Once again, an informative and accessible lesson! Thanks Prof Yesudian! We would love to listen to you share some challenging cases that you’ve encountered!
Thanks for your kind comments. I usually share challenging cases when I lecture in Chennai. This was in MMC and SRMC colleges a couple of times a year - not been there since last Feeb though. Once it restarts we can hopefully have a Zoom link so that others can join in too.
Great teaching as always! Very interesting topic and I've seen a few patient with hair loss in clinic so this is very helpful thank you!! 😃😃 also great incorporating your previous videos in the talk! 👍
Thanks Ramya. Unfortunately we do not use PRP in the UK so I do not know much about it Im afraid. Think dermatologists in India and the US tend to use the latest interventional therapies before it comes to the UK.
Yes, tend to use it mainly for males. Can use it in early male pattern alopecia or after hair transplant surgery too. Usually needs to be continued long term. Have not used it for females.
I do not use finasteride as much as I use Minoxidil so not sure how long we would need to use it. Like Minoxidil it probably needs to be continued long term@@Vinodreception
I have reviewed some literature on rosemary and there seems to be benefit in a couple of studies. The evidence is quite slight which is why I have not made a video on it yet. Havent researched the others you mention Vitamin D is definitely helpful for a variety of skin conditions including hair loss and here is a video on it. ua-cam.com/video/I0Qg7IjpFFQ/v-deo.html @@Vinodreception

Its difficult to know which drug is working when two are used together. It may be useful to chat about it when you meet the dermatologist as they may be able to advice on whether one medication are both are required. They both have different mechanism of action, so they may be a useful combination. @@edittz289
