    I am SO thankful for your support and generosity in laying this out for me. I’ve bought a Suzuki Manji Low C just to try to learn this piece of art. Please keep up the amazing work

    This must be the most accurate guide to playing this great piece of music by a legend. I've seen other videos, but they just don't sound right. Thanks again Liam!

    Thank you Liam for having the right harp for the job....I use a 365 Marine band harmonica 14 hole that works great.

    Excellent lesson as always Liam. It really is useful, as you do, to have the tabs at the side as you are playing and talking. Thank you

    Getting myself a Hohner 364/24 in the mail tomorrow can’t wait to learn this one on it! Got it on the regular C but it’s not the same.

    Thanks for this lesson...I've seen the video where he plays it with the harmonica length ways on, he was something else...I love the version he did with the Yardbirds as well...

      Haha, I wish I could've seen him live. Although you wouldn't want to meet him in a dark alleyway. Heard rumours he was a nasty piece of work!

      LearnTheHarmonica.com Lol,I can't imagine him being very patient,he did say the English want to play the blues so badly and they do play it so badly.From what I've read he taught Howlin' Wolf to play harp...

    Great lesson, Liam! You're lip pursing here, right, using the tongue to articulate (slap, etc.)?

    • @Learntheharmonica
      @Learntheharmonica  5 років тому

      Hi Dov Landzbaum, I think I did a bit of both. Sometimes I tongue block the lower notes, sometimes not. I have a little video I did as part of a live stream where I talk about tongue blocking the lower notes, you may find it interesting: ua-cam.com/video/2VXGsHTahGQ/v-deo.html

    Hi Liam. Great lesson thanks man, I’m working hard on it and I’m determined to get this down. Have you got any links to the original that’s played this way please? Or have you recorded a full version of it yourself?
    You said it’s on an album called ‘Bring it on Home’ but there’s no ‘Bye Bye Bird’ on the SB Album of that name.

    I’ve seen it’s shown as a Low C harp, and other sites list it as a Low D harp… can anyone clarify what key it is? I don’t want to buy the wrong key.

    • @Learntheharmonica
      @Learntheharmonica  Рік тому

      You can play it on either, I love the sound of a low C. You only need a specific key if you’re playing along to a backing track or other musicians. If they are playing in G, you want a low C. If they are in A, you want a low D.

    Hello Liam. Very cool lesson, sounds really cool. Is it a 364 harmonica you're playing? I am about to buy one, but I cant figure out the difference between a marine band 364 and a marine band 364 soloist. Is it the same harpe? BR Michael from Denmark.

    • @Learntheharmonica
      @Learntheharmonica  4 роки тому

      Hi Michael, this is a Marine Band 364. The Soloist has a different note layout, like a chromatic without the button (theharmonicacompany.com/product/marine-band-364-soloist-harmonica/?v=79cba1185463). Hope this makes sense :) Cheers. Liam
