Thank you so much! My middle finger on my left hand is very
painful and locked up in the morning and at times during the day. X-ray shows nothing wrong so Dr is no help! I will try your therapy!
Thank ypu so much ,from Canada 🇨🇦😊
Thank you , I have tried to get your video but it never arrives in my email. What am I doing wrong?
Thank you for your advice, as usual it is very informative and very practical.
Cheers. I wish my glass of vino helped arthritis!!!! Helen from Croatia 😂
Your exercises are so helpful, and today’s are a real gift. I can’t thank you enough.
At 82 yrs I don't have finger arthritis, but I do squeeze a hand exercise ball in both hands every morning. It has helped me to open jar lids. I will be adding your joint stretches daily. Thanks for video! Actually have bought your book, but haven't cracked it open yet. Looks kind of imposing it's so thick. 😀
Great work, it's important to be able to get those jars open! I'm pleased to hear you'll be adding these to your routine. Thank you so much for ordering my book - I know there's a lot of information packed in, but it's broken down into small sections which are hopefully more easily consumable!
Thank you Will. Your exercises are so simple and explanation so cear that it is a joy to follow you. I caught your video at the right time when my hands are feeling a little tired at the end of the day. Thank you once again for helping out oldies like me I am 72 yrs old and follow most of your wonderful exercises. God bless you.
Yeah. He needs an over 70's series.😊
I am so thankful to you for you videos that are so very helpful!! Will this work to help with neuropathy too?
Thank you so much for your kind comment, it's great to know you've find value in my videos. I'm so pleased this video came at the right time for you, I hope it proves beneficial.
Thank you Will! I’m 73 & this is just what I need to help my arthritic hands 😊💖
I hope it proves beneficial for your hands!
I have problems with mobility in several fingers due to gout. I am finding these exercises help, thanks
Thank you it is helpful
Any words of wisdom for those of us who have "trigger" fingers? Thanks for all you share with everyone.
Cortisone shot...it works
I would like to know as well. I've been going to hand therapy for my trigger finger for several months. They've done ultrasound therapy, hand exercises but my finger still gets locked in place at times. I really don't want to get an injection. So anything will help.
We asked...and you delivered! Thanks Will!❤
I try my best!
As always you come to our rescue. Just what I needed. Thanks
So pleased my video came at the right time for you!
At age 84, I've started having some strength and mobility issues in my hands just in the past couple of years. In addition to these exercises I hope I can get myself to play keyboard music regularly again, and possibly also classical guitar -- both neglected over the past decade. I imagine musical-instrument playing helps preserve flexibility and strength both. Also, the exercises you show here are greatly appreciated!
Thanks for this. Would love to see more of the same focussing on the wrist.
Thank you for your suggestion, I've added it to my list for future videos!
Hello Will,
WOW. This is great because our focus is always on the other body parts and neglecting the hands. Thank you so much for this video. Just yesterday I was experiencing pain in my left hand and trying this exercises may be what I needed. 😊❤.
I hope this proves beneficial for you!
Bless You for this video! I am 73 with bad arthritis in my hands. Your exercises are awesome and I have begun to feel better already after using your suggestions. Thank You so much. And greetings from an expat in Thailand.
I'm so pleased to hear you're already experiencing the benefits of these exercises - I'm sending best wishes to you in Thailand!
Great tips! Please do one for feet ( and ankle) mobility and strength 🙏🏼
Thank you for addressing our problems. Above 50 or 55yrs
I am so thankful for this video and thank you Will for helping. Wanted to add that doing this in a bowl with warm water definitely helps a lot.
I started hand arthritis at 40, and 20 years ago the gp just recommended alkaline diet. We've come a long way since then, and these are great exercises. I further the pincer exercise by moving my thumb down the joints of each finger to further extend the thumb.
Thank you for the information. I suffer from osteoporosis and osteoarthritis and I am 73 years old Woman. I noticed the pain in both my thumbs after Christmas as I was making lots of candy, cookies and special treats which I boxed up for six families so I was decorating cookies and chopping things up and really over using my hands for a period of three weeks or so to get all the amount I needed done for Christmas. The pain never goes away since then and it throbs constantly. I will ask my doctor for an x-ray because the pain is so bad, and I have so many other health issues that this is one that I do not want as I need to use my hands to care for my daughter’s baby and one on the way. I usually cook for their family because she has bad pregnancies so this Pain has only come on me on both hands since all the work I did for the Christmas treats and it does not ever let up and is constant and I would score about a 9 out of 10 always. I will try these exercises as it’s such a strong burning horrible feeling that it’s really interfering with my daily life. Thank you for your videos and I will continue to follow you as I appear to be very useful. It’s interesting that I’ve only just had this issue start since all the Christmas cooking I did for all those families, and before that I had no pain in my thumb in the area as you describe at all, and they’re both hands are as painful as each other. Thank you once again and I will try and do all I can to rid myself of this Pain, kind regards from Australia. 🇦🇺
Thank you. Extra thank you for. "If it causes pain avoid them"
I have a different type of arthritis Enthesitis
But increasing/restoring strength will definitely help.
