Little known fact. Those of us that lives here in Wilkes county the home of Lowe's home improvement. Prefer to drive 37 mi down the road to home Depot for better service. Especially since Lowe's got some dealing place at prevents home Depot from delivering here to our county. If your company is that dang scared of the competition that you're going to block people's rights to shop someplace else you don't need customers.

I hope they put that effort into the lowes near us. We have only gone to Lowes because they’re closest, but Menards is building a store in the area. Everyone is excited to have that choice. I’m not really convinced that the lowes in our area really cares. We can get better prices from lowes and home depot in neighboring areas. It just takes extra planning and time. And personally I prefer the tools and products that home depot carries. I just want to know the place that wants my money, actually cares about customer service.

Biggest reason to go with HD right now is text to pay. As a homeowner, business or organization, you can set up your card information and then send your guys to pick up whatever they need and then confirm it over a text and pay for it without the fuss of losing cards, reimbursements, unknowns of what they're purchasing, etc. HD then sends you the receipt to whatever email you have set up.
I don't want to have to take a supervisor off the job to go make a purchase just because he's the only one authorized to use a card, or that I trust.
Also, Lowe's needs Flexvolt and Milwaukee tools like others have stated.

I like the way he got him to admit that the saw blade was only 1 times better than the Diablo. He kept saying six times better. Better than what? A butter knife.

Triple hammer is pretty great. The m18 gen 3 is technically “faster”, but the IP rating is pretty cool, along with the features the triple hammer has. Everyone has a preference, & competition is great, but know for a fact when I got some of my Milwaukee m12 & m18 fuel tools wet.....doesn’t always end very well 🥺
Thx for vid Stan, wouldn’t mind seeing the other Lowe’s Pro Days “tour/demo” if able to make it.
    Cheers✌🏼

24volt kobalt compared to an 18v rigid drill. And I'm pretty sure you can see they have the rigid drill turned down. Either way rigid is tried and true with lifetime guarantees and they have been for years. For someone buying tools today these other tools maybe an option but for the people in the trades for years rigid and dealt have been the best option. Lowes is now finally starting to cater to the pros and maybe someday I'll go back to lowes but I'm far from impressed by lowes. Your videos as usual are very informative and to the point. I appreciate that.

Home Depot has really gone downhill over the years. Customer service is a joke. Doesn’t matter what time of day and multiple locations where I live in Sacramento. They only have 1 checkout counter open and the rest are self checkout. This goes for the Rancho Cordova location, the Natomas location, the Maddison location. I’ve been a huge home depot fan for years because my father went there and lately I’m thinking of switching to Lowe’s.

Great videos as always.Like the Metabo (aka Mikita) under drill test cool.Really how many guys are actually going to place there drill in water and run it? NOT HAPPEN. I did like the multi-volt that is great and has the ability to plug in and save battery neat trick will not take long for all the rest to get on board with it.

I’m not a pro but I do spend about 25-30k a year at Lowe’s and home depot hope they make it a little better for the little guy also time is money I do go to Lowe’s first most of the time but wind up at Home Depot a lot ether because Lowe’s doesn’t have it or no one is there to help.

Lowe's gives a Veteran discount to all who honorably served. Home Depot only gives their discount to Active/retired/disabled vets (except on Veterans and Memorial day). The Lowe's discount also covers more of their products than HD does.
So far neither HD or Lowe's really carries the pro tools that I am looking for. No concrete saws, dewalt flexvolt stuff is limited, etc. Because they support vets so well I definitely want to see Lowe's do better at taking on HD but I don't see either of them being a threat to dedicated pro hardware stores really soon.

If Lowes wants to work to help pros, they need to train their staff!!! I quit going to Lowes unless I absolutely have to because if you ever need help, forget it, I have walked down isles and watched associates walk out of their way to NOT help me. When you are unlucky enough to corner one, they are usually unhelpful or ilinformed or rude. I much rather take my business to a Home Depot, the Pro Desk knows me, they take care of me and know what they are doing!!

Problem with Lowe’s is they sell most things for a higher price than some of your more specific fastener /tool shops. Usually framing nailers are 15% or more cheaper and you can get deals when you buy nails in bulk. Like a paslode framing nailer for 200$ Canadian if you buy 20 box’s of nails @ 10.50$/1000 nails Where as lowers sells the nailers for 419$ Canadian with no deals. And the nails at 9.99$/ 1000 nails. Just an example

The Husqvarna backpack blowers are clones of Redmax blowers. The redmax 8500 and the Husqvarna 580/570 are the same blower just in different colors

The crescent lufkin isn’t superior for the hooking mentioned. It will “hook” but won’t take pretty much any bend or angle. I have the night vision type and the underside tick marks don’t exist after a month/month and a half of use. The top side is still solid, any fine measurement from underneath, don’t count on it. Adequate tape, nothing special. Will go back to Milwaukee/Stanley after this breaks
