We found TET to be too much of a tarmac in places, that being said our route it’s probably 80% TET. We are in Serbia right now on another adventure - awesome place 😍

@@krycekADV how do you plan your routes, osmand and then prefer unpaved roads or ?

We normally go Balkan’s may/June we found this to be best time for it

gpx.studio with help of state lite view, although this can misfire. Google maps etc - planning a route take is few days and we still have some mistakes. With Serbia we stated with TET and whenever TET was on the black stuff we tried alternative route if possible. What bike are you getting?

Thanks 👍 It is quite difficult in places Welsh TET, especially on bigger bike. I have narrow rims on my 790, which allows me to run more aggressive tyres. On a stock rims I always believed in mitas E-09 front and back, front isn’t great compared to my current knobbly tyre Mitas E-13 but if you have to stick to OEM tyre 09 isn’t too bad. As far as rear goes 09 is pretty good, even when compared to the knobbly tyres - grippy on the rocks and it has a lot wider contact patch when compared to the narrow rim. What I would recommend is spend some money to replace the front wheel, which is great upgrade over stock tyre choice - if you can afford it. You would be surprised what good tyre does in mud compared to ADV tyres, rear wheel is a lot more expensive and the difference isn’t so big as compared to the front. Sorry I went off in direction of wheels as opposed to tyres - but have a think about it, you will not regret it 😅

Thanks 👍 I’ve spoke to Rob (it’s him in the jacket) he said it’s just a jacket - no pockets for armour. He is wearing some sort of mesh Knox armour under his - maybe have a look at something like that? Then you can use pretty much any jacket over it.

Hi, mine is probably with the highest millage - 22k miles. I had all sorts of problems with it, all the usual early 790 faults: leaked rear shock, faulty front brake lines, foggy display etc. I’ve also had a cam wear issue that a lot of people experience, as well as lamp fixing points broke off on mine. Usual KTM stuff I would say, or any bike that gets ‘abused’ on regular basis. Maybe apart from the cam wear (which ktm should really do something about tbh). With saying all that I wouldn’t change the bike - no alternative at the moment as far as my needs are concerned.

You are probably better to stick to TET - our route wasn’t that much different and it had few dead ends. With TET you will have much more confidence

This was our first trip to Serbia, we are planning another one this year - to finish what we had planned the first time. This is mostly our route - not TET. We found that Serbian TET as much as nice in some places, has way too much asphalt for our liking.

Dzieki - druga część będzie szybko, jest prawie gotowa. Motocykle myliśmy głownie przez chłodnice które były zapchane i lekko się grzały przez to 🤷‍♂️

Bardziej że trzeba było w końcu ten zrobić bo zaraz nowy materiał będzie 😂