You’re a good teacher. Thanks. These are helpful.
Thank you very much from one of the people who asked if you had advice on this topic. Well done.
Thank you for this video! I’m 70+ years and love to crochet. Recently I’ve noticed stiffness. These exercises are wonderful!!
I hope these can help to keep you enjoying your crocheting!
Thank you Wil! Great timing as I’m staring to have pain in my left wrist after yoga.
Hi Will, I have bought your book and also subscribe to three tip Friday. Thank you for all the tips and demonstrations, they are really helpful. 4:07 However once I watched your demo I find it often difficult to find it again on UA-cam. I guess most of these exercises are in your book. What I would find really useful is if you could cross reference the demos with the page in the book. Thank you so much.
Wow, Will! What a thorough set of exercises for the hand. Years of knitting have really taken their toll, especially on the thumb joint, and I look forward to giving these a try, as I'm not anxious for injections or surgery in this part of the body. Thank you so much for this video. I have more than a few friends that I will share it with as well!
My hands really hurt and simple tasks are getting difficult. Peeling vegetables, pulling up socks, etc.
These exercises are helping. Thanks you for posting them.
My pleasure to help!
I have arthritis in my hands and most of these exercises are new to me. I was exercising along with your demonstration and will continue to work at it. Hopefully, I'll see improvement in my hands in the future! Thanks Will!
I'm so pleased to hear you're putting these to good use, I hope they prove beneficial for your hands. I'm wishing you all the best!

Hi Will, I've been doing hand exercises for carpal tunnel surgery recovery. I'll definitely be adding these to rebuild strength! Hugs from Texas. 😊
Great to hear you'll be putting them to good use, sending best wishes to you in Texas!
Thanks Will. Best tips I have across. Few things more Annoying and debilitating than arthritis in finger joints of your dominant hand. Great that you can do what you suggest without special equipment or cost and even while watching TV.
Wonderful! Thank you so much, Will 🙏
You're welcome!
Thank you very much for your reaction to my request. I follow quite a number of your suggestions ❤
Thanks for yet another great video. I have osteo Arthritis mainly in fingers and knees and shoulders.
Thank you so much, Will, for the simple exercises in your videos. I'm 57 years old, and I was wondering-are there any therapies that can completely cure gout? I've been avoiding all the foods that are bad for gout, but I still experience it, with pain in my joints almost every day.
These hand exercises are just what I need. Thank you.
Great video, Will! Especially love the rubber band extension which I've been doing almost 25 years as they sent and Workman's Compensation representative to all of us in my research office unit who spent a lot of our workdays at a computer keyboard, and this along with wrist cirles were recommended to avoid getting Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, and it worked for me! 👍
Thank you so much. I have really noticed my hands start to become weak and joints ache so this will be really helpful. Just what I needed.
I have arthritis mostly in my right hand, in between doing sets of exercises with light dumbbells, I’ve been doing some of these things, I will add in the others. Thanks!
Great to hear you'll be adding these to your routine, I hope they prove beneficial for you!
Thank you so much , great help for rehabbing from recently broken wrist, lost a lot of hand strength.
I'm sorry to hear about your broken wrist, I'm wishing you all the best in your recovery!
I had begun 0n my own to do some versions of these. Now I can do them correctly. Thank you.
Excellent - I sew, lots of cutting, pinching and smoothing fabric. Often get cramp in my fingers. I think these exercises will help me a lot. Thank you
I hope they prove beneficial to keep you enjoying your crafting!
The winter takes a toll on one's hands, I always wear leather gloves when driving as my hands get cold. These are great exercises Will thank you. Could you do a video to strengthen the wrists and elbows please?❤
Love your videos and we are loving your new book. Your exercises really work!
Hanks for sharing skills. I tried hot water before this but just used a dip method.now I have the skill. I'd like free tip news on Fridays but could not find check in box.
