I already have so much art stuff that I have bought in sales but never used. Amazon Prime Black Friday and Arteza I am looking at you. I am unlikely to have time to learn it all (57 and terminal cancer) but my nieces will inherit the start of a lifetime of supplies.

I want to tell you that if you love the idea and results of acrylic gouache as a matte acrylic but hate how fast it dries, (just putting it out thrre bc i dealt wkth this issue) lefranc burgeous flashe paint is perfect. It isnt crazy exoensive and its very matte, does better than acrylic gouache if you want to use mediums on top (colored pencil especially) and last but not least, it stays wet MUCH MUCH longer. ❤

I agree with you. flashe paints have super pretty colors and are so matte and velvety smooth to the touch. No brush strokes shown great for mixed media almost everything layers well on top of the Flashe paints. They sell them at Jackson's

For your Prussian Blue from Windsor and Newton that crumbles and falls out of the pan. You can add a drop or two of vegetable glycerin. I use food grade. It absorbs the moisture from the air and will help keep it from drying out and cracking. Start with a drop and add sparingly to your desired hardness

The final artwork is abstract landscape with different exotic colors and it turned out very beautiful. I was actually thinking I'm not that good at coming up with these abstract works of art in concept, it's vey nice there is a community that's actually there to help me inspire with it. As a side tip, you might not want to force the label to open and just cut around the inside with a knife or it can splash you in the face or eyes if you don't have protection and as you can see it has a very powerful cover power. Thank you for review, pretty hair lady 😊😊

I watched to the sweet, sweet end. 😅🎉
My favorite is always the watercolor but I love seeing new products and things I don’t have ( yet lol).
I tend to gravitate to the same colors you do. I love the way you describe every product and color. especially pigment numbers, along with pros and cons or best uses.
I’ve started going color blind so I know can trust your descriptions and know exactly what I’m getting. Thanks!
I love watching you swatch and seeing the colors on your pages how they work together. Opera pink is such a tease, but I can’t help myself either - I love the purples it makes. The way it fades is a crime. 😅
You’ve also curated the best comment section, I always find great tips from your other fans.
Thanks for another great video and congrats on the 40% off !

I love the swatching/playing page, it’s an artwork in itself! And your choice of acrylic gouache is gorgeous, those bright colours have me drooling 😂 I think I particularly loved the acrylic gouache and adding the pastel pencils on top. You inspired me to try that and experiment with layering some supplies I’ve never layered before.

I also love golden yellows, cool reds, super vibrant pink, magenta, all shades of blue green and green blue and moody dark neutrals! I don’t have one favourite supply but the acrylic gouache seems to just be a more regular acrylic they willfully mislabled to increase the price and sales… scummy. Still once you have a supply best figure out how to make best use of it and enjoy it.

Aww, a very enjoyable art haul! I have a few of those pastel pencils, they go well over watercolour paintings. My favourite art supply would probably be the gouache. Thanks for the video. 💜🩷

My go-to art supplies are oil pastels and alcohol inks, though not together. If I were to shop a 40% off sale, I'm not sure what I would buy - probably some acrylic gouache and maybe pan pastels. Ooh, and maybe some fine point Poscas. Your color selection is always so beautiful - I think I'm most drawn to your watercolors choices, the gouaches and the Poscas. Thank you for sharing your goodies with us!

My newest trick is getting sample pots of 100% acrylic matt Valspar DIY paint from B&Q (there are easily 300 + ready to mix shades to choose from, let alone colour matching anything you want). Similar to Liquitex soft body. Mixed with a heavy medium or impasto medium they are truly fantastic. I’ve been mixing them with gouache and acrylic gouache. £4.50 for a 236ml pot. Obvs some pigments are more opaque than others but for larger canvases, vivid underpainting etc. I can’t fault them.
I also picked up EVERY paint chip (they’re nice and big, with a square hole and free) and have them all on a giant “jailer’s keyring” so I can play with palette choices.

5:35 Genuine Green Gold is actually PG10, a discontinued pigment. It’s a sister pigment to PY129 and noticeably more green. I suspect Green Gold is a hue mix that imitates PG10.

I absolutely loved your very very long video 😆! My fave art supply is watercolour but if I was let loose in an art shop with 40% off everything i think I'd go nuts on water soluble oils. I've never worked in oils and am pretty intimidated by them but I'd def have a dabble with the water soluble type first. I have pretty much everything else 🤭. I think my fave of your haul was probably the acrylic gouache 😊. Cheers from Australia x

Oh I prefer the ecolines everytime but people seem to prefer the tombows!! And I have a different experience as my tombows never seem to solve fully and the ecolines do!! It’s mostly about paper as always! I enjoy using them on their own paper (ecoline watercolor paper) but that’s just my preference!! I usually go over with pencils to conceal marks😅!!

Love all these art supplies! I'm currently quite satisfied with the art supplies I have and the nagging voice says I don't need anything else, however, what I'd like to try are acrylic markers. Though, if there was a 40% off sale, I'd go in with the wood art (where you strategically burn the wood to draw) - cause that needs some gear that's more expensive and any sale would be tempting xD

22:17 There’s a video from Jerry’s Artarama we’re one of its hosts explains how Liquitex Acrylic gouache is not acrylic gouache but it’s more like Matte Acrylic. He goes into detail as to why that is and even shows a demonstration using Liquitex Acrylic gouache and Turner’s Acrylic gouache.
The title of the video is “Artist Problems - Gouache vs. Acryl Gouache FINALLY EXPLAINED!”
This is not to discourage you from using the Liquitex paints because there’s some lovely colors in the line but just don’t combine them with other acrylic gouache paints.

Ahhh please share the shop! I was CERTAIN I knew but they definitely haven’t got a 40% off sale now. Unless it was only one particular branch location or you filmed a while ago? Was it literally 40% off everything I would die! (And then spend double what I was going to anyway ha!)
Edit: don’t worry, I know. Luckily I’m not actually in London at the moment so can’t even say I’m under any illusion I would have made it if I had known about it.
