I must’ve watched hours and hours of motorcycle reviews on UA-cam but this is the most objective, well presented review I’ve ever watched. King regards from Barcelona!
I think I was saying the same all the way a round. Notice a lot skipping the course where you got stuck after the start. I was on the orange loud ktm 950. Good vid!
Fair play to you bud. I've got the AS version so I know the sort of weight we're talking about. I would definitely have pulled/broken something - largely irrelevant due to the ensuing cardiac arrest. Well done.
Bloody impressive would be the understatement of the year! Bravo Zulu/Well Done! (Reminded me of that Mad Mick fellow from Australia MVDBR.) IF I ever fell on my head and tried that enduro type riding on my 2017 DCT it would have been paddle shifted most of the time. Again, Good Show Sir!! Fm 🇨🇦 👍
Well done. It's an awesomely capable bike that you can then ride home on comfortable. Love my es manual and ride her in similar places...loves to be dirty...and yup, heavy as a battleship
Kinda don't compare because the T is in the 700 class. 100 lbs lighter, thinner, nimble, easier for maintenance. AT has to much cosmetics. I liked it when hauling lots of gear and on highway riding in the rain and wind. Better for a passenger.
Because you got stuck where you did me and about 5 others all thought it was left at that section and ended up going through the tape 😆😆😆 well done man it was an effin epic day I was on the black ktm 990r then I ended up having to come back down the hill where the que was cos an enduro bike stopped right in front of me and I lost all traction 🙈 and still waiting for them to update the results as 4 of my laps my transponder didn't bloody work lol but 100% doing it again next year 👌
You’re a braver man than me!, I did the mick extance experience in wales on a 250 and I was absolutely knackered. Well done. I must remember not to buy a second hand bike off you.😂
An absolutely awesome video. Well done to you. Very hard work and you did it on that bike. I would only have joined you on a 250cc. You have taken that bike and proven that it is possible. It is a truly energy draining exercise, and you first time did it. Just imagine if you did it more and more. You would become so strong and the bike would become so light. Pushing the bike and yourself through the boundary. Well done,, great job 👍 🏍️ 🏍️🏍️🏍️
You show in your video a lot of courage. This is excellent, That was hardcore. I have the same AT, i'm definately thanking you because i'll not try this ;)
Brilliant! Had to subscribe, I'm a chef, too and equally as mad. Love the fact that events are starting to cater for big boned bikes and the riders are nuts enough to have a crack. A short vid on how the DCT performed would be really interesting though it sounded like it didn't have to work too hard.
how you lot muscled them big bikes round ill never know, i was completely broken just riding a little beta lol you passed me in your vid 🏁awesome vid, awesome weekend, you gonna come back for dawn to dusk ?
@@thechefonhisbike finished watching rn and oh my Lord you did an amazing job. So proud of you! What off road settings you were using on that user mode? Do you remember?
Mighty impressive, Chef!!! I wouldn’t even consider taking on that kind of track with my 1100 (AS DCT and a bit heavier…, not that the std version makes what you did less impressive!) - I would’ve liked to do it with my 250 though. Thanks! Very enjoyable to watch. 🏍️🇳🇴👍🏻
I own a 2021 Africa Twin just like this and I am amazed at how well you did riding this heavy pig in those conditions in your first enduro. I also own a KTM 350 EXCF and that is what I ride on tracks like this.
