Minwax seals the paint from chipping off. I use it on all my planes. allow at least 24 hours before reassembly. Excellent video , thanks for the heads up. You learned something and shaired it so we can all learn from you.
My horizontal stabiliser was loose so I had to tape it in place. The Safe mode came on in the Fmode position which caught me out badly. I flipped the switch to Safe off and she flew in a stiff wind with the gyro working as it should. Not a great finish on this plane.
I had a similar mistery situation on my Commander. Just couldn't figure it out. Come to find out that one of my Flaps was hanging slightly lower than the other. Problem fixed.
Same plane here, Both my control rods were sticking. Elevator rod not to bad but rudder was stuck firm. Ho ever assembled mine went crazy with the glue.
I can’t understand how you could have that bad experience, I have two Valiants and both of them flight awesome, I always have lots of fun flying them...
I find Eflight very sloppy in there quality control. I bought this plane a few days ago and assembly is a real pain, manual says use screws from package C packages are not labelled also the wing wires are not labelled, tail does not slot in easy, the screws are much to long. Also all te servo setting where way off. Maybe I got a bad one, can happen. AS3X is not working properly, elevator does not move when you dip the plane, no I am not impressed, I have built many planes an this was no fun, hope it fly's ok

The only problem I’ve had with this plane is the cg because it cg’s perfect without a battery in it but a littil tail weight an good to go

Your experience is not the NORM
