Why are you whispering at me?!
#ASMR is an acronym commonly used to describe the “tingly” sensation associated with certain audio/visual stimulae - often whispering/soft-spoken voice, and other quiet “triggers”. It's a similar feeling to 'frisson' - the shivers that run up your spine when watching an incredible scene in a film, or really /feeling/ amazing music. It's the best.
“Excuse me, you do know this is the quiet crane.. right?”
The ‘crane lunch’ photo actively stresses me out every time I look at it, the fact you managed to make this relaxing is just another proof that you are a wizard.
Wait until you see the photo of the photographer who took that photo
@@tazzie165 ikr? It's even cooler than the original photo
@@tazzie165 how would I find that photo? I couldn't find anything like that when I googled it 😥
Edit: I think I do know the photo you're talking about actually but wasn't it never confirmed that's the guy who took it/who he is 🤔?
@@galaxysoup it is
@@mikimroczek4525 no, it was never confirmed who actually took the photo. it was taken as a publicity stunt for advertising, so there were multiple photographers at the shoot, none of which have been definitively named as the taker of the photo.
Heart attack at 27:57 after almost half an hour of a pleasantly relaxing chat at the top of the world

I thought he just ended the killinh himself lol
@@jockdouglass3824 Weave
@@jockdouglass3824 what language was that
I gasped.
I can't wait to see in which horrific and/or disturbing way this one ends. My guess is at least one of us falls off the crane.
Nigga wtf
Close....
When it's an Atlas upload, you know it's gonna be an Absolute Masterpiece
Best part of the month
so the man on the plane is the son, the man on the crane is the father, and the man on the train is the grandfather. I love how the family heirlooms are a book they all adore, photography, and a bit of generational trauma. brilliant! also I wish you didn't already have my subscription because the 8:30 moment is too golden to miss.
I’d say the man on the train had his son three years before his death in 1887 which means the man on crane is 45
The absolute mad man, you actually did it
Lmao
You know him?
I'm still holding out hopes for 'Man Dressed as Bane'. That being said, keep up the good work; we love you.
Whyyyy
@@emiljohannes2093 Why not lol I need one of these for every letter grammatically possible
Bane going insane , standing in the rain
I'd like a king of the hill one. Man sells propane.
all of them fit the format of "man on _", so he has to be on something. also fitting the theme of historic settings, i'd imagine "man on terrain", in which he is a frontiersman, would be a better bet.
"Perhaps you and I shall meet again on a ship..." Man Sailing to Spain, 1973 confirmed
Ooh, I hope so
Stay tuned for the season 4 premier
I feel like the man on (blank) , (blank) series is like a hawk man situation, where two friends are immortal and just keep finding each other throughout the years to have a chat but don’t remember each other but they are always ending up as nice friends
Yes.
A strange sort of time travel or something similar.
i love how we are canonically just always staring at him
I'd like to think that the viewer is squinting at him as if they're trying to figure out why he looks familiar
@@abbynx2642 omg, yes!!! That's what i was thinking about
@@abbynx2642 honestly i thought maybe it was like we were spacing out while staring at him lol
@@QVUTDN omg are me?
@@QVUTDN honestly i thought we were in love with atlas maybe enemies to lovers lol
The lighting on this one is really cool! I love your set designs, this one is really realistic and film looking.
Cuz hes actually on a crane
Man on Train (2020)
Man on Plane (2021)
Man on Crane (2022)
Thanks for creating another masterpiece Atlas!
Happy binge watching ‘the series’ friends~
The man on crane is 1932 not 2022
@@macejaso i think he ment year of release
@@macejaso those were the years the videos were released, not the year they took place
Next up, Man on Mary Jane (2023)
Man on Ship (2023)
The sheer devotion to the joke, while still maintaining such a high standard is just beautiful. Well done, sir!
Having run out of modes of transport rhyming with train, the series could continue with the more distant ancestors of these characters.
Looking forward to "Man in Spain, 1588" or even "Man in Maine, 1775". "Man in Terrain, 2000 BC" is an obscure one, but rest assured there'll be a market for it.
Also, you got my subscription. Cheeky though!
