It's crazy that as of right now the game sits at 4.8 stars. I expect that to drop significantly in the next 24 hours. It just astounds me that people buy this game....look at the first few minutes and the graphics and then write stuff like best game ever 🤣....thank you guys for your always honest review and for saving me 30 bucks ❤️
You're welcome :) And yeah, I'd be very surprised if the score didn't start dropping once people got past the initial thrill of heading Red Right Hand in the intro...
from looking at this video, the models looks better than the ones in the walking dead game. Same with environment. I had a feeling gameplay would turn out this way though.
@@6DOFReviews that seems to be a thing with majority of those "experience" games. I bought the star wars 3 pack for my quest but was bored playing the 1rst episode. I was told the later ones are more action packed.
I purchased after the fall, after your last review. its quite good but the pcvr struggles on my 6800xt. The quest 2 version actually looks quite good though
you should try into the radius, compound, runner, moss 2, iron man or resident evil 4. Other than those games my quest 2 has sat on a chair in my place. Overall I think majority of the library is lacking in either quality or being an unfinished product.
Would be funny if a psvr2 exclusive game based on The Wire was made. Not only is it one of my favorite tv-series with great writing but then it could be said that The Wire is a system seller instead of everybody complaining about the wire of psvr2 like now. 🤪
Would love to see a VR game based on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Fun characters with some crazy hilarious episodic stories and fun combat involving all kinds of monsters, weaponary and magic.
Thought we were done with games only being three to four hours long..... I mean if they were mind-blowing I could see them as still being worthwhile, but that's an exception not the standard these days.
The Mandalorian AkA Space Dad Simulator! You would go on several bounties and all would have cool interactions with Grogu, you and the bad guys, even scripted help by Grogu keeping it fresh. Easy to dlc with new bounties, vehicles, more beskar stuff and apperances of Boba \o/ good review
Thanxs for the review...really ashame that it didn't deliver....had high hopes...what i really would like is to be in the series of friends...Just to be in the café and seeing it with my own eyes...but i think the x-files or csi would do great in vr
Nothing disappointed me more than to hear this review for a game I've so been looking forward to... I don't know what to do!!! I want to visit the realm, but also don't want to encourage crap like this with money!!! I think I'll miss.
It's unfortunate that it's so lacking. The first 15 minutes actually give a great impression, with the environment graphics and Nick Cave blasting, it sets your expectations high, but then...it's downhill all the way.
Maybe if it is on sale then I'll pick it up just because I love the show. It's disappointing as a fan of the show because had they at least added some choices to make and them having an effect on the story it could've been a little better. Even the one choice you do make in the beginning not having an effect on the story is a big disappointment.
Can there be multiple save files? The game is technically for everyone but my brother is the biggest fan of the show, and I don’t want to start playing and there only be 1 save file
Aware of but never watched the show. Fairly impressive visuals for the Q2, but high price coupled with limited game play is a big no. Lets hope all these studios Meta snapped up that haven't produced a single thing post acquisition, have Q3 quality wow titles in the oven, as it's now more common than not to see a disappointing offering
To be fair, February was pretty good for Quest! We got Barbaria, The Light Brigade, and Drop Dead: The Cabin! But yeah, we're hopeful that Q3 will launch with some great titles :)
If are being marketed as a peaky blinders experience rather than game I think they wouldn't get as much bad reviews with that it's some good immersion but not a great game
I like experiences like that. For me, they are as fun as visiting a museum, but better.

Personally I only trust steam reviews, to some extent. Most reviews in other stores are mostly nonsense.
Damn it! I had a feeling...
I so so wanted this to be good...
Just give me an 8 hour + campaign on my quest,
that i can sink som time in..

The environments are great, but yeah, the gameplay is shallow and short :(

It is thanks to “experiences” like this game, that my quest 2 has been in its case since September.

and few other games, maybe 15-20% of the library.
I’d easily add The Light Brigade to that list, and - if you have a buddy to play with - The Cabin. We’ve reviewed both games and they’re a lot of fun.
@@shinobusensui9395 thanks for the suggestions. Compound runner and iron man I totally missed.

Thank you for your review! I was eager to buy this one but after watching the video I’m not going to.
You're welcome, and thanks for commenting. Yeah, it's hard to recommend for all but the most hardcore fans of the show, unfortunately!

I was expecting a like Vader Immortal level game. Dang, that's a shame. Yikes, it's paid! Really good reviews.
Thanks! And glad you found the review useful!

True, but also - if it’s being sold as an ‘experience’, they should shave off at least half that price. $30 is too much for what it offers.
They all seem Peaky Blind
Love the series but will have to give this a miss.
Absolutely understandable.
If I smoke a virtual cigarette will I get virtual lung cancer.
Absolutely ;)
Too pricey for 3hr game play nope
To be honest, if they were an incredible 3 hours, I'd have rated it higher. But shallow AND short? Not a good combo.
Disappointing, I was expecting much more from this and I love story-based games but this is not good enough.
thank you for this vid...i will pass.

Hard pass
Understandable!
It's really starting to show how stupid Meta thinks it's VR customers are.
Well, Maze Theory isn't a Meta studio, so in this particular case, we can't lay the blame on Meta :) The game's also available on Steam and on Pico 4.
Squid games, because.. games. And the fear of death in-game lol
