I worked several years in an animal shelter and I've seen birds with similar problems. I still believe, that having a friend would really help Gereon. I know that you care for him a lot and are doing your best, to keep him entertaint. It just isn't good for parrots to live alone, without other birds. In nature, they are part of a huge flock and communicate with each other all day. They are so intelligent, because they have to work hard to find food and survive. In captivity, it's nearly impossible to replace that and avoid boredom. I know it might feel like having a bigger responsibility and more work. But in my opinion having a at least a pair of birds is the only right way. They deserve it.

i have a green cheek and when i adopted her i didnt intend to keep her alone. i was wondering if you had heard of people not being able to get green cheeks to get along. like if i were to adopt similar aged conures, would there be a risk of them fighting or not getting along? id work with them of course and give it ample time but i KNOW im not enough for her. it took her 30 sec to figure out all her toys. i just worry that if they do not ever get along, i'll have 2 cranky tropical chickens to entertain.
I second that. Parrots and most corvids should never be alone for long.
I believe this for kittens as well. I know cats have a wide range of temperament, but kittens usually just want to play and socialize. I found it easier having 2 kittens who can play together, keep each other company, and take each other's energy out instead of a single kitten who mangled my sofa and go for the kill with feet because it was bored to death.
I prefer REAL content - happy, sad. Anything straight from Micarah.

The gas station attendant coming up and asking "are you okay?" is so absurdly wholesome. I'm really glad you're doing better and congrats on finding someone you like enough to call a boyfriend!
I thought that was so nice of him. Not asking for anything, not over-staying. Just a quick: "Hey, I know who you are, I worry for you. How are you? Just know that I'm around if you need and I care. Bye" He made sure to check on her while trying to be as delicate and unobtrusive as possible. Very sweet.

There is a very easy solution for the Birdy! Smear persistently a green paste on him, so he doesn't see red. Birds pick on red. This is how I saved my canary bird. We used granoforin - a medicine for sore throat. You will have to figure out what suitable product you have in the USA

Oh no! Poor birdy. As the internet probably has informed you birds typically pick their feathers due to stress but I’m glad you’re getting him to the vet. I hope you get it figured out. Also, parrots in sweaters are cute and that might help deter him for a little bit if you can convince him to wear one.
Yes! Sweaters are cute. Also, it’s possible he could’ve been stressed when you got a boyfriend and felt like his territory/relationship with you was threatened! Hopefully he gets better!!
It could also be that the new house doesn't have as much humidity, especially during the winter months! My family had a parrot that would only pluck during the winter so we got him a humidifier and it completely solved the problem

I also have a plucker and a few things I’ve found that help keep his beak busy aside from foraging bowls are giving him rolls of paper towels and cardboard boxes to shred, hiding treats in egg crates stuffed paper worms, and giving him a plate of loosely chopped fruits and veggies to forage through. They also make sweaters that can help deter them especially if they’re going after their skin. Sometimes you can do everything right and they still pluck, unfortunately. Best of luck!
Yea seeing as he made progress because he was busy searching for seeds in a bowl, it sounds like it may help to have foraging toys, where he can chew and search for things. Love her little friend and love that she was taking him to the vet and such, you can tell she cares about him which I love ❤

I've always felt Micarah is the Yin Yang counterpart to Bernadette Banner. Where Bernadette will make a carefully produced instructional video, Micarah will be chaotic and going in all different directions. They're both beautiful, Bernadette being classically beautiful in her timeless Gibson girl way. Micarah being beautiful in her barbie/ conventional way. Both wonderful women creating a wonderful garment but the means to the end is like night ans day

I have that too, as a kid I was also socially shamed out of plucking my eyelashes (honestly, thank goodness) and so moved on to my legs and armpits as more socially acceptable targets. CBT didn't really help, but I have managed to cut down on the frequency I do it! Hoping yours doesn't bother you too much 🤗

I'm starting my new job tomorrow and my anxiety is through the roof, but it's super inspiring to see someone so similar to me creating something and being herself.
I'm reaching a stability in my health were my drive to create and search out inspiration has returned, I even drew for the first time in years today! As always, her videos tend to find me right when I need them the most.

I like both sides of the dress for different reasons. The red side looks gorgeous and confident, the pink side makes it more cute and fun. I think the simple dress looks great since your paring it with the fluffy jacket. If you want the dress itself to have more to it, maybe try making some sort of belt, corset or something flowy to wrap around. Maybe a heart belt if you want to keep the valentines theme.
Also thought it was really cool that the gas station attendant and the little girl come up to you. It was really wholesome.

Hey, try getting Gereon a bird lamp. I know some birds get stressed when their owners are away, or don't have any toys, but I know you are a good bird owner. The only thing I can guess for trying is more direct sunlight without exposing him to the cold. Worst case scenario, you make him a little cone to avoid plucking, but this isn't entirely uncommon. I have a friend with a cockatiel who does this, and she makes cute little collars for him for each season.

Aaand I think I like videos that are true, including the sad parts, but it might be because you make light of every sad situation, like when you took pictures and videos in an actual courtroom. I loved when your parents accompanied you while you were saying that you are charged with "impersonating a celestial being". I sensed the sadness, but still in a positive way. But I actually have the damned habit of twirling my hair, which costs me some hair loss too, but not as excessive, bad habit of wanting something in my hands that do not wish to stay still, so when I have nothing I'm left with hair on my head. And I've been like this for a very long time. But I never really explored it, because it never posed as a great inconvenience.
I think I have this same issue too 😂 except mine has cost me a lot of front hair. One of my new year resolutions is to stop but boy has it not been easy!

I've been struggling too. I've found that keeping one of those little fidget toys at my desk really helps. It looks like a 6-sided dice, but with buttons and stuff.