Maine would have to be post the Missouri compromise in 1820, but I like your thinking 😂
I don't agree about the year about Spain. What about 1741, more memorable. If we are going to make a country humiliated in an ASMR video I'd rather prefer that privilege given to the Brits. Tontolapolla.
@@mae8891 Just read about it, out of interest :)
You're right, he would maybe have to specify that it was the province or county of Maine, as it was known prior to 1820
I volunteer to be a consultant on this project, as a resident Mainer
Man under the terrain , 2001.
I don't even mind that you only upload a few videos per year because each video feels like it's own little movie with amazing cinematography and attention to detail all the while being very relaxing.
You're nothing short of an artist and I wanna thank you for pumping out all these bangers, Atlas! 💛
Guts pfp based
Several videos ago I was like "Okay this man isn't even making ASMR, he's just straight-up making short films now" and I am all for that.
Next one should be Man in Sane(asylum)
No, but really I do love this series haha. I knew the video was straight up inspired by the photograph from the title. Props to you Atlas!
No matter if it's Train, Plane, Crane, or even Sane. It always ends with Man in Pain.
@@nicholasparker.970 lmao
Every "Oh? What's this?" in this 'series' will continue to give me a mild arrhythmia upon hearing them.
"I will get you to subscribe" as the subscribe button pops up on the top corner is the most deliciously meta thing I've experienced in a long time. There's always some subtle (or not-so-subtle) gem in your videos, which, coupled with the incomparable production value, makes them stand above the rest. The fact that you also have one of the most naturally soothing ASMR baritones around has almost become an ancillary bonus at this point... almost... 🙂
The cinematography of your videos is unparalleled
Atlas it's brilliant ! I love the character 🤩
Thanks so much!!
I swear this guy is everywhere. I get on the train to get to my workplace, and he's across the aisle. I get off the train and walk through the park in which we are working, and he's there on the bench. Finally, I get up to the crane after a few hours to take a rest, and guess who is sitting not six feet away! He can tell a heck of a tale though.
Nobody turns me into a nervously giggly school girl like Atlas in the first two minutes of his videos, after the first eye contact, before the first words.
(You broke my heart a little when you said you don’t particularly like New York though)
I absolutely love how you have a minute or two of just you whispering so the scene is properly set. It eases you into the roleplay, makes you more invested.
your costume choice is exquisite! beautiful details and evocative of the era, especially love the matching tie and suspenders 🤌
Something about this character makes me want to meet him. So wholesome and just an outgoing guy.
Man, I was waiting for this more than Christmas. I watch asmr of all kinds, but yours are really a piece of art. If you ever pass through Italy you got a beer and a pizza, thanks for your amazing work!
the excitement i just felt seeing this notification 😭 i feel like a kid on christmas morning 👏🏻
I'm actually surprised that the 20th September 1932 is actually a tuesday. Really nice Detail
Did you just make this because of the pun of “Man on Train”? Absolutely incredible ❤
Man on Train, Man on Plane, Man on Crane. It's a full series now
Is listener just an immortal vampire that keeps bumping into this man’s family every few generations? I kinda like the idea that the listener is some immortal being that just hangs around humans and found this man by accident. While they talk and had a good time that they just decided to see them every few decades or so 😗
Looking forward to Man on a Lane next but in reality you are the Man in my Brain after listening to this. Always enjoyable!
Damn smooth
Please somebody let me know: does this friendly and charming gentleman survive this time?!
No, he falls and lands on a huge spike, dying slowly for about 5 minutes.
Pardon me and my lack of sleep, the main characters of the "Man on ..." film series die in the end of their films?
@@hellhedgehog2560 I want to know too, I can never stay awake until the end! 😴
@@hellhedgehog2560 Yes, man on train was shot for example, prior to talking with "us", couldn't stay awake for man on plane though so not sure how that ends
A serious response for anyone who really wants to know: yes, he survives! I was quite relieved
My god he did it… he actually did it! That’s gotta be the best asmrtist I’ve ever seen…
I think some of my favorite details between these is the attention to historical accuracy. Especially in the Train one. absolutely amazing how much work goes into these! Some of the highest asmr production quality on UA-cam!
