I love the message about unconventional holiday time. 💛
Yess to Starling House and One Last Stop!! 👏🏻👏🏻 Also really needed that message at the end 🥺❤️
Then I’m so glad it found you 💛
Another great video, I just love your energy and explanations so much!
Consider The Hollow Places further up on my TBR following the pitch 👏🏻 One Last Stop is the book that got me into Queer Romance as well! Such a vibe, great mini review, agree with every word! You 120% convinced me to add The Wishing Game to my TBR! I CRAVE the feeling of being a little Lanelle again finding my lil gems at the library based on nothing but my own vibes! Loved your little holiday PSA at the end, I’ve spent a couple Christmas days by myself out of choice to avoid the too-muchness-of-it-all. Sending love to anyone who reads this and needs a reminder that they’re not alone.
Thank you!! 🥰 And lmk how you feel about The Hollow Places and The Wishing Game if you end up picking them up! I hope the latter gives you that middle school in a fun way feeling 😊
I want you to know that I've added many books to my tbr list in the last few months because of you 😊
And even though I'm having a more conventional holiday this year (and so far without much related anxiety 🤞), it's still really nice to hear your reminder about creating a good time on your own, and not being truly alone. 🤍 Merry everything and happy whatever, friend! 😘📚✨️
Merry everything and happy whatever right back at you! I hope you end up enjoying whatever I’ve put on your radar 😊 I hope I get to see you guys before too long 💛✨
And thank you times a million for supporting my booktube journey 😘
I read the dictionary of lost words last year and it was such a pleasant suprise!
Your reaction when you were bringing up “ A witch’s guide to fake dating a demon” gave me a big smile, let’s be honest we all love to read silly little book sometimes and that’s okay 😌💖
One last stop has the best side characters!
When it comes to “Starling House” this was the first time when I actually heard what this book is about, I’m seeing it everywhere.
You are so right holidays should be less stressful for everyone, Merry Christmas 🎄
We support silly books on this channel!! 😉
I feel you on procrastinating on the top reads to pump up the numbers!
I also loved the side characters in One Last Stop!
The ending message 💛💛💛
Thank you for the message at the end of the video about the Holidays/Holiday Season. 💚
As for books: I LOVED The Hollow Places. I identified with the main character so hard because my husband had just left me and it just hit everything I wanted from a book at that time. I love T. Kingfisher so much, haven't yet read a book by them that I didn't enjoy immensely. One Last Stop is another one of my favorite books, it showed me how much I love it when contemporary a romance gets mixed with fantasy/sci-fi. I did not like The Wishing Game as much as I wanted to, I did read it in a buddy read on Storygraph and it was fun to chat with other people as we went through it. I liked the concept of The September House a lot, but I felt like there were some issues with the execution. I think the audiobook narration kind of hurt my experience because it made the characters sound more unlikable and I think didn't fit the tone the book might have been aiming for. I loved Starling House and ate the whole book up, but my friend read it after me and found the main character too irritating to enjoy the book.
I've been trying to decide which T Kingfisher I should pick up next! I'm thinking about trying out her fantasy with Nettle & Bone? Lmk if there's one you think I should try next 😊
@@ArinHoney Nettle & Bone is great! I would go with that one.
Great video 📚☕⛄🎄🐸
You definitely made me want to read A Witch's Guide to Fake Dating a Demon... I just need to pick up a copy 👀 can't wait to see your top books from 2023!
Can’t wait to see yours either! 😊
Great video idea! I actually haven't read anything on this list, so you've given me some fun new recs!
Oh, great! I hope you enjoy whatever you pick up 😊
