Hey, I checked out an auto 4.6 2v today. And everything was good except the steering. It was really stiff and the pwr steering fluid was good so I was wondering if it’s common for the steering to be stiff on these cars?
@@EarsPOV Rear only 10.5in wheels run $150-$200 a pop and a cheap set of tires can be had for $350. Sub frame connectors are $300 and weld them on yourself. SCT $400 new and around $250 used. I paid $200 for mine a month ago. Paint correction and coating if done yourself can be had for less than $500 if you don’t have the polisher, pads and compound/polish. If you pay for others to do the work for you then yes most of the money goes to labor. This is why I work on my own stuff so I can pocket that labor costs.
Hey was looking that lar performance does the one that says 2004 fit the 2003 Mach 1. She’s to dam quiet stock h pipe and borla s type mufflers very interested. Hopefully someone comments if these fit id scoop up asap for the price
Used centri kits are only $1500 more than a proper nitrous setup. Could be less depending on the deal. 10 fill ups you spend more than what it would cost to boost the car.
It’s def not $3000. It will still be pricey but if you buy your gear set on AM it will be under $300 in parts plus $500-$700 in labor. So $800-$1000. Just find an experienced shop that will let you bring your own parts if possible.
@brinkbodin9239 it doesn't cost 3000 bucks to do gears lol. You could buy a fully build rear with all the bells and whistles installed for under 3k lol. It shouldn't even be 1000 although it can vary depending on shop.
Idk why you break this down as new edge mods like the same exact thing dont apply to 94-98 cars even 05 up cars. The shifter location is exactly the same on 94-04 cars its not specific to new edges. Also if you have a 4v DO NOT fear the gear. The gear recommendation you talk about is more geared towards 2v cars i know the title says gt but there are 99-01 cobra and 03-04 machs out there too. 4.10 is minimum on 4v cars even boosted and 430-456 na. Ive seen guys have the ladder with boost on stock motor setups and it still works well. As for turbo setups they like longer gears than blower cars.
Daily driving a supercharged Newedge in 2023 is a whole new level of respect from me fam 👌👌
I’ve had 2 new edges. Sold my the most recent one in 21’ you’ve convinced me to buy another one 💪🏾
That's wassup!
My man still at it like Larry June 💯
I've got the 4.10 gears on a manual and I really enjoy them
Did you install them your self or did a shop installed them for you?
What engine and cams are you running? Sounds badazz!

Might need new fluid if it’s very stiff!
Probably needs a new rack
Thank you!!! My 2002 just has Borla stingers and stock H pipe so was looking for a place to get a X Pipe.
😎👍
@@EarsPOVguy in the start of the video was not feeling it he was riding your bumper😂😂
I plan to get my auto to 300hp. Nothing too fast as i dont have the time to build the motor for 400+ with my job. Love the vid.
Thanks! But you will have to open the motor to get 300hp
You don't have to build the motor for 400 hp you can make over 400 wheel eash with boost its about running good fuel and a good tune. 👍
I don't mind the boost, it's just the fact I bought the car with 145k miles. If I can't hit 300hp NA without opening the whole engine, that's fine
Deep dish rear wheels with tires, full length sub frame connectors, SCT X4, 2 stage paint correction with ceramic coating.
If only those were all under $1,000 😫

so 4.10s for an auto.. even if plannin on running boost in the near future?
What should I put in my 2004 mustang 40th anniversary convertible V6 3.9L?
bro i gotta know what those wheels are!! looking for a set for my new edge and those are fire

It will fit
Did you do your cam swap yourself
Cold start in Arizona . hahahahahahaha
Gears, shifter, exhaust, wheels and boost!
Those are the best mods money not an issue fosho
Also what does everyone think about putting a new edge on nitrous? I’ve been thinking about it.

You can probably do cams under 1k if you buy them on black Friday and do the work yourself.
You’d be cutting it extremely close
How much are gear’s including the install? I’ve been wanting to do it but curious how much the install is.
$3,000. Not even sure why these would make the list. One of the toughest jobs to do yourself and insanely expensive for a shop to do the labor.

3K LOL 😂
@@EarsPOVIf anyone is reading this the NoCO area and knows of any shop that will do this job for less, please LMK. That would be wonderful.

4.10 too much gear 2V or 4V
You could run out of gear with 410's with a 26 inch tire on boosted 2vs and 4vs depending on your trap speed
Im 5.4 swapping mine
