A voice for all of Africa. Unfortunately, he died before much of Africa had listened to what he says. Radios in Africa were controlled by oppressors who never allowed his message reach all corners of Africa. But thanks to UA-cam, he is everywhere now and he will live in generations and generations to come.
There are a wealth of Nigerians from his generation, like my parents, who are still alive with this colonial mentality. It will take almost another century for Nigerians and the rest of Africa to grasp the message. The offspring are still deeply affected by the cut of colonizers in Nigeria in 2019. Fela's message...amid its time. And the time is still here.
Greetings to whoever is behind this...as a kid growing up....my father plays it everytime so i grew up loving and following this great legendary music... long live baba fela
I HAD NO IDEA OF THIS GREAT MUSICIAN UNTIL A WEEK I ENJOYED "ZOMBIE" I ALMOST GET CRAZY WITH THIS MUSIC, ALL I CAN SAY IS THANKS, THIS MUSIC WOKE UP MY FEELING OF FREEDOM, I ALSO LOOKED UP FOR SOME INFO ABOUT FELA KUTI AMAZING HISTORY, AMAZING MUSIC.
The best lesson Fela Kurti thought us is that if you have talent, something to say, and collaborators do the work, record it (musicians) and manifest the work. Your time will come and others will enjoy, be inspired and benefit from your work. You can observe from another realm. 😄😄😄😄😎
Baba 70 is a great man and i love him so very much and i will never forget about him all that he said that is what is going on in the country i love him so much may his soul rest in peace
This channel is doing some great work. I really appreciate the extra information in the videos, and most of all being able to listen to Fela's music for free. Without youtube I would never have found Fela, let alone bought any of his music.
Thank you warlordzephyr for the lovely review and thanking you again for subscribing to the Fela UA-cam Channel as this means a lot to us. Hopefully within the Friday's to come, you will learn more facts on Fela songs (including hopefully new content around Fela e.g. Top 5's, quizzes etc.). Take Care and keep enjoying Fela "Yeah Yeah" (y)
Bob Marley was a prophet with direct link with the creator. His message was not just for a country or race but but for humanity as a whole. Like Fela, Bob Marley is evergreen. Bob Marley's message is universal and cuts across times and generations.

Man, over the years this song has grown to become so near and dear to me. It’s special in that it just requires so many listens to fall as far in love as you can with it.... Initially, I was not tremendously impressed yet it has evolved into my “go to”, away from “Gentleman” and “Shakara” style stuff toward this magnificent, languid, grooving masterpiece. Combine this with “Confusion” and you can change yourself in under an hour!
I hope you have simmered in "Why Black Man Dey Suffer" before sliding over to "Coffin For Head Of State". And surely you didn't intentionally forget "Look and Laugh 1&2", sir.