Morning sunshine fog.🔆🏗️ Dark green hat, tie, and suspenders. Crinkly paper. And the poet heart and voice of Junior. Sights and sounds are wonderfully done. I don't care where we go Atlas. As long as we go. Lovely to see you.💜 Thank you for the safe and happy ending.
Thank you for all the beautiful ASMR’s you do! You’re awesome!
Incredible! This is so wonderfully lit and set. Great job!
No comment? Lemme fix that.
I found myself answering every question and blushing deeply for some odd reason. The perfect amalgamation of Henry Cavil and Gerard Butler. This man’s voice is velvet and his smile is just…I thoroughly enjoy watching you. BTW, the name is Jas (pronounced jazz).
HE IS BACK THE KING RETURNS WITH MAN ON CRANE
mannnn i’ve been sick for a few days now, but seeing that you uploaded genuinely made me feel better. amazing video, as usual. you just keep getting better and better. we appreciate the effort that goes into these so much :)
5 minutes in and this is already a masterpiece. thank you for your hard work as always, Atlas!
Back in 1932, people thought time machines would exist in the future. this is what time machines looks like. Asmr are the only ones avaliable.
Each of the videos in this series is great on their own, but it adds so much to the viewing experience to watch them together, catch all the clever jokes and references to each other, and see how each of the characters are similar and different. I think for the most part you can watch them in any order too - all that really changes in the viewer's perception is which video is the set-up and which one is the payoff.
atlas has some kind of, idk, *voice*, gives him an edge to asmr of sorts, it’s pretty cool, i discovered him through man on plane, and the series of this “Family” seems to grow amazingly, you never fail to amaze me Atlas, nor anyone else.
This is legendary, to complete the saga we need man in rain
Oh yes, the rain sounds would be wonderful
Beautifully done as always, Atlas. I’m really fond of this series. It’s like seeing a lovely friend again.
I saw this exact same man before , he must be a time traveler
i always get so excited to watch your uploads!! thank you for another beautifully cinematic and clever asmr experience :]
This channel and ASMR FRANCE are the 2 best cinematic ASMR channels anywhere on the internet. Amazing
I meant Made In France ASMR
a third part to a series? this gives me hope for the altas series!
+1 request for an Altas series!
I apperciate the amount of time, effort, and work you put into these videos!
Love the fact that these videos always rhyme
Your level of creativity is magical. And you shared your sandwich! This is stunning 💖
Ohhh that ending is Clever!!!! It’s fun to see this really become an annual thing! Of course the craft is expert!
The visuals are so good I’m uncomfortable about the height, but the audio is so nice I’m relaxed. Amazing work as always Atlas.
i feel like a video of atlas going over how the videos are made or like the basics of cinematography would be a really interesting video, almost like a behind the scenes
bro i've never watched asmr vids that made me want to cry til these series wtf, the little breadcrumbs you pepper throughout feel extra special because i imagine people sleep through portions all the time 🥺
this* the heck happened to the edit feature
i absolutely love his creations. thank you for this atlas! ❤
Somehow asking me to subscribe entirely within the context of the scene and conversation while simultaneously not breaking the immersion is truly magnificent
Bro, your ability to create a mood/lighting/vibe is just second to none. *chef's kiss* Another classic!
i like to picture he is like a time travler just goin through time and we just happen to see him everytime
I have a suggestion for a potential future entry into the Man on a... series:
*Man on a Tank, 1942.* A lone British tank commander sits atop a destroyed tank scribbling away at his notebook, before being found by a fellow lost Tommy.
Idk, it's an idea I always thought could possibly be intriguing for one of these videos.
What an honour to be early to an Atlas video, and a "Man On" no less!
I can't get my head around just how realistic this looks...The illumination is amazing, I love it!
The moment that you gifted us your camera and told us with a soft smile that it is now time to see your family again... I felt uneasy. When you literally dropped out of frame I shoutet out loud. A desperate no escaped my lips, reaching out my hand toward the screen, as if I could catch you. When you came back up all cheerful I felt relieved. You had me sitting on the quite literal edge. You manage to pull me in to your stories each and every time, they are masterpieces. Thank you so much for stealing us away from reality, a small step at a time.
Man on train, Man on plane, and now this! Amazing!
