In short Nomura wanted to create the SHAKESPEAREAN Final Fantasy that would have concentrate on the darkest and most tragic elements from the previous FF games combined with his own imagination and the Shakespeare masterpieces. It would have been an interactive theatre if you will. A HUGE epic that would have been an INSTANT timeless masterpiece. The game's story was going to explore death in a very deep way and some of the main characters were based on the 7 stage of grief. - Characters NOCTIS: The prince of Insomnia. The town which never sleeps. Ironically Noctis was seen sleeping a lot of times which was a very important part of his character. The reason beyond it is starts with Noctis tragic backstory. When Noctis was a kid he and his mother were attacked by unknown powers and booth of them were killed. They become souls and were on the way to the Otherworld and the gate opened. There was a way for Noctis to survive tho. Sacrificing his beloved mother's soul. With this Noctis could return from the death but of course he couldn't remember how did he survived and that he seen the country of the Death but remembered the experience itself and altho he couldn't recall what exactly happened he felt responsible for his mother's death and he always felt that he did something terrible. This experience has bestowed Noctis with unique powers from the gate and a very brutal curse as well. The curse is the reason Noctis is seen sleeping so much. That's because when Noctis sleeps he can see the DEATH of the people he loves even if their death is YET to happen. He couldn't see the full details neither the reasons beyond them but he could see how they will die and it took a huge tool on him. He could also see the soul of the people who died along with the Gate. When he used his special powers his eyes turned into RED which was of a huge significance as well which I'm going to describe in the plot. Noctis would be much more MATURE and far more SERIOUS than his gutted XV counterpart but he wasn't "cool" like most of the people would think. It's the opposite actually. Noctis was a very kind and very gentle character who constantly had to mask his real feelings. Noctis as the other main cast would often create decisions that would seem immoral and downright evil to people in order to survive and save the country. His humanity would have been explored beyond any FF character that is ever made. It is unknown how Noctis would have acted after the loss of his family and his best friends but according to the source and the trailer he would have been very sad and very serious after the extreme pain he going through. Noctis was the personification of Pain, Grief. To be continued in part 2 with the other characters, plot, development and evidence.

If the rumors of the original plot are true then Stella getting killed by Noctis way earlier in this version doesn't actually sound generic, it'd be something new.
The Noctis that appears in FFXV feels strongly different to the original Noctis we see in versus XIII. His grown up maturity was a trait i wish they kept for him instead of the childlike laid back persona he later receives. I grew more attached to XIII's darker version.
imagine if stella died before the game, and it turns out that Noctis is the one who killed her. have that notion in mind, and watch this trailer again. it will give you a different vibe
That is actually what happened. His amnesia from almost losing his life made him forget his true memories. He sacrificed Stella before the game to gain the Power of Etro, which is the power of Chaos, to see the light of dying souls, and to call on Phantom Weapons of the dead Lucian Kings for battle. The power of a god, a L'cie of the Goddess.....Etro. He is talking to.....her ghost. Behold, the true script. Not fan fiction. And...it...is.....coming...back. THE RETURN OF THE VERSUS EPIC. 2022. - Zeal.
Given the fact that we have Luna to replace Stella, I think with Luna being made as the oracle of the Gods, it makes this conversation meaningless. With the fabula nova cristallis removed from the new version, I think that stella's position became something of a dead weight knowing that she's from the opposition. When I say this, I could see why they had to abandon a few elements. Although the greatest charm to Versus XIII was really the connection to the Fabula Nova Cristallis, it was also a double-edged sword. As it was once mentioned that Versus XIII was supposed to be a counter to FFXIII, with the ten year stretch and the times changing, they had no other choice but to remove the element. With that said, I hope at the very least, the plot could pull itself out into a better story but have another project made using the discarded elements of the versus story. But then that's me wishfully thinking that.
