The Hidden Dominican Restaurant in a Bronx Billiard Hall
Вставка
- Опубліковано 9 гру 2021
- Almost unnoticeable to those who don’t know it, deep in the Bronx is Nano Billiard Cafe, or Tony’s Billiards, an old-school basement pool hall that serves up some of the best Dominican food in New York City. Anita, the cook, has made Tony’s Billiards famous to residents far and wide who taste her homestyle Dominican food and return for more. Some say that when they can’t get the food their mothers’ make, they visit Anita’s kitchen for a plate of her beans, stews, ribs, fried chicken, and much more.

Just alone with her character you can’t help but love her. The struggles she has defeated and continues to keep going. God bless
Yea NYC being on those list and were angry and what not is cause we got it all sorts of hard it differs per person and their story but also some of us deal with NYCHA (housing company) and it's not the best I'll leave it at that then add the crime into the mix.... but we still keep going some how it's nuts.
You took the words out of my mouth. Se deja querer.
It's crazy that sure doesn't speak English. How long has she been in the country for?
Munchies this is great story telling. This is the heart and soul of one of NYC's greatest food. I'm so thrilled Dominican Cusine is getting the spotlight. Every New Yorker has their goto spot for Latin American food. Latin American food is part of NYC eating experience: pizza, bagel, dumpling, arroz....🤌🤌🤌
And you know Anita's food is GOOD! So much love is put into it....passion and pride. She was very specific about Whole Oregano! Thank you for teaching us Anita! ❤️👑
I teared up a bit when she said “con dinero o sin dinero” she feeds them 🥲no no no YO LLORE Dios Santo Bendiga está señora
u know thats a lie u mad dumb
She had tearing up when she narrated her story. I wish her long life in good health and abundance.
Thank you so much 😊
Just talked to her I told her about this video, she’s so excited jaja told her that she’s going to have a busy weekend so she be ready 😍
la próxima avísele que abra una cuenta en Instagram para conocer el dia a dia.
@ le pregunté lo mismo, dijeron que no les interesa las redes. Han logrado su éxito de manera orgánica a pura recomendaciones 😍
🥰🙏🏽❤️
@ i could see that. i hope not
@ I bet the people who run this restaurant would be angry if you told them they weren’t white.
My god i can’t believe she made me cry while listening to her saying she’s like q mother to everyone ... que humildad todavía quedan personas de buen corazón en esta vida . Que Dios la bendiga siempre ♥️
Muchísimas gracias de parte de Anita besos y bendiciones ❤️
Thank you for giving Dominican people a platform to show our great culture and amazing food ! It feels like I’m hearing an aunt speak and it’s truly amazing 🥲. Go show mom and pops shops love 💕
Right instead of all the negative,I felt like a kid watching this.🇩🇴🇩🇴🇩🇴
This brought me to tears. 😭I went to high school a few blocks away from there and never knew it was around! So much culture & humility in our lovely borough. So happy to see the Bronx, Dominican culture and people like the wonderful Anita being represented in this video. 🥺💜
The spirit of this woman warms my soul. I would love to experience her food.
What a genuinely kind and caring woman!
I also really love the relationship between her and Manolin. He's her biggest fans and so proud of what she's doing for the community
I'll probably never meet her or have a chance to visit. I know I would want a hug before I left if I did, can see the love in her smile.
Weirdo lol. Megan’s law for u lol
Why is genuine human love for another human being weird?
its up the block from where i live this woman is amazing
@@hi86065 how is that weird? Seems like you're the only weirdo here along with 3 people that liked your comment lol
Surviving 2 types of dangerous cancer in 2 years and still keeps going and feeding people. ❤️
This is the strength of pure - hearted Dominican ladies. 🇩🇴❤️
Grew up on teller like five blocks away used to go get pastaleo before hoping on the d train. It’s crazy how the gems from my hood are now blowing up after years of service to the people. So many other hidden spots all over 167th and concourse
Dios me lo bendiga a esa señora, que sus frutos y logros sean de lo más alto, ella se lo merece💯❤️
Muchísimas gracias de parte de Anita ❤️
Reminds me of my grandma that passed recently. So strong and a two time cancer survivor. Couldn't help but shed some tears at the end there.

The owner of the billiard wasnt there so I couldnt joke with him about the first meal on him but the food is amazing I went there today for a carne guisado and arroz blanco con abichuela roja meal. Hands down amazing, she won me over ill be traveling to the Bx from Harlem more often now