I really appreciate your making this video! I'm an artist, having problems getting my hands and fingers to even hold onto a paintbrush or pencil; I hope this helps. 🤞
I hope it proves helpful, to make sure you can keep producing your art!
Exercises for arthritis of the neck and lower back would also be well received, Will.
Excellent Will. Yes, I did ask for this and these exercises fit the bill entirely. Thank you.
Will, this was on time. Constantly do these workouts. I will add the towel. Finding that movement is the key to stay away from arthritis. Thanks for your help. 😊😊😊
So pleased my video came at the right time for you, it's great to hear you'll be putting these to good use!
I like the videos. And it’would be really helpful if you did a short recap at the end of each so we could see the sequence. That would help me understand the principle (e.g., strength vs mobility) and be able to do thee excises without needing to refer to my notes. Thank you
Thank you. This was just what I needed!
Excellent! Very helpful and I’m enjoying your new book.
Thank you for ordering my book, I'm thrilled to hear you're enjoying it!
Thank for some new exercises for my fingers and hands. I will try them daily. Need some ideas for wrist strength as well.
My wife has a very weak grip due to RA. She is reading your book, and I will get her to do these exercises as well.
Thank you so much Will, I will be doing these exercises daily
Great to hear you'll be fitting them into your daily routine!
Thank you so much Will. My left middle finger is arthritic and locks up. This video is what I need to relieve my symptoms.
I hope it proves beneficial for you!
Very good video for my arthritic hands! I am already doing some very similar exercises to maintain my flexibility and strength, but the last one is not one I have done. I will add it to my routine. Thank you so much for all you do!
Great to hear you'll be making this a part of your routine!
Thank You
Very helpful. My issue is from a broken bone in metacarpal joint of the thumb in addition to stiffness with age. These should be helpful.

I hope you're able to put them to good use!
This does help, thanks. Would not have thought of such micro movement to flex to finger joints - makes sense
Great to hear it was helpful!
Very useful. It will improve my handwriting too. Thank you
Great site nice our coordinator physio for helping the society and mankind keep it up regards
Thank you so much for your kind words, it's my pleasure to help!
I have progressive hand arthritis and found these exercises to be useful. Common medical advice suggests only anti inflammatory drugs which I use sparingly.
For several years, my left ring finger snaps or gets stuck when opening or closing hands. Several other fingers have started to do that. Will these exercises help with that? I plan to do these exercises to see if it helps.
I like the bullet points descriptions on the video. Well done.
Brilliant. Thank you!
Perfect ti. I am having a flare up of the arthritis in my wrists
Excellent Will. Thanks so much.
Happy to help!
Thank you so much for this helpful video. I have an annoying pain in my right middle finger and my left thumb. It started last summer now I do workouts daily and I’m using dumbells. Could it be the cause of holding dumbells?
Some days it’s worse and other days not so much and I can lift the dumbells without feeling any pain.
The excercises that you show in your video could be useful?
Thank you Will. 👍😃
Thanks very good
Thank you very helpful simple exercises
Happy to help!
Thanks
Really useful thank you
Thank you.
Thanks a tons
Hello Me.Will I love your videos.I have severe arthritis on my right side si joint, can please show some exercise for that so I don't have to take an injection.I do have somuch pain.
Thanks kanak
great exercises 😊
I enjoyed this presentation!
Good morning, thank you for the fingers exercises 😊🙏
Happy to share!
Thank you! I actually injured my thumb 3 months ago, where the thumb quickly caught the edge of a table and separated from the fingers. It got swollen and discoloured. Ever since, my thumb has given me pain. I’m unable to grip the back of my ukulele, and notice the pain when holding onto a rake and now a snow shovel…anything that involves applying pressure. I appreciate the exercises. Was able to do them with no problem, except for the elastic band one, which aggravated the thumb. Sorry for the long message. Do you think I need to get it assessed? 🤷🏼♀️
Thank you Will.
You're welcome!
These are great. ❤
Great to hear you think so!
I get cortisone shots in about 4 fingers at one or both knuckles-almost exclusively in the winter but luckily I live in Southern California so have warm dry weather for 9 months a year. CBD ointment also helps.
I now became your fan after seeing your videos
I'm so pleased to hear this - thank you
You're recommending a lot of the same exercises that a hand therapist had me do after developing De Quervain's tenosynovitis.
Great stuff!
Very useful
I’m struggling opening jars now so hopefully these exercises will help
I hope they prove beneficial to keep you opening jars with ease!
Thanks Will it will be very helpfull
Great to hear it!
This is what I was looking for.
