Holy crap! I'm a muscle car guy, but, this is a cool truck. No disrespecting Camaros, Novas, Mustangs, Dusters etc. (I race a Chevelle, and a Cutlass), but, it's neat to see something different, for a change. I love the fact that they are running full 1/4 mile! Great build.
This gen Tacoma has the perfect body lines. I have a 02, with 5 spoke Toyota wheels. And it just looks damn clean. But def want this color
Definitely a story to tell someone when they start 4 cylinder bashing... Thing is fast that's for sure... I'm curious as to where this truck is today...I hope he's improved it even more and has got down into the 7s

When Chris mentioned racing in Ohio I was there for that in April 2018. He was running a high 8 in the 1/4. I talked to him briefly in the pitt but he was not happy about his time. I love tacoma's and was shocked to see it be able to go that fast. Gotta love that truck..
With companies going electric this would be a great thing if they currently worked together to make swaps like this!

So is this the world's fastest Tacoma??? Its a pretty badass build, especially the chassis IMO, 1.1 second 60' Also these things have the aerodynamics of a brick and are all over the road at 75mph on a windy day(I used to own a reg cab Tacoma). Can't imagine doing 160mph in that truck, gotta say that Honda engine is putting out some crazy power because the wind is really working at a disadvantage for this truck.

It'd be easy to hate on this if you're one of those manufacturer purists, but a bunch of buds franken-tuning a project together is bad ass, regardless of the sum of its parts.
When you're beating down your competitors to boot, however, that adds a lot of credit!
This guy is losing his separated bubble by removing his tailgate. It's been proven time and again that contrary to popular belief putting your tailgate down or removing it actually increases drag on the vehicle. Having the tailgate up causes a swirling mass of air to form behind the cab which is known as a separated bubble. This bubble of air pressure actually deflects air over the raised tailgate resulting in a substantial decrease in drag on the rear of the truck. In addition to that the tailgate (when up) provides structural rigidity to the rear of the vehicle. Keep your gate up whenever possible 👍

It’s a great build, but I hate that these guys downplay their builds. It’s no where near stock. That thing is built to the max. Awesome stuff no doubt!

Its probably a good 3k$ in porting alone on the toyota head!I worked at one of the best engine shop in canada.
Even Don Carlo himself said its hard to squeeze more power from porting the heads.

Nice hope you guys post some videos of it. I have a 94 ranger with the 2.3l and always thought about building the engine with pistons and rods to turbo it, or do 302 swap or 5.3 ls, never thought about a honda motor. I also own an 95 civic with a d16z6
If your suspension and chassis is crap you won't see those times.
Does b series engine rotates the same way as rwd car?,. Because i know k series does. I've read it somewhere in the net that you need to counter rotate the rotation of that b series with custom cam, starter, timing. Might be wrong though, sorry for my bad english

Thanks for the info on the adapter plate... I have a 81 Toyota Corolla two-door 5-speed car ...obviously rear wheel drive... I have a built H22A4 engine dry sleeved scat rods all that stuff ...I want to turn it around straight and put it in the Toyota car... I have the wiring harness all that stuff everything to make it run...I just don't have an adapter plate to make it work on the Toyota transmission... Or would it be much simpler to just get a S2000 6-speed manual that will hold the power.... aren't those engines the same bolt pattern as the h? I'd really like to do this project a little Corolla is a very lightweight car and with over 200 horsepower that thing would be like a madman... It currently has about 75 horsepower and it actually will get out of its own way, somewhat... Lol...
That truck would be good daily sleepy car just change the rims to stock also the exhaust and remove the parachute.
