That Vikings team was really something, until the New England game broke them.

You mean Warren Moon getting injured.

They looked great at 7-2. Even the early losses at Green Bay and Arizona, the defense held up

I remember watching this game and I was so frustrated after the Giants scored just before halftime that I took my remote and slammed it against the edge of my coffee table, cracking the remote in half. The Vikings didn't lose, but I did, having to order a replacement remote. 😆

Was this before the days of going to radio shack and getting a universal remote?

Wild to hear the commentary team be confounded at a 53 yard field goal attempt - the standards now are night and day

Those Dennis Green teams were exciting.

I’m from NY and remember this game so well. Moon and Qadry had big games along with the entire defense. As Skoley the Viking guy stated, that New England game broke the Vikings, and me in 1994. I was at that game. It still shakes me when I think about it.

Moon getting injured and not being fully healthy for the Playoff game is what cost us.

Doesn’t matter the era of Vikings football. We love to make average QBs look like gods on 3rd downs.

I was at that game with my son and it was freezing. I remember the place emptying out pretty early.

You always knew when McDaniel lined up at fullback, the Vikings were about to score a TD.

Wow I was at this game as a 21 year old with my younger brother 30 years man crazy.i am a die hard jet fan but always respected the giants and I knew when I saw phil make that last pass to LT .I knew it was the end of my childhood. But man at 51 now I would kill to be 21 in the great era of life we will never see again

The first time in 9 years the Vikings didnt have Chris Doleman and Anthony Carter on the team.

How did they ever make the force out rule a thing? What a terrible rule.

I agree. No way was Carter ever going to land inbounds even if not touched.

That was the first year since 1979 that the Giants went to a 4-3 defense.
