Holy blast from the past! I used to run one of these powering two Aura 1808's in the back of a Stratus back in the early 00's. Local dB Drag comp clocked it at 139.6 back then, so it wasn't too bad for what little was apparently going into them. It was just a dumb, but fun setup. I eventually shifted gears to more outdoor adventures, so the whole system eventually made it's way into more dedicated hands.

Totally forgot about the second channel big D! Thanks for posting this retro footage. There's a reason tripath topology faded away although there are a few manufacturers that still sell products with similar circuity. As far as I know they're all lumped together as class D these days. In it's time though it was a pretty radical departure from the industry standard A/B and the relatively crude D.

A 4 second google..because i remember these when they dropped. Many of us, then, though meh... but hey, to each their own.
"A Tripath or Class-T power amplifier is a proprietary version of the Class-D switching amplifier developed by Tripath Technology. Tripath claims its architecture uses “adaptive” processing to improve general switching amplifier design"
Again Big D no hate, and again, maybe im high, but, especially in the 2000s, trade marks and new thrown around words sold stuff,...Still works today.