I like Stella’s design more. I think Nomura or Tabata said they wanted to make her prettier but Luna just looks more plain. Even sick. She has pale lips and no defining features. Stella is wearing makeup and has pretty features like dark brows and purple eyes I think. Plus Stella has a cute/flirty/coquettish dress and powers and she actually talks to Noctis as an adult. Luna is just encased in his floor length white dress and has no personality or presence. Stella would’ve been the girl Noctis fell in love with but she got replaced by a forced contract wedding.
Yeah no..... Kh 4 will most likely be a teas for versus 13 reboot. I think we will only see yozora or noctis. Because yozora literally is him lol. And by the end of the game we will find out that yozora is noctis. Because we know that yozara comfort that this isn't his world. And quadratum is definitely not yozoras world. Quadratum is just our reality. And kh4 will defenetly follow its own lore.
Years ago, I watched the trailer for Final Fantasy Versus with my dear old friend. We were incredibly excited for the game; every aspect seemed captivating. We made a pact to purchase it and experience it together upon its release. However, after many long years of anticipation, my friend tragically succumbed to cancer before he could witness the fate of this masterpiece. I can only imagine his disappointment at seeing how the game was mishandled. Brother, I hope to join you in heaven soon, where we can finally play Final Fantasy Versus together. Until then, wait for me.
Luna was supposed to be way more developed as a character, she was apparently supposed to be shown as being abused by niffelheim but they didn't do that because of fear that they would get canceled or something idek why
Do you want to know why I think Versus XIII would have lived up to all this hype? Because KH2 does, and this was made by the same creators right after they finished it.
It impresses me every Time how much Character-Development between Stella and Noctis is inside these 4 Minutes. More than he ever had with Lunafreya in the entire Story of FF15 ... The Director change in Mid-Development came with the biggest loss in the Franchise ... The most hyped Game, turned out to be the most hated Main-Title of the entire Franchise (atleast for the FF-Fanbase)... All because of they hired a Director who has no Idea whatsover how Storytelling in a Videogame works!
Look, you're not been fair. They invested so much money on this project that they had to do something with the assets. Everything here is tied to the lore of a game from 2009. They called Tabata to take all the Fabula Nova Crystalis elements and try puting together something almost coherent. I hate we didn't have this game, but as much as i like him, the only person to blame is Nomura, who had more than 10 years to only do some barely playable scenarios. Also, if you think XV was "the most hated", then you weren't there when VIII, X-2, XII or XIII came out... it was hilarious.
@@fajardiniarikamil2712 Bro................. :'( It;s too much... The fact that even Nomura couldn't let go.. It feels like everyone was hurt in this project
@@fajardiniarikamil2712The most idiotic move by square enix to scrap this in favor of the concepts we get in the end in final fantasy xv, The light they see is apparently from foreseeing a person’s death basically knowing when a person will die which would’ve added so much complexity and interesting scenarios to the story like if Nifilheim found out they both have this power maybe they would’ve tried to get this power by putting themselves in near death experience situations or just kidnapping Noctis or Stella to tell them when and who will die and try and change their deaths, still angers me to this day that we did’t get versus xiii/xv Nomura’s version it coulda rivaled ff7 and other great ff games, hopefully we eat a reboot/remake someday of xv
The only chance the Final Fantasy community has to make Final Fantasy Versus a reality is during this short period while Tetsuya Nomura is still active in the industry. Nomura is the only one who can realize Final Fantasy Versus the way it should have been almost two decades ago. If the entire community pressures Square Enix they won’t have any choice but to listen to us. If we refuse to support any future games that aren't Final Fantasy Versus, they will have no other option.
My only problem with the whole VSXIII saga was how much people overestimate Nomura's writing skills. Like this is the guy who made Kingdom Hearts, a game series that is known to be an easy target in over complicated plotlines, too many characters and ridiculous characters and you expected him to write some deep dark storyline. Hell the worst bits of VIIRemake were the very Nomura plot additions. This alongside the fact that he was already planning sequels before getting close to finishing the games screaming Nomura problems. He makes good trailers, but be real this plot is very unlikely to be as amazing as the concepts given his track record.
