I love seeing all of the Asian inspired foods. Seaweed is delicious and miso is good for your digestive health. Fish is good for the brain and rice is healthy too.
A lot of western and eastern Europeans have rice and fish in their cuisine too. Like Norway, Russia, and Ukraine for example. Odesa and the Ukrainian settlement Letychiv is known for its seafood and fish, respectively. It’s been common for Ukrainians to catch fish in nearby freshwater streams and rivers. I haven’t tried any seaweed yet, but I know seaweed salad is something that was often sold during the Soviet Union since many Koryo-saram live in the former Soviet Union republics. It’s actually where the Korean carrot salad, Morkovcha, was created. My mom has brought it home from the local Russian & Eastern European grocery store. Fermented produce is a big part of Ukrainian cuisine so I understand why she liked it. I have yet to try it, but I’m sure I would enjoy it too.

Sheppards pie can be made with anything. Those are two different dishes.

Yep. Most people only know “sushi” which is a Japanese maki roll, but in Korean culture, we have kimbap. The difference is there isn’t vinegar in the rice, but more sesame oil, and kimbap is made with meat and veggies, not seafood :)) I hope you try it someday :))
kimbap is also more casual than sushi in a way? I don’t know how else to describe it but sushi is more of an art form and much fancier while kimbap can be made with anything and is something you send your kid to school with for lunch! my family usually puts carrots, pickled radish, spinach, and some kind of meat or fish. it’s got all the food groups so it can be a super filling meal all on its own!

@@arir.6564 kimbap is the "cheese and ham sandwich" equivalent for americans/western peeps. But it is way better and more filling in my opinion.

Carbs are sugars. There are good sugars and bad sugars. Good sugars give you lasting energy with little downsides. Bad sugars give you a little energy with a lot of fats. I eat a lot of carbs but still am skinny(I wasn't always). Eat good carbs and exercise regularly, and you'll be fine

KIMBAP IS NOT KOREAN SUSHI!! Its more of the idea of a korean sandwich, it always has cooked ingredients never raw and is made differently than Japanese sushi cuisine, please do your research before labeling something!
