- Milwaukee Tools NEW FISH TAPES ARE THE ELECTRICIAN INDUSTRIES BEST! (Shock Warning)
An inside look at some brand new Milwaukee tools fish tapes from #NPS2019! These new fish tapes from Milwaukee are the electricians industries best and will shock you with how impressive they actually are! Let us know your thoughts on these fish tapes in the comments section below. - Навчання та стиль
As an electrician, the way he fed and pushed the fish tape through the raceway is almost too hard to watch
I jumped in to the comments 😂 as soon as I finished grimacing at that fishing hahaha absolutely painful my friend
Man it was so rough to watch that..lol
I read your comment before seeing that far into the video and thought you were just another troll complaining. Then I saw him do it. Wow that was absolutely cringe worthy
@@topflight408 looooooll
Glad im not the only one
Vince..... if you hold the black handle and just feed the fish tape.... goes a hell of a lot quicker
Thanks Anthony
I was waiting for someone to say it.
That's how you get them stuck
If you'r like me. You are probably hating Milwaukee tools right now. All this amazing innovation and tech in their tools and if you'r a tool guy your probably thinking like I am. "Damn I got to get this.
For me the Milwaukee obsession began with the M12 - 3/8 drive ratchet. Then I waited for Christmas in March. When I could finally get my hands on their new M-12 Stubby Impact gun. That was it. I was hooked. I went all out after that. With their M12 system. I carry their M12 ratchet, reciprocating saw, jig saw, hammer drill, 1/2 impact gun. All in my rolling tool box at work. I also have a pretty large investment at home in Dewalt XR 20 volt.
Heres' the part where I believe maybe, I need an Intervention. I have a double whammy. I am a gadget guy and a tool guy and Milwaukee is kicking some serious ass and I am seriously considering replacing my entire Dewalt tool system and getting the M18 Milwaukee system. ( gotta have it )
I know, I will start a new movement. Like the "Me Too" and "Just Say No" movements. I will get a Tee shirt in Milwaukee red and I will call mine The "Gotta Have It Milwaukee " movement.
I used to think more voltage translated to more more power. That's not true. Trust me. I am an industrial maintenance mechanic for a large corporation and the M12 system it's compactness of design and it's light weight. Makes it an amazingly Ideal system to carry in a rolling tool chest . So you don't have to run back to the shop when the need arises for a reciprocating saw ( ie Sawz all , Jig saw. ) The M12 system is a 12 volt system. I know your probably thinking 12 volts is this guy nuts ?. Trust me, the M12 system has certainly disproved my old school of thought on
Voltage = power.
Only one question I have to ask Milwaukee after I start replacing my Dewalt tools. How many Milwaukee replacement tools are required to be purchased before Milwaukee will supply a free divorce attorney. ( I am probably going to need one. )
Oh yeah, did I fail to mention.
" I hate Milwaukee". lol
"Semper FI " Milwaukee
Would have liked more info on the battery powered fish tape. Good vid though
you know for the
I wish the demonstration had some wire inside the conduit.
I'm constantly adding wire to conduit.
Ya I was thinking the same thing. Throw a few Cat 5 cables and a few double coax for satellite in there and really test it.
I have the flex leader version, I can fish it with 5 #12's already in a 1/2" EMT. After 5 #12's you can't get the leader in. The nonconductive version will only work in 1/2" if there is nothing in the pipe. 3/4" EMT is no problem with either tape.
@@djmidnightwolf they won't do that on camera
Then why wouldn't you just kill all circuits in the conduit pull the ground wire with your new wire as well as a new ground attatched to it, out and your new wires in. No need for a fishtape if there is wire already there.
@@victorholmes842 the wiring I do is cat 6 and coax. We usually can't turn off circuits.
Those fish tapes look really nice. I'm a little iffy on the power fish tape just because you can't feel if the wires hit something or if the guy on the other end stops because he got a tangle
Perfectly said I was thinking the exact same thing. it's best to go slow cuz the other guy. At the other end could get tangled or his hand can get tangled with the wires it can escalate very bad fast.
If you think about it, its really the same concept as a tugger. Just for smaller wire.
Does your company not provide radios? Or maybe use your cell phone?
Very common that I have no cell signal or that the multiple concrete walls will cause issues for radios.
I've been waiting for someone to post about this. Awesome man
Pretty awesome fish tape. But I wish the Milwaukee guys would have showed you how to unspool it the right way while pushing it.
It hurt my eyes to watch too. Lol.
I've beyond given up on Dewalt whenever my tools die lol. Milwaukee or Makita!
Great video. I like the products. But most of all you guys do a great job showing what all products can do or don't do . Keep up the great work. Philly love here.
I now refuse to use another fish tape until I have that powered one in my hand... and I'm dragging my apprentice on a pallet with cinder blocks. Amazing product, great video!
🤣🤣
Awsome video ..