1) kingdom hearts is meant to be cryptic by design. It is confusing but it is made with the intention to be so. Once you understand the story you’ll see that it’s more coherent than you think. 2) Kitase was the one who was responsible for most of the changes in plot not Nomura. The interviews back this statement up. It’s incredibly easy to dismiss something you don’t understand and put the blame on someone. Nomura isn’t an amazing writer but he’s definitely smart. Plus Nojima would have been writing the game. Please take your time to educate yourself in the development of versus 13
@@seijusmoke8672 cryptic by design is just your way of saying needlessly convoluted. I don't struggle to understand the plot. Sure it does make sense, but the fact that every spin-off game is necessary to understand the plot is asinine. I don't doubt Kitase had a hand in VIIR, but that doesn't change the fact that the whispers are a very Nomura edition. I mean come willful ignorance is the only reason you can't see that. Finally, your condescension aside, I have to say Nomura is a decent writer and a smart guy. He just needs an editor badly. And at the end of the day it is just a game dude, a cancelled one that would never have gotten off the ground due to Nomura and square enix as a whole. It was too ambitious and constant issues plagued it. We all have to accept the way of things in this regard. All my point is is that this game would never have lived up to the hype. I stand by it. KH3 didn't and VSXIII would've fell short. No game with this kind of development would ever have been as good as the trailers made people think.
@@steeldragon95 bro what? Do you even do your research? My “condescending” attitude comes from the fact that you literally just say what everyone else in the community says. When KH was being serialised the story was too “basic” for sqe which is why they introduced a more confusing structure for the story. Please just read the interviews that Nomura does he says he literally does this on purpose, given that every game ends on a cliff hanger or plot point. You DONT have to like it, but it doesn’t mean it isn’t bad. In the west there is a huge connotation between if something isn’t easily to follow in a story it must be bad, but it can be more rewarding when you do understand it. The secret reports answer a lot of unanswered questions but the majority of fans wouldn’t want to read it. There have been like 1 Kingdom hearts game spin off? V Cast . just because it isn’t a numbered title doesn’t make it a spin off every game is as important as each other melody of memory included.
@@steeldragon95 and I know how unhinged Nomura can be but again just read the damn interview Nomura himself says he wanted to stay loyal to the original. @@seijusmoke8672 Yeah, it's sad that people are judging "Versus XIII" like that. It was really toned down because of "Age Rating Criteria" and bad engines. The engine "Crystals Tools" was terrible to work with. They even had problems developing Final Fantasy XIII with it even though FFXIII was so linear. They even had to take members of the "Versus XIII" Team to help get the development of FFXIII forward, which resulted in "Versus XIII" getting pushed back.
+john smith
will you continue this part? it's fucking interesting and all this part of trama, is deeper than the entire ff xv trama....
John Smith ps. Can you say everything you know about the game? I'd like to create a video abour what could be final fantasy versus xiii
+bobberto99
Hey! I actually did post it but it seems that my comment didn't went through. I'm so happy that I wasted 40+ minutes on part 2 lol. Nevertheless I would be very happy to do it again so please check back tmr and I will try
to finish by writing down everything I know and giving evidence as well. If however I can finish it in time I promise to still give a lot of info and that I will finish it in part 3. Like how VERSUS was supposed to be a 3 parter HUGE game lol.
John Smith i can't find that comment :(, if you still have that, could you copy here?
Still waiting for the time when we can see Stella call Noctis, "Noct".
