Has to be the best way to make a BMW fast and reliable.
Yep. They suck otherwise 🤣
Jz swap faster and more reliable
@giddyupmofo1277 depends on the application of the car. For drag racing and roll racing, yeah 2j can't be beat. For circuit racing the K24 is a better choice. Lighter engine, better flowing head and cheaper rebuild costs.
Thats the best BMW ever made...
Yep this is cool af
This is awesome
A reliable bmw amazing. Would be a blast to beat on it
shit is tiiiiight
Is it just me or is the drivers rear wheel bearing shot? lol absolutely sick tho no disrespect, I just noticed the thing shaking around
Nice..
I like how your to the point in these vids, but would you mind going over some compressor maps and how the motor/boost level fit that map? I think it would help some of us seeing real world results when trying to size turbos for our k24s. Edit for clarity: For example drawing a line through the compressor map where the motor is running. I know this is available already on some sites (efr matchbot), but that's theoretical and it would be nice to see the real world application.
I bet that's a lot of fun to drive.
The transmission probably hates it's life making 4x the power and spinning 2k rpm more
@@millll111lllI BMW transmissions are tough.
@@roskataqv I have heard that they have issues in K swaps, particularly changing gears and synchronizing at high rpm
@@millll111lllIThe right clutch with a healthy transmission and the correct oil has no problem with higher RPM shifts. And the E36 M3 5 speed transmission (ZF310/ZF320) has no issue with 600+ ft/lbs of torque in a turbo inline 6 application.
@@jacquesdorey5944 Okay, I missed the E36 transmission part of the video because I definitely assumed it had an old Getrag 240
Also, @Tuning by Nick - do you still have the AWD RSX?? Haven't seen/heard anything about it in a long time!
I think he mentioned in a vid that he sold it
K swap the world 😊
💯
@Tuning by Nick Do you do remote tuning at all? I’m in Vancouver and I’m going to need a flex fuel tune on my E36 with similar engine setup (Forged K20A2 with TS EFR 7163 on KPro) and would like to enlist your services. Also, do you know what clutch is in the E30?
Does this run the standard sump and balance shafts? Looks taller that most kswaps.
The standard sump and balance shafts won't work. The RSXS oil pump upgrade has to be done. An aftermarket sum has to be used to clear the steering rack for the rwd application.
Wow stock engine turbocharged making 430whp being spun to near 8000rpm, is that actually safe?
Those motors make up to 600whp in FWD applications on stock internals and with a proper tune survive just fine
Yeah it's safe. The head flows air really well. With an RSXS oil pump upgrade, a k24 can do 9000+rpm!
Moist
This thing makes more than double the hp of a e30 m3. I'd say that power level is scary considering no harness and roll cage. Other than that cool build.
Even a stock motor would run the e30 M3 this is amazing build