;) I just ordered the milauwkee 100ft polymer w/ metal tip fish tape ;) really can't wait to get it now .. Thanks
Hope you enjoy it!
Fyi when pushing fish tape hold it by the handle with one hand and as you feed it with the other hand it will unwind as you feed it
Awesome thanks!!
Was going to say the same thing. Your doing alot of extra work :)
Was searching for someone to comment this. Can tell you dont do this for a living but the function of how it works was demonstrated
@@SupperDadder who cares
I am very impressed normally a non conductive fish tape would be a real pain. Thanks guys you are the best
Thanks Kyle!!
Makita needs to pick up their game as Milwaukee is coming out with better suited tools. Might have to start changing my collection over.
Starting to? It's been this way for years now. I don't even look at battery tools that aren't Milwaukee. The other companies would have some serious catching up to do if they ever wanted to compete.
And this is why I love the air compressor, jetline, and rat combo
Would have liked to know more about the power fish tape, 360 bends amazing.
I’m not en electrician, I have a drain cleaning business, I could on occasion use this...I do sometimes use the hand crank ones when I need to fish something out of a sewer line... sometimes tree roots will fall off the cable after cutting them loose, then you have to try snagging them again or pushing out into the city line..... occasionally they are just too big and you have to keep going in with the cable .. it can be a pain in the ass....a fish tape with a treble hook sometimes will work,, also if you have a ton of wet wipes a fish tape and hook are faster... but that’s a lot of money for use maybe once a year
Good feedback Robert!!
Now if we could only have an indicator that let us know when it exited the pipe, this would be the ultimate fish tape
We call that an apprentice where I'm from
First demo I've seen on the M18 Fish Tape Puller. Thanks !
Thanks you!
Well still Its steal pipes, so smooth and easy to pull , I would like to see you do that with the pipes we use in Norway .
What kinda pipes do you use?
Great demo of the fish tape! Thank you for getting this video up. Keep up the great work.
Thanks!!
I want to see it go through a 150 ft run with 540 degrees of bends and cheated couplings every 10 feet
🤔🤔🤔🤣🤣🤣🤣 what kind of run is that
@@saul1919 Have you ever worked a commercial construction job? I'm a local 134 electrician in chicago and I've pulled wire through 3/8 whips to 5 Inch GRC I'd say 80 percent of runs have more than 360 bends between J boxes and you can almost certainly count on at least one cheated coup or conn
@@dereksmith8177 100% agree Derek. I'm up here in Canada and can get similar issues. Not usually that much bend but definately cheated couplings or the pipe is full. Or they decided to substitute black irrigation hose for PVC or DB2 pipe in places that you can't see it.
The test they showed here was easy. Any fish tape especially when new should do this.
I'm still really jealous. Love thoes expressions Vince makes, dang haters
Thanks Josh 🤣🤣
I need that fishtape vince love it milwaukee..
Obviously not an electrician.. at 5:00 that's not how you pull a fishtape out... you hold the handle and pull out the tape. Backward winding causes binds.
It’s one superb fishtape, no binding at all, thanks for watching!!
Wow that is powerful! Keep up the great videos
Thanks MJC!! ❤️❤️
I would add a detachable wind up knob on the hand held fish. Winding up a 100' fish seems to take forever.
I bought a Milwaukee tape today!!! 🤗
wow it is amazing only electrician know how difficult is that thanks i wanna one like this
CONGRATS TO VCG ON 89,000 SUBSCRIBERS !!! 👍👍
Dude just hold the handle on the fish tape when you unwind it..
That fishtape is awesome, it still made it through 360 degrees of bends and 90ft of pipe
It's almost like he's never used a fishtape for a living.
Vince you did it again gotta go to the bank and pre order it when it comes out. As always great video
If the tools make you money then it’s well invested!!
Well said couldn’t said it any better thank you
Someone show that man how to properly pull fish tape out of the roll!!
On the power pull only issue I would be afraid of is when I hit a snag pulling a long run sometimes it has an issue that requires attention on the other end, this beast would just rip the wire apart, right?
No information available on the powered fishtape anywhere. More info would be great id definitely pre-order this tool.
We’ll see what we can do!
Definitely need more info on the motorized fish tape! Gonna be doing a lot more conduit work and I can see this being super handy.
I'm sure this will help me a lot in my work I can not wait to get it .... Watch from Iraq
What type of work do you do?
I am an electrician VCG Construction
Been searching for this. Great review!! Definitely getting this for my team
Milwaukee is showing Klein how to make tools.
Why about if there is wire already in the conduit and ya had to add another circuit? How well will the tape work?
Good question
Great vid showing actual use. How easy was it to pull the tape out of the angler power tape? Or did it actually push the tape out?
Sorry Dusty, I didn’t get a chance to use the angler!
I went fishing today... I was at work and it took me 3 hours to reel her in..
