They surpassed themselves again. Mitch is truly an angel from above, his voice touches my soul. Scott at his absolute best. Kirstie, Matt & Kevin killed it as well that’s for sure & we shouldn’t lose sight of how much they contribute to the end result. But this song is a duet & it needed to be covered in this way. This version of the Prayer brings me almost to tears every time I hear it...I love that they kept the Italian in the song and it's a duet song by 2 male vocalist...Mitch makes it seem so easy to reach those high notes with no effort...they're all amazing but Mitch holy 💩...he sounds like an angel

Mitch's voice soared to heaven with the angels and Scott's low range is ridiculous it's so incredible. Beautiful performance.
I view this song as spiritual. Mitch's angelic voice and the under tones of Kirsten,Matt and Kevin's harmonies add to the overall feel of that. Matt's bass and Kevin's beatboxing were spot on in this arrangement. I loved your reaction as always❄❄❤thank you.

I never get tired of hearing Mitch sing anything at all, you might try his cover of Your Power. Scott sounds better in this than I've ever heard him, he needs to let this side out more often.

They’ve done to The Prayer what they did to Hallelujah, this wasn’t just a regular upgrade & we’re all thinking Grammy #4 is on its way 🤞🏻as usual you’re reaction was awesome, honestly thought you’d just have to have the Goosebumps book up for the whole thing 🤣
Hopefully it’ll be Grammy #5 and that they get nominated and win for Amazing Grace as well
How they haven't actually won a Grammy for this yet is beyond me.
Written by David Foster and Carol Bayer Sager for the 1998 movie “Quest for Camelot” originally performed by Celine Dion/Andrea Bocelli. Josh Groban also got his big break by filling in for Bocelli during award show rehearsals. A favorite for decades until PTX does their ultimate upgrade. Everybody soars but we really need more baritone Scott...in Italian or not!
I was hopping on to see if anyone mentioned this. My bf and I ended up in a huge rabbit hole because he was like no, Celine and Andrea perform it and I'm like but I know it from the movie! And it turned out we were both correct lol
Also this has got to be one of their best videos yet. I cried every time for like the first 5 times we watched it.
So weird to think this song was made for THAT movie and it just took on a life of its own. It was my second favorite song in that movie {Stand alone being my fav}.

Written by David Foster I believe. I LOVE Andrea Bocelli, he is simply amazing, and loved when he sang this with CelineDion! I have to say, PTX nailed it again! Mitch is always perfection, but I think Scott singing in Italian was beyond perfection. He completely knocked it out of the park. It's definitely another favorite!
Bravissimo! Where are those Grammys again? One each for the cinematography and lighting too! Scott and Mitch were phenomenal and Kirsty put the icing on this beautiful cake. Kevin and Matt stayed in the background and made their understated but crucial contribution to make this an all round epic performance. Grammys for everyone.
Every single member is a world class vocalist, who I have a hard time comparing them to anyone. But when Mitch has a part, it's like the best of the best.

So happy to see some of my favorite reactors get to this one. Every time I pick a favorite (was Mad World, then Amazing Grace), they come out with yet another one that surpasses themselves. They truly just get better and better.

There are a lot of people who listen to PTX Christmas songs but may have never heard any of their other covers or original songs. What with deluxe re-issues and the "Best of" album, PTX has 9 Christmas albums and right now they are all in the top 50 downloaded albums list. There are songs on the Christmas albums that are not really Christmas songs but evidently once PTX puts a song on a Christmas album it becomes a Christmas song from then on.
Mitch has the voice of an angel. I'm obsessed with this song!

The first song I heard from Pentatonix after the sing off was their duet with Lindsey Stirling singing Radioactive. It's still my favorite song of theirs.

Josh Groban & Charlotte Church did a version of this song too. I heard it performed by them at the Closing ceremony for the 2002 Winter Olympics in SLC. I really enjoy the version by Andrea & Celine as well. I think I have to give it to PTX, I like this rendition the best.

Hey Anita! I’m a big thrash metal fan. Testament, Exodus, Slayer, and Metallica are some of my favorites. I’m also a big NWOBHM fan. So bands like Saxon, Motörhead, Judas Priest, and Iron Maiden. I should’ve been born 25-30 years before I was 😆

I love the grunge bands and southern rock bands and Metallica Sound Garden and too many to list . I saw Black Sabbath after Ozzy . My granddaughter used to sing Enter Sandman to her baby brother thinking it was a lullaby . I buy all of their rock tees. You know you're doing something right when my 15 year old grandson calls and says he was listening to Nirvana
I get so frustrated when I hear the same old songs on the radio by the same artists, and I'm always wondering why they don't play Pentatonix on the radio! I have literally never heard any of their songs--even ones that are less spiritual(ish) and are more catchy/rock type songs than the Prayer. Does anyone know why? Or maybe it's just where I live (in Canada, near Toronto)? Any American Pentaholics here? Do they get air time where you live? We should start a petition or something...

Don’t get me started. I get so frustrated by this. Scott was doing an interview with a local Michigan radio guy the other day about their upcoming Christmas tour. The guy said “ well it’s the Christmas season so we can now play Penatonix music”. I mean who wrote such a stupid rule? Scott was very sweet. IBut why can’t they be played all year long?
