This is literally one of my absolute favorite ABBA songs of all time like in my top 5. It is literally on a couple of my personal Spotify playlists that I listen to when I'm going on a long walk, or have the house empty to myself. I wish I had more of a love of dancing in my earlier years, was taught by professional dance choreographers, or was just really good at dancing, because I would have designed and choreographed my own special dance moves for this song. I would even use it as my performance track if I were performing in some dance competition at a fandom/cosplay convention. If I heard this song at a late-night rave or at a bar/nightclub, I would be in heaven and I would dance my heart out to such incredible music that I listened to as I was growing up.

To me this song tells the story of the days before AIDS when you'd go to clubs and meet people and everyone was pretty wild, nobody worried about anything, get high, have fun, find someone to go home with if that's what you felt like doing. The 1970s and early 80s were a free, wild time that you can only imagine now.

@@Pulsar77 In fairness, whilst I adore ONJ I'm not sure she would have been a good fit. Of course, I could be wrong.
I just realized that Madonna used the music from this song for her song called "Hung Up".
There was a pretty decent mashup of Cher's version of Gimme Gimme and Hung Up.

This is actually a shortened version of the song. The full song has a great instrumental middle part, which is cut in the music video.
And was there the part where the voices go really high?

True
What's the name of the instrument?