You never cease to amaze me with the effort you put into your content. It’s clear how lovingly you craft each detail and bit of it all. I honestly don’t think any other creator right now has a such a knack for their sets and shots like you do. Every video is a true treat to our ears AND eyes.
You did it again Atlas, i would be so scared up there, you made it so real, great setup and lighting and story.
"There's always been a beam below here"
Brilliant historic wink towards the original photo
Yes!! A new installment. So excited. Yet again you continue to put out stellar work.
Oh yay!! Love that little teaser at the end!
Absolutely amazing 💚💚!! So great to see all these nods to your other videos, and the sound of the newspapers 😍😍!! And these things about Autumn remind me of a French poem by Paul Verlaine : "Les sanglots longs 💧 / Des violons 🎻 / De l'automne 🍂 // Blessent mon coeur ❤ / D'une langueur 🌬 / Monotone 🌫." (The long sobbing / Of the violins / Of Autumn // Hurts my heart / With a monotonous / Languor.") Thank you for this visual jewel 💎.
wow, this is great quality for 1932!
All the men who did this kind of thing, sitting at the top of cranes, build skyscrapers, etc.. Immediately gain my respect.
This level of creativity is just extraordinary 🙏🏽🙌🏾 Atlas you have outdone yourself once again
Can we appreciate the lighting in this video, its fantastic
love this series, so pleased you made another one and you linked all the characters together 😍!!! thank you Atlas!! Oh and baked bean sandwiches are the best!! i love 'em. 🎉🎉
Wonderful video! The sounds were done so nicely!
My name is Olive, so the fact that you were so close to it made me really happy and excited and heartwarming!
I absolutely love your content, one of the nicest deep voices I've ever heard!
12:38 i thought for a second that the "oh what's this" was gonna be followed by "I appear to have been shot"
10:06 I really like how he tried guessing our name and how he went “Jerrol…deen…no”
the lighting is soo good and feels so realistic
The poor unsuspecting person that's going to get completely nailed by that book has me rolling. I'm glad he got it back to give to James at some point!
edit: THE WAY MY SOUL LEFT MY BODY AT THE END PLEASE
If we get "man on the street", we'll know how that one ends...😂
@@forevermore9431 I think that would be called the Man in Lane lol
This is ONE OF THE BEST ASMR VIDEOS I EVER WATCHED WOW❤❤❤❤❤❤
Love the ambiance. Spent most of the video anticipating that ending, but somehow I'm still relaxed. Well done!

Atlas uploading on my birthday >>>>>
Happy birthday!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎊🎊🎊🎊🎂🎂🎂🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
Happy birthday!
I’m guessing next is: Man on Drain? Or Man in Lane? Or Man in Chains? Man in Spain? And my personal favorite: Man Insane
Man in Spain would be awesome, especially in another past time situation.
Renaissance, or some other interesting time period, where we meet him in some strange historical time frame there.
I don't know how many times I have failed to watch through your videos to the end cause I fell asleep in the middle of them. Big love from Japan🇯🇵
The fog is such a wonderful touch. Excellent as always!
Me: Atlas must be running out of vehicles that phonetically end in “ain”, there’s no way he could follow this theme any further-
Atlas:
My take on this series is that grant, the man on the train, is the late father of Junior who passed on the camera and the man on the plane who is named James inherits the desire to fly. Not sure if anyone else sees this link or I’m just weird
It's your signature, I guess, to start talking after a few minutes of keeping quite. Not gonna lie, that works. Helps to build up some tingly sensation that leads to a climax by the moment you start talk.
amazing work with the lighting
This is ASMR GOLD.
It is very pleasing to me to find ASMR that is clever whilst never betraying its internal logic and...also, naturally, provides both Shakespeare and steamed beans. Thank you for being game to continue this "joke" - it's a good one!
I love this serie.
12:37 I always thought he might said "it seemed that I've been shot" dammit why are you putting your breakfast there gives me shivers
Man on Ship, 1912
The absolute smile I gave once you started reciting Orsino’s monologue! I played Viola in a production of Twelfth Night years ago, and that brought back many good memories :) Wonderful work as always!
Absolutely amazing work!
