mind can judge a situation when asked, is what the Israelites did when they went up to her, and that does not even make her a judicial judge. What sense is a judicial judge make in a time of captivity? Don't you people see that all of that happened in a single day?
Should I give it to you, and say that she was a judge for only one day, which was actually not...
@@virginiareynolds6296 she like any prophetess before and after her, had never led men. She was merely a reminder, or messenger to Barack, as he was the one responsible with dealing with the event.
Amen brother. God bless you.
Something that I don't understand is, when Paul mentioned the law as his reasoning for not allowing woman to lead. Is that ok? What part of the law is he talking about? The moral law has no mention of this and that is the only law we continue to follow as Christians today as Jesus commanded us to continue to follow. Could you please clarify. Thanks, God bless you.
It’s not in the OT laws either, so Paul must have been referring to the Roman law.
He's referring to Genesis. Man was created first, then woman. On this basis is church pastorship made to be a patriarchy.
Remember this is not from man rules , its received from the revelations of Jesus Christ. (Galatians 1:11-12) so paul moral law is from God which is the ULTIMATE MORAL LAW.
Great video of more truths! Thanks as always🥰

Yes- from a biblical perspective, leadership has always been male beginning with Adam (Gen 3:16). It gives women security to be under the headship of their husbands. And so it is in the church, the leadership is male.

Did God really say?...... Sounds familiar?

That is correct. Now, please show us in scripture where the fact God is not a respecter of persons is used regarding to the role of women in the church, including preaching, teaching and being a pastor.
@Jen Nesset Greatly appreciate it, Jens. Thank you!
Appreciate the video brother. Blessings
I’m still on the fence with this one....but I have a question....aren’t we no longer bound by the law because of what Christ did for us on the cross?
The verse falls in the new testament. The law was unable to be fulfilled by man and so Christ went to the cross because he was the only one who was blameless and could take the punishment for our sins. However, that doesn't negate God's original design for our lives: Husbands are the spiritual leader in the home, and the woman submits to Him. Just like Christ is the head of the Church and we submit to Him. Woman can teach other but the Bible clearly lays out how the church should run....men in leadership roles. It wasn't to say that Women are inferior, for God gave the Woman other roles of service to the church, but not to be the spiritual leader over the body. I hope that helps
Research beth more and christine
Amen!! 👍 Great teaching.
Thanks for this brother! My concern with Christian UA-camrs nowadays is bypassing scholarly research. I hope and pray we wouldn’t take the Word of God lightly and actually dig deep into our primary source- The Bible.
I wonder what your thoughts on women speaking in big church conferences and pursuing teaching In the context of Church teaching conferences?.... or teaching Online about God.
I am aware that not many women are active in the realm of theology. As far as I’m aware anyway. I rarely find women scholars.
You are welcome, my Presbie sister. I don't believe women should speak in Christian conferences in which there is a mixed congregation of both men and women. Women can write books, blogs, articles and have podcasts if they want. I see those as more of a one on one private conversation. You're right. There are not a ton of female scholars, but there are a lot more now than there were 40 years ago. Thanks always for your kind words, Cates.
Amen! I am currently trying to convince someone the context of 1 Timothy 2:12. I'm gonna send her the link to this video.
Right on point brother Alan

rose pitt when we read scripture we must read in context and in entirety
The woman at the well did not preach, she brought people to Jesus and evangelized on His behalf.
In your first instance, Priscilla explains baptism to Apollo’s- with her husband.

If you look at the role of men and woman in the Bible God himself is clear that men are to lead.
Women were created as his helper.

Excellent. I like keeping things simple. If we would just get our own wants out of the way, life is so much easier.
Thank you and very true.
Did God hand down this law (such as the 10 commandments) or is it just Paul's opinion from Old Testament interpretations from that time period?
Hi Carol, good question. I'll take a stab at the answer, though I realize you're asking Alan. :) Since all scripture is inspired by the Holy Spirit, this means it is just as divine as what God handed to Moses, thus, we can take the writings of the apostle (appointed by Christ himself) Paul just as seriously as the carved out law.
@@brettmagnuson8318 Thanks for your reply! Being a woman and all....(lol) The women's rights movement has done so much damage to the family unit and also robbed us of our divine purpose and the men too. Evil never takes a break!
There are many examples in the Old Testament about males leading. If we go all the way back, Adam was made first, then Eve. I believe that was the beginning of the patriarchal system that Paul was referring to.

Spot on! Totally agree with you.
As a Christian woman I agree 100% only men shld have spiritual authority b/c that is their birth right by God! I pray more Christian women come to understand this truth and stop bringing the secular progressive lie into the church. John MacArthur was right when he said women don’t want equality they want rulership God even called it out when He pronounced Eve’s punishment for committing sin in the garden “your desire will be to rule over your husband...”
I am glad more people are speaking up about this lie because it has been on my heart since God revealed it’s truth to me. May God continue to redeem His people with His truth and my they listen.

Awesome breakdown brother!

Beautiful exposition
This is brilliantly broken down and tear down all these ridiculous cultural argument we hear everyday.
Thanks
But with long hair you are looking like hippie..

Thank you for a clear teaching on this subject. I teach in an all girls school and the girls don’t like it when I tell them about the role of women in the church, perhaps I will show them this video.

How are you?
NO they shouldn't!!!!! Why??? The Bible says so!!!! God bless you all.
Yup