Well done getting the beast around with only a afew drops I know it's difficult to get used too but try standing up abit more try relaxing let the bike do the work and you will breath easier. When I first started enduro I was blowing out my backside a pro shown me techniques standing up and honestly it made such a difference too my control and body control. Well done again!
This could serve as the basis for a good horror movie! At certain points you sounded like you were being chased by Godzilla. Nevertheless, kudos to you for attempting this. P.S. DCT must suck in these conditions and type of riding, having the option to slip the clutch would have made your life easier. That's why I will be getting the standard.
He's like BATMAN, a billionaire not caring about his health or financial stability 🤣, also a pain in the ass for me 🤗 There are actually 2 allowing me breathing spaces
Looks tough as nails, especially those muddy sections! Don't wanna get stuck there with a heavy bike. I know from experience that getting such a bike out of a mud pit is an absolute pain on your own. But it also looks like an absolute blast! Wish this kind of terrain was near where I live! What kind of tires were you running?
Well done, although I’d prefer to stick with a manual. But you seemed to cope really well with the DCT, particularly on some of those longer climbs where other big bikes got stuck…👍
One word: RESPECT! 👍
I’m amazed you weren’t the only one crazy enough to ride a big adventure bike. Well done!👏🏼
bravo!👍
Well done! Representing the DCT riders! That track was beyond me. Love the photo at the end of the award.
That was amazing what you did with the DCT and that on your first enduro ride. Respect man
Appreciate it!
Incredible! You rock!!!
I must’ve watched hours and hours of motorcycle reviews on UA-cam but this is the most objective, well presented review I’ve ever watched. King regards from Barcelona!
That was just awesome!!!! Thumbs up a many.
Man... that's some serious riding! I don't think I'd even consider taking my AT on a course like that. Excellent job!
In all honesty, I had no idea what to expect. But just just went into it at hardcore level 😂
Terrific well done there it looked brutal. Keep up the commentary. Brilliant!!
Good job. What a workout 💪
Congratulations!!!
Well done, respect strong man.
Massive well done. Course looked brutal.
So much fun! Thank you
This is brilliant, and fare play to you for doing it on the big lad. 😁😁👍👍
Hats off to ya bud.
A big ol unit like a twin.
RESPECT SON❤❤❤👍👍👍💯💯💯🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Second time round on this video. M can’t stress enough.
Well done awesome ride you did really fantastic 👍👍🏍️
well done! I knew you will make that climb at 13:20. Really happy for you and the big bike :). I ride 1190 Adventure and i know that feeling :D
Respect !👍💪
HOLY SHIT MAN!!!! Very impressive!!!!
Cracking job! I was out of breath just watching 😂
3rd time on this video now. Makes great Tv mate. Really well done on this track on that bike.. You the Chef. 👍
I think I was saying the same all the way a round. Notice a lot skipping the course where you got stuck after the start. I was on the orange loud ktm 950.
Good vid!
Was a hell of an event
@@thechefonhisbike much harder than last year.
That was AWESOME! Well done and congratulations! You earned that award for sure. Ride safe…🙏🏻🏍🙏🏻👏🏻🤘🏻🙌🏻🤙🏻💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
Thanks! You too!
That's hardcore. Subscribed.
Ah thanks man
Way to get out there on that big bike in those conditions! Great video, thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the kudos 😊

