Hi, mate. Great interpretation of an absolute masterpiece. Nice to hear someone who agrees with me that Sonny Boy played mainly 3 blows rather than 2 draws. Sonny Boy actually used Echo Vamper harps (which were essentially Marine Band 364s with a different badge). I’ve just finished a major project to retune a complete set of these (from low A up to regular Bb) and they are gorgeous. I’ve been told that the old reeds they used on the 50s Echo Vampers were of a superior quality to the modern ones, because they were made from old church bells, but it might just be the usual legend/folklore that we harp players love.

Ive noticed with a Low C harmonica it takes time to get a sound out of the 4th hole. Like I have to build speed in order to get a sound. How do you do it so quickly?

Hi Liam, bought a diatonic harmonica a few days ago and now 2 draw sounds like a constipated trumpet. Have let it dry and there is no visible damage/junk on the reeds, any advice? Thanks!

Hi There.
There is nothing wrong with your harmonica, 2 draw is different from all other draw notes. Try to inhale more gently than usual, that should work. Don't worry though, the topic of 2 draw skills is well covered on UA-cam. Best of luck. Terry
