Beef liver and sardines. I've been doing that because of how my grandma brought us up. She's 99 years old with sharp memory and good health.
Whenever I forget to eat sardines and liver I notice my brain not performing amazingly well.

Everyone wants a quick fix, indeed. If only it were that simple! It's never that simple. The important things in life don't happen easily, nor do they come overnight. Patience and consistency are required...and many people just want to stick their fingers in their ears as soon as they hear that personal work is involved lol. I get it! I'm not saying simple things are easy. But they certainly are worth it!

This is so true Jennifer, Diet actually makes every thing of us. i've been eating real food for almost always, only some rare times i go out for food, only REAL food, stress free life and exercise is everything you'll want for perfect hair, skin, overall health.
I wanna share something with u if it interests you... :)
When i first went to the college, all of my new friends were saying what do u do to your skin, hair, there's a different glow, its beautiful, i really had no answer because i used to do literally nothing, i not even put sunscreen so religiously back then, i washed my face with water only haha, but then over years when i saw people always eating junk food, processed food, packaged and fast food, i realized that what i've been doing to my skin and hair and body is eating fresh and real food, always eating green leaves, never skipped a single meal with green leaves actually, i didn;t even realize how mom had raised me making me have all the best nutrient rich diet every day, because it was our lifestyle, our way of life. Not everyone used to love real nutritious food. seriously some friends used to be so surprised and amazed of me having so much of green leaves, spinach, that they would ask me " please show me by eating those greens once" its so difficult for them because they weren't used to that !!

It’s the vitamin A retinol or Trent is vitamin A. My cousins doctor has her on a vitamin A supplement for her skin instead of having her take the harsher prescription one. However you need labs to monitor the vitamin A intake orally as it can be dangerous.

    1. If you dont like the taste of liver, freeze it in little pieces and then swallow them with water
    2. For hair growth you can also apply castor oil to the root of your hair and massage it in, I do this 2x a month
    3. Remember that hair also heavily depends on your dna-mix, I was lucky enough to get my dads thick, dark hair, while my mom is already white and her hair is very thin (they both eat the same diet)

Genes play a role; absolutely they do. However, the density and overall quality of my hair in particular (though my skin has also improved) has improved to such a noticeable degree since I’ve amended my diet-I had to speak on it. The change has been so profound. I used to suffer from horrendous scalp psoriasis for years. It bled and was painful and exhausting to manage; chronic. Through dietary changes, I’ve been able to completely eradicate that, as well as add thickness and fullness that reminds me of when I was 15. It’s just incredible what nutrients can do to the body.

    • @nfvjgrofgjvoldlkgvlo
      @nfvjgrofgjvoldlkgvlo 3 роки тому +14

@@JenniferMyers I like when you speak thats why Im subscribed. But if you genetically have thin hair you will for the rest of your life. The fact that you had good hair at 15 means it was your genetics that gave you good hair and then your optimal diet got rid of the disease but if your base genetics was bad hair even at 15 then there would be no way forward. You should still eat and care for yourself optimally even if you have bad genes or else it'll get even worse plus everyone deserves self love but Im just saying genes play a larger role than you acknowledged.

The trick with cooking liver that you must NOT add salt to it until it is fully cooked or else it gets stiff like rubber. It is easy to cook takes only a mere minute. Be careful as it is very watery so it will splash the oil everywhere if not dry when you start cooking it. Also prick it with a fork when done to make sure it cooked through. The key is to cut/slice it thin (1/2 slices or 3/4 inch thick cubes). You can mix herbs and spices into flour (allspice, marjoram or oregano) coat the slices and fry them in shallow butter or oil for not more than a minute on each side. Perfect without a side dish. You can also fry some chopped shallots or onions or garlic (in this case you sauté 3-4 cloves chopped or sliced for 10 seconds without a lid on some oil and then add the liver cubes and fry them constantly stirring them until both onions and liver cubes are brown. When done you can add a few table spoon of water and some green herbs of the above or chopped parsley or coriander leaves +chilli flakes, cover it with a lid and let the steam derive the essential oils from the herbs. You can serve this with potato in any form (mash, fries/chips, boiled), steamed rice, barley or burghul which will give you a nice middle eastern style pilav. Or you can cut them into fries/chips size strips and fry them on sauted onions cut in semi circles. For a beef slice size of your palm you can add 1/2 a teaspoon of ground caraway seeds, a level tablespoon of paprika powder and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper and after one minute of frying add a glass of water and cover it and let it cook for 15 minutes. This is how we make it in Hungary. You can throw a couple of chopped tomatoes or fresh peppers into it and use hot paprika or whole chillies and serve it with any of the above side dishes. And there are the patés... :p

