I spent two horrible hours using another channel's method and never could achieve this uniformity. It is indeed easy; it's also uniformly gorgeous! Thank you, Tim!
Wow, thank you. I looked at a bunch of videos and they were pretty convoluted. I tried your method and I whipped out 6 bracelets in no time. My 11yo son wanted to learn and he made one on his own once I made the initial knot. He is hooked and wants to make them for his friends and his dad! He said I had to subscribe to your channel
This was my first time tying a snake knot. I watched a few other videos before landing on this one. This technique is by far the fastest and easiest I've come across. Thanks!
Ditto! This way also interconnects each subsequent knot, whereas the other way is just a series of individual knots cinched against each other. Glad I finally tripped across this vid.
Thank you for the best snake knot tutorial I've seen. I watched the video twice, then followed along, pausing as needed. After about 4 tries, I am tying a nice looking snake knot. Just made my 1st pocket knife lanyard/fob and it looks great. I've never understood the knot before watching this video. So good, it made me sub.
Thank you! This was very helpful!! First time trying decorative knots for jewelry. Even with using a fine cord, this method and your video made it very doable
I just discovered this video when I was looking for a tutorial to relearn the “snake” knot after I hadn’t done it for a while. This method and resulting linked snaking knot is much superior to what is noted as “the” snake know. I have saved this video to my paracord play list for future reference when again I’ll need to “relearn” the knot. Thanks so much for your really good tutorial!!
Thank you sooo much (and Jossi, and the Tiben lamas who figured it out). I'm using fine cord, and keeping the knot open with a fingertip is the only way it was ever going to work.
This is the easiest snake knot method I've ever seen. I watched several videos till now but with your video first time tried and it turned out perfect. Thank you for this great video.
Brilliant ! No need for sawed off knitting needles tips to help you insert the new working end back into the last loop and all of the stress of pulling things tight again, something that would make my fingers hurt after a dozen turns. I'm thankful for this video.
I’ve been watching bs snake knot vids for hours and couldn’t get it right. This one first try perfect lanyard for my knife. So much better. Thanks my guy 👌🏼
Im a craft person, Im always looking for new, and simple techniques! I work with leather, beads, stone, wire, sewing ect. THANK YOU! Snake knot is very impressive!
Thank you so much for your teches well that I remember it again. I forgot this knot how to beginning. Because we Tibetan when change the prayers beets thread change new one so finishing at top that we use this nine knots with prayers Mala. Thank you sooo ch now I am done. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏.
This is so cool!!! I've been a fan of Jossi ever since discovering him on Instagram a few months ago. I've always wondered how he had the patience to make all those snake knot bracelets with micro cord. Especially since making them with 550 gives me fits sometimes😄 Thank you so much for this tutorial.
Thanks. I watched a lot of how to tie snake knot videos and got mixed results. But I persisted with your method and got my first series of tight snake knots, and it was quick. Thanks.
Thanks for the tutorial. I tried this and like it, but when I place it beside another snake knot that I did previously, the knots look the same, but yours are just bigger. Your way doesn’t let me pull the knot as tight as the other way. Or I just need to practice more?
I have recommended your channel to at least 50 people. By far the most usable information I've found. You are slow with your steps at beginning and slightly speed up just as us watching are catching on, its so helpful. My only suggestion, unless you've already stated on prior videos, tell us roughly how much cord = how long lanyard. Even a rough number like 3" of this knot is 12" of cordage, 1:4 ratio or 1:8 something of the sort.
Just an update on ratios. I used 36" of 550, made a 3.5"(thats 7" of cord) loop, got 2" of snake knots and 2" "tails". Extremely hard to get another snake knot out of those 2" tails so I'm stopping there. Looking at my measurements, you get 1" of snake knots per 12" of 550 cord + add your loop and 4" for tails to finish off.
Thank you for supporting the disability services and thank you for this technique. I use it. I don't see very well some days so this technique is extremely useful. When practiced long enough and you have this one down to a near art, you can stitch with microcord as you weve the core or base knot. I'm working on mastering this however I ran into a shortage. That said. With this technique and learning how to stitch without a needle would increase productivity and leave time for creativity.
even after so much time has left, after coro-naaaaaa still back here for refresher course those who are here, for Chinese new year or other military style knot tying, min @2:00 will jot your memory if you've already practised
Iam a new subscriber to your channel, I just learned this snake knot and I absolutely enjoy the Tibetan method and have made it my Go to knot for now, works excellent on my bug out gear, "Thank you Tim" your tutorials are excellent A+ . Real quick, the " Hillside House " link you posted isn't connecting but, I found the website 👍 Great channel Tim, thank you for sharing your experience with us!.🇺🇸✌️
Wow! How simple is this technique compared to the tie/pull to loosen technique/feed process! I whipped out a new fob for my car keys in a matter of a few minutes. Thanks for sharing!
I can tell by how youve explained this, you took the time to learn and understand what the paracord is doing. The other videos ive watched its clearly the person memorized the awkward way of doing it and couldnt explain beyond "do what I'm doing here" Watching your video, I see a technique that makes this super simple by wraping it around the tip of the next finger and oeaving that open
The loop around the index finger is the saving grace for me. The other way is very difficult and frustrating to me. Thank you so much, you're the best! Thanks for sharing! 😃👍

Thank you! This was very helpful!! First time trying decorative knots for jewelry. Even with using a fine cord, this method and your video made it very doable
1:50 starts the knot tying
THANKS!!!!!
Thanks
6:54 still never tells us how much paracord to use
@@itsneight1260 it depends on the length of the snake knot, trial and error is the best way to find out how much paracord to use.
Thank you so much! Gavin McAfee..
This is BY FAR the best way!!! Thank you. It also helps me make a nice, tight knot. Thank YOU!!!!
It took me a few days of watching this video over and over again to get this but once you get it you got it and it's awesome. Thanks for the content

Holy moly wow this works. I can’t believe how I used to suffer doing the snake knots. It’s worth the subscription easily. Thank you.

I‘m rediscovering paracording after 24 years and this affirms the meditative relaxation that comes with braiding.

Thanks for the tutorial. I didn't think I was ever going to get this technique down.
Never been able to tie an acceptable snake knot, until now. Thanks for the awesome video.
Thanks for the tutorial. I tried this and like it, but when I place it beside another snake knot that I did previously, the knots look the same, but yours are just bigger. Your way doesn’t let me pull the knot as tight as the other way. Or I just need to practice more?

Thank you for this! I’m new to para cord and love the way the micro cord looks but I couldn’t get my snake knots to look right. You’re a lifesaver! ❤️