wow amazing, well done. that took got guts!
Thank you very much!
Massive kudos to everyone doing that on big adventure bikes, some going that !!
That was great, a bit like the beach landings in saving private Ryan!
Man, your great for doing that!
I appreciate that!
DCT baby! I have one too. Big best but it does its thing!
Awesome! I have to join one of these some day😁
applause from me mate - tough place for such a long range weapon
Ты лучший 👍 молодец мужык ✌️
Amazing riding keep doing a good work I really like your video

Whaou well done

The most impressive vids are always those showing these big bikes being hustled in some serious dirt.
Well done. It's an awesomely capable bike that you can then ride home on comfortable. Love my es manual and ride her in similar places...loves to be dirty...and yup, heavy as a battleship
Nice battle! I do miss my AT a little bit now that I have a T7. Nice machine. Can't have them all unless we become wealthy.
Very true!
HOW DO THEY COMPARE? are you happy? share details!!!!

My pleasure
Love the sound
Fuel diablo exhaust no baffle, and cheap as chips

You know what, I think I've earned that. Cheers
Foolish Mortal! That was fun to watch.. good job brother.
Lol, you said it 🤣
fantastic. have same bike. same conditions as in the rainy pacific north west in the us.
Huge respect! Sold my ATAS DCT because it’s just too big and heavy. What you did was utterly amazing!
Thanks for the kudos man

King Kong has nothing on you. Awesome job!
WOW you did superwell .. hi from italy
Thanks, I definitely learnt alot
Awesome! Slip sliding everywhere on a light bike is a challenge but on a big bike…WOW!
Cheers for the kudos, was a testing ride
well done mate, i drive the same machine and same color, tried a small enduro once and it beat the crap out of me

How I love this video, I have a DCT too that I am trying to take to its maximum potential too! :) (still learning but that's my idea)
Great job man! Loved to watch every second. I think though I’d pass this track :-)
Thanks man, was a definite eye opener for me
Brutal
You done a great job on the big beast, I nearly got a hernia watching you lift it on that hill. I bet it was a relief to so the finish line.
I'm a gluton for self punishment, so I did 3 laps. Might have even tried 4 if I hadn't got soooooo dam tired

Sorry to let you down buddy, I'm not really a Chef. My mates give the nickname cause I can make a meal out if anything 🤣
@@thechefonhisbike I was wondering how you managed to get the time off, lol.
❤💪
Good job. AT sounds great in action. Surprised to see that the automatic did just great.
The bike didnt have short of breath
My thoughts exactly
Good effort 👍
thank you very much
10:58 "Hold my beer" moment 👍👍😃
Absolutely we'll done I'd have fallen off umpteen times you drove that big old thing really well your a fit lad
You mispelt fat 😄👍
Damn, i don't know... I think you would be better off with a manual rather than a DCT, but you did magic with that big heavy bike anyway 😁😁😁😁😁
Dang good job. Reason why I don't ride one is I can't pick it up! Hard enough picking up my crf450L in a bad situation!
Yes she can be a hand full, adrenaline is your friend
Impressive on such a big bike! ! No guts! No glory!

You can do it!
@@thechefonhisbike finished watching rn and oh my Lord you did an amazing job. So proud of you! What off road settings you were using on that user mode? Do you remember?
@@iRedseven I basically turn everything off, power delivery to max, engine breaking low, gravel on, everything else off. And sport mode 3
That was fkn beast mode. That needs a year of power lifting and cardio 6 days a week to pull off 2 hours of that in one sitting!!!
I would do that on my DRZ400, but not on my Africa Twin, hats off to you sir!!!

It was an amazing experience
24:20...
I like how they all helped you out.
Yeah small bikes have different rules, 😵💫
You're ready for the 24hrs dawn to dusk race then, would be good to see more big bikes there. And night race is awesome

If by unit you mean shaped like Santa 🎅, your not far wrong 😂
@@thechefonhisbike lmao nice. Damn good show either way!
Main thing is you had fun.
I really did, got sweet lamb baja this weekend.video to follow
Great pilot, is not easy at all with big heavy bike
I can't believe someone is doing this with a BMW GS Adventure, this is insane.
He's like BATMAN, a billionaire not caring about his health or financial stability 🤣, also a pain in the ass for me 🤗
There are actually 2 allowing me breathing spaces
Thanks, nice bike by the way. You choose the right color for this bike and it looks even better when it's dirty.
Chef have you find any situation where you could not do something that a manual bike was able to do?
Just wheelies, but that’s me not the bike as I’ve seen many others do it. If anything the auto makes life easier in hard situations

Mutig mein Freund... zweifellos hattest du das stärkste Bike, aber auch das schwerste. Ich würde mich das nicht trauen. Respekt.
Wow great hard work but I’m sure it was worth the experience…
Anything that's hard to do is worthy of the experience. NO PRESSURE, NO DIAMOND
great job that bud, fair play to the geezer on the gs but he couldn't make the hill ! did you get up there in auto or did you use manual?
Left in auto the whole race, never steered me wrong