New Milwaukee tool cart at 02:35 ? Or just a cart with a Milwaukee sticker?
Seen one at home depot not long ago.
When will this be available???????????????????????????????????????
Those are pretty awesome
I do not know why, but it bugged the hell out of me that he didn't hold the handle and pull the tape out as he was feeding in. Like the video and Milwaukee Tools.
Was anyone else kind of hoping for it
To pop out and poke him in the eye for the way he was feeding that fish tape..
Are those fish tapes already available? If not, when will they be?
That’s a cool piece of tool
That doesn’t go through most EMT…we rarely use that snake…unless it’s 2”+ PVC.
It works real nice and it’s very sturdy but the TIP is like 10” too long.
I'd trust Milwaukee any day! Their tools get the job done
Do you think it would be storing enough to pull 200 ft of 1” poly we’ll line through 3” conduit with some 22s and 45 degree bends
Yes! Yes! Yes! Milwaukee is stra8 killin it
Forget a fish tape puller give me a fish tape feeder. Now that would be awesome
It does feed
Where was this? At a convention maybe? Interested as I am an Electrical Company and want to go experiment for myself.
Great video Vince
Yo show the electric fish tape
Vince best
Thanks Gorniol I appreciate it!
Regarding the electric fish shaped the only thing I do wish is that it had a setting for what gauge wire or you know what you could pull on it foot pounds before I stretched it or broke it does it have a safety to where it doesn't snap the wire hundred feet down the pipe
That was hard to watch. Shouldn't there be some sort of handle on the casing to spin the reel??
It would have been easier if you just held the handle and pulled the fish tape out instead of rolling it out. If that was a steel tape it would have been all screwed up on the inside.
You can’t pull out/push the tape with one hand while holding the handle with the other? In other words, do you have to turn the case to get the tape out?
what happens the end breaks off , how do you connect the wire
once i saw him fish i hopped right to the comments, wtf hold the handle dude.
Good job Vince. Nice video lol !!!!!!
Absolutely need these vids! Actually doing the thing start to finish!
So much hate in the comments. Not everyone is an electrician by trade. That’s how you roll it up not completely unreasonable that it would come out the same way. The guy demonstrating could have let a brotha know though
Thanks Lester!
Nice tools
Well done 👍
Anything to run conduit inside a wall without breaking the dry wall?
Well that’s cool!
I need it to go through grey 1” PVC conduit for swimming pool lights. I can’t get anything but meatal fishtapes past like 60’
Make a rat and use a good vacuum.
It's prob cause of the water in the conduit. I don't recommend it but one way I've done it before is the buy a new steel refill and cut off enough so that you have enough on either end and Chuck it up in a drill make sure if your not using a leader to make a decent size head and plenty of yellow77
First and great video
Thanks Gianni !!
Lol the commentary is dank af
The point of a nonconductive fish tape is to fish through pipes that already have live wires in them. I think this demo missed that very important point.
thats pretty nice id like to see it go in pvc pipe .i find pvc has more drag then metal pipe
How does it do with flex ? Emt is smooth inside
Does it have a remote on and off to pull alone?
You feeding that fish tape the hard way brotha.
👍🏻
That’s a nice shirt
Thanks Luis I appreciate it!
@vcg construction have you ever use greatlakes power tools im just trying to see if they are legit thanks in advance!!
Did they give a price and release date for that m18 fish tape puller?
Release dates are in this video New Milwaukee Tools Announced At #NPS19 Won't Be Available Until.. ua-cam.com/video/Ao-CjEwuxEY/v-deo.html
Here's an idea... put a little nub handle on the red part and reeling it back in will be a lot easier... 👍 Just give me 10k for the thought. 😂
what is that electrical power fishing tape called
angler fish tape
Come on bud... always pull from a fish tape and use the handle and body to wind it back up.
Buddies forearms have never burned so much in his life. That was tough to watch. And people wonder why electricians charge so much
Did you mean: "very cool guys, like Adam over here."
👍🏻
I bet those fish tapes don’t push too well in any pipe larger than 1”
Why?
Where the 3/4 pvc underground pipe with wather test ?
Whats the warranty on the fish tapes?
Good job on feeding that fish tape in😂
You could have pulled the fishtape out instead of spinning it to make it comes out
Lmao I worry about someones wire getting stuck and ripping an entire wall out
That would not be good
Funny to say that because I had to go to an auto parts store to buy something so I could cut my fish tape off because it latched onto a wire while feeding
Has option to use the electric fish tape : uses basic one instead
What's the price on that power tape?
I don’t know the price yet sorry
"I will say this"...
Vince your perfect men
I had a hard time watching him feeding that fish tape... Nice fish tape though
OMG now your making videos of you going fishing LOL
89k
Not really a realistic run in my opinion maybe on new construction but not Existing 5 18-2s or 18-4s in a 3/8 peace of emt then see if the Polly makes it lol