I'll still wait
it could be through his mother death this version of noctis was granted the power to see the light that is why he remindstela to keep her power to herself and this noctis was so compasionette😢😢😢and genuinely a good man to bad we never see this version of noctis that that light who talk to him could open up another new story why there is war and what happen if etro choose her champion maybe etro is the final villian maybe ettro wish herself to be beaten…somuch potential and we never get that master piece
Somehow this seemed way more intriguing than the FF15 plot, which feels really generic.
nah, both seem generic
@@Studiosmediamilk you just play too many video games and you need a job/life you people are actual fucking losers Jesus christ
@@shikitohno47 lmao your nick is literally Noctis Lucis

If the rumors of the original plot are true then Stella getting killed by Noctis way earlier in this version doesn't actually sound generic, it'd be something new.
Still waiting for THIS game
I would still buy this, ff15 is good but this just feels epic xD
I miss stella
we were robbed of the best FF ever.... the only one that had the potential to beat FF7.... sigh
Well Square milk FF7 alot...
The Noctis that appears in FFXV feels strongly different to the original Noctis we see in versus XIII. His grown up maturity was a trait i wish they kept for him instead of the childlike laid back persona he later receives. I grew more attached to XIII's darker version.
It's a shame that we never got this slow extended version of Somnus again. I don't even think it's in the kingsglaive movie.
The one in the game just isn't the same. It doesn't have the same punch.
Lo que pudo haber sido y no fue... me pone melancólico
We’ll never know the true story behind this
imagine if stella died before the game, and it turns out that Noctis is the one who killed her. have that notion in mind, and watch this trailer again. it will give you a different vibe
oh fvck.

Verum Rex... :)
In the trailer that is several minutes long has so much more mystery and possible good storytelling that it's more interesting than FFXV ever was.
Man, things sure changed a lot.
Damn it!!! This could’ve been the ultimate Romeo and Juliet inspired FF game.
Can’t wait for this plot in kingdom hearts 4! The afterlife and afterworld of quadratum! Powers and saving others though death. Let’s go!
Then we need to wait for verum Rex, but from the trailer it doesn't look that we would get versus 13 unfortunately
The biggest crime of all this is we didn't get the hotter version of prompto, fuck
@ThePainKiller 🤣
I'll never get tired watching this❤
I prefer these original designs
wish they were in game
Finally knew what they were talking about , thanks!
man Stella is so awesome the opposite of lunafreya but still both were good in there own way Stella jus didn't get her time
Luna was supposed to be way more developed as a character, she was apparently supposed to be shown as being abused by niffelheim but they didn't do that because of fear that they would get canceled or something idek why
Nomura finna bring this story to KH4 now. I’m ready for it. Give me the dark and gritty story.
His dark and gritty is always the shonen level really, never goes beyond that
sheeesh one of the coldest FF game trailer of all time but sadly it wasn't released and got deleted

For some reason Stella is Giving off some Aerith Vibes....
This could have been up there with squallxrinoa and tidusxyuna for best ff romances😢
Still couldent beat cloud and tifa tho 😂
Stella looks like a great character. Is a shame they didn't used her un FF15
Why pick Red font? Why? I mean thanks of course.
3:34 ここ、ノクトはガッツリ目を逸らしてるのにステラは見つめ続けてるんだよな。なんか過去にありそう

@@fajardiniarikamil2712
Bro.................
Let's keep it all in the family
We want the Nomura cut!
Damn! The intro has no chill
I think at the end the voice in the sky is Sora after the events of KH3 if this all happened like it was supposed to.
Final Fantasy Versus XIII the stolen promise from SquareEnix.
Ohhh damn *SPOILERS*
They were always going to kill him 😯
dang the goddess etro....died and so this version of this game :_(
Yeah ... I think I would've liked versus Noctis more
Does anyone know who's Stella voice actor?
So is Stella now Luna, or what?
2023 omg ❤❤❤❤
I’m trying my best to not be condescending or patronising but it’s really hard because you and many other people have the wrong idea why versus 13 never serialised. Simply put it’s because of Chinese Censorship and 2 shitty engines being used in development.
Then there was Final Fantasy XIV Version 1.0 which was a complete mess at launch and they too needed help from the "Versus XIII" Team.
That's why it's called "Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn" now. FFXIV got remaked so to say.
