- 2024 Valleys Lite on my KTM 790 Adventure R. Smashing day with beautiful weather. First time racing on an adventure bike, definitely doing it again. On the last lap bike started to overheat due to the radiators being fully covered with mud - I should have gone through more puddles to wash it off throughout the race ;)

nice one fella, itis a slippery place isn't it - doing well on big bikes as that ground is just weird
I had to check my rear wheel after couple laps as it feels like you are riding on flat tyre 🙈
I always wince more seeing the big bike that needs to be picked up in an awkward spot over the fall itself. That's experience I suppose!
100% - annoyingly in the race that cost you a lot of energy, but you have to keep going, no time to rest … after 2nd lap I went a bit slower trying not to make mistakes. That paid off with better time despite slower riding 🤷♂️ racing for you - tactics are important 😆
@@krycekADV yeah super brutal, makes adventure class such a unique challenge. Other side of it is you're not fast enough you fall into middle pack initially, which is a crap fest that probably increases chances of a fall as well. I say that with basically no rally experience...but I've watched a fair few and ride a 790 so I'm obviously an expert...probably top 10.
We started on row 12 right at the back, but due to relatively short lap we were quickly mixed up with small bikes. There isn’t many races just for big bikes, so we have to take what we can 🤷♂️ Hopefully there is enough interest now that someone we start organising more races for big bikes 🤞
@@krycekADVyeah, seems like a dedicated rally would make a lot of sense. I was super tempted to try the Sweet Lamb Baja in Wales this summer.
I think that solds out pretty quickly - I would love to have a go on it one day

hej , mam pytako odnosnie spodni , z tego co zauwazylem uzywasz chyba mongolia trausers od adventure speck ,pojechal bys w nich TET Polski w lipcu ? Dzieki
Cześć, zgadza się to spodnie mongolia. Jeżdżę w nich cały rok i w każdej pogodzie - czy są idealne na ciepłą pogodę, raczej nie. Mi to nie przeszkadza - mi w nogi aż tak ciepło nigdy nie jest. Przyznam że chodzą mi po głowie meshowe spodnie, ale mogą nie wejść na moje buty - nie wygrasz 😅
@@krycekADV no nie jest lekko , na kolach ze szkocjii do PL na TETa i moge zabrac trylko jedna pare spodni
Jako uniwersalne to myślę że będzie dobrze. Od kilku lat tylko w nich jeżdżę i w upały też się zdarzało - mi się grzeje raczej górna część ciała. Do tych spodni jeszcze warto dodać przeciwdeszczowe over trousers (te wojskowe pseudo gore) i będzie ok.
Martwiłyby mnie opony na taką podróż 😁

Not sure, obviously it’s not a sprint, so need to pace yourself to last the duration of the race.