The most important thing is whether or not one believes in what they’re consuming & if they enjoy it. Plastic surgeon, Dr. Nayak has spoken at length about the fact that eating collagen does not increase collagen production in humans any more than eating kidney beans does. It all gets broken down into amino acids and transferred into the body in the same way. And in fact, fiber filled amino acids breakdown into usable amino acids faster than meat. Bone broth may feel nourishing because it is homemade and warm, and, it is no healthier than a colorful quinoa and vegetable soup. Quinoa is full of amino acids that truly give the body a spectrum of vitamins and minerals needed to nourish & restore. Make of that what you will, it helped me to understand amino acids and collagen production from a scientific level. Also to understand that protein raises insulin, imagine that. I hope this frees someone from feeling like they need animal products to be beautiful & have rich skin and hair. Take care.

Everyone has different hair texture. I've played around with "curly girl" "no poo" but my happy place is shampoo/condition 2-3x a week that contain silicones but no sulfates b/c I have hard water. On occasion I use a clarifying shampoo to remove buildup, and a pre shampoo hair mask. That works for me but my hair is super thick, dense, curly, course.

Hi ! Jennifer hope you are doing fine and you look amazing as always💜
You inspired me to use tretinoin n i must say it was best decision that i shifted from pricy retinol serums to medical grade 0.05% tretinoin simplifying my skincare routine to just cleansing , vitamin A and mosturiser at night and cleansing , mosturiser and tons of sunscreen in morning ! And it has changed my skin in just 6 months it has suited me the best !

@@cg4274 Hi! So my case was slightly different in the sense that it turns out I was having severe scalp issues (seb derm & folliculitis) so the inflammation and scratching mainly was causing my hair loss. Even though psoriasis is different, I still found it similar enough to my symptoms so I'm thinking of following Jennifer's diet and tips to both curb the issue and to re-grow out my hair. I was following them before but I think I'll have more success now that I've gotten treatment. Are you experiencing hair loss as well?

I love your philosophy and I also try to apply it in my life, although I do consume some supplements and even some drugs in an attempt to "biohack" my body. I think you have genetics on your side indeed, but as you said it's not everything... I'm 40 now, and have about 25% of my hair turned gray, especially on the the sides, I don't mind it but I think I got to delay it a bit with diet and supplements (by the way, no wrinkles yet, thanks tretinoin since 35 years old)... I also (I think because of you) incorporated beef liver to my diet, I consume about 30g a day cooked in a vegetable soup I make for dinner everyday, it's enough to get the daily recommended vitamin A, that I swear by and think it's as important as vitamin D actually, or even more... By the way, studies show that liver consumption increases our serum levels of all-trans-retinoic-acid, which is actually tretinoin which we apply topically, and that will have an effect on our whole body, not only on our faces... I'm not trying to lecture you, sorry, it's just that I like sharing information, and I also learn a lot from you... I think you forget to talk about copper, beef liver is the highest source of cooper, which is also as good as zinc for hair and skin - we cannot make collagen and elastin without copper -, and also an antioxidant... Cheers.

Hello Jennifer! I am so happy to see you back making these videos again!! If you get a chance can you speak on how to focus and be disciplined in life. I have a problem with overthinking a lot and bcuz of that I have hard time focusing on tasks and work. I think too much and do little, ultimately resulting in procrastination and lack of discipline. And then I get anxiety and rush things last minute. I have a horrible feeling doing this and I know this is bad, but how do I change this habit? It will be very useful to me if you can share your wisdom on that! Thank you!!! 😊❤️❤️

You look AMAZING! By watching your videos I've decided to start using tretinoin and I've been using it for over a year now. Everyone I meet compliments me about my skin, no one says I'm 30, people usually give me 25. Some say I look 23. Of course there's a lot of genetics involved, but I definitely believe that all the minor tweaks tretinoin made to my skin, such as evening the tone, correcting surface issues and reducing pores has improved me looks SO MUCH! I look at the mirror and it's almost surreal how many of the things I didn't like about my skin are now gone and it's so satisfying to feel good about it!
