And also, do you have a starters guide or could you make a tutorial on the tools needed to start weaving? Thank you for your tutorials, the are really easy to understand and really inspiring!
@linkpaivichit7651 Oh I've been weaving paracord for years. Tim's channel is at fault for that. I started back because I was jonsing so bad. Paracord is addictive and there is no rehab. Woe unto me. 😄
I had really lost hope that I could ever learn this knot. I watched at least half a dozen other videos trying to figure it out. The thing that helped me the most it that this video uses 2 different colors of cord- it really makes a HUGE difference. Thank you thank thank you so much! 😊🌻
Me too! In fact, I've learned to try to actually tie along with a tutorial, and if I keep not understanding, I look for another tutorial--often even by the same teacher.
You are a gentleman and a scholar. This is the fourth or fifth video I’ve watched trying to figure out this snake knot. This is the first that is easy to follow AND easy to replicate. I think the resulting knots are more uniform as well, and easier to get into place.
This is BRILLIANT! I have watched a couple of different videos on snake knots & it seems like too many of them tie one part of the knot, sinch it up, then undo one loop to pass the other cord through. It's confusing & now that I see your way I can't understand why anyone else would want to do it the other way! Your way of teaching the diamond knot is also one of the clearest and easy to follow. From my previous (way long ago!) experience with macrame, I was already familiar with the carrick bend knot (I knew of it as a Josephine knot?). However, I realize that I didn't always tie it the same way & having you break it down step by step helps reinforce which way to do it so that I can do it the same way consistently. I find that if I see another person's video about a certain knot, the first thing that I do after I have watched it is to see if YOU have a similar video because I so often find your way BETTER, or the way that you explain it helps reinforce it in a way that I understand better. I am new to paracording and have been absorbing videos to get ideas before actually making anything. For starters, I realize that before making some of the bracelets I should invest in a jig, or some other device to hold some of the cords taught. I have very small wrists; when I measure tightly it's 5.5 inches but for comfort I probably need at least 6. If I wear a bracelet over 8 inches long it slips right off my hand. I know that I will get better judging how much cord to use without wasting a lot. I really apreciate when suggested lenghts are given.
Looking at your method here and a few others I saw there I do agree Your method here is looking to be much simpler not as many steps to making things confusing with to many steps This method for sure is easiest simplest fastest for sure nice job man
Thank you! Clear instruction, both audio & video! One thing still utterly confounds me…& you make it look SO easy…how do I fuse the two cords together! Yes, I am a newbie, as a matter of fact. Thanks for asking. 🤭🤷♀️😉
You're very welcome! Glad you got started in paracord, no shame at all in being a newbie, we all have to start somewhere! Here's a video I did on joining cord: ua-cam.com/video/a1JBWZ3HFhg/v-deo.html
I have tried both method you show in this video & no joy. Evidently, I just need to practice my ‘timing’ more. 😊. My torched ends seem to cool too quickly to fuse together.
After I tie 5-6 snake knots they are starting to twist instead of being straight one right under another. Any tips on how to fix it? Thanks in advance!
What is the method used to determine how much paracord to use? You talk about micro-cord, but it looks like 550. Do you have a system that you use for determining length of cord required for a project? Thanks in advance. Really enjoy your channel.
Great 2 color bracelet, I like the ends of the bracelet too. Could you please give me some length measurements of paracord, or If I use a thinner (3mm) nylon thread how long must each color thread be? Need a circumference of 17-18 cm when the bracelet is closed. Thanks a lot for the very good explicit videos you make!
You could do the manny method, but I find that the manny method creates a bigger joined area than just melting the cord together, so it might be harder to hide the join in a snake knot.
I have a full tutorial for the diamond knot here: ua-cam.com/video/iOyGe0_IYD0/v-deo.html I often have to jog through the diamond knot on certain videos simply because I've taught it so many times before and I don't want to make the video unnecessarily long, thanks for your comment!
@@TheWeaversofEternity Dude has a point tho you move quick asf and we can barely see what's happening. I'm not tryna be toxic it was just legitimately difficult for me to follow this vid
@@Micahcus I may have gone a little quick in this one, I guess I didn't notice because I've done it so many times. If it's too fast, you can use the UA-cam player controls and play it back at half or even quarter speed. That should help a lot.
@@TheWeaversofEternity that's what I did, it's all good, I understand no one is perfect. The original comment here was kinda agressive, I was just trying to elaborate and give constructive criticism, apologies if I came off the wrong way, most of your videos have been great thus far and I'm learning a bunch.

Tim thank you! I suffered a stroke 2 years ago and doing paracord weaving as part of my self rehab. The secret is patience. And it's working!
I’m sorry to hear about your stroke, but happy to see that weaving has helped you in your recovery.

Can the snake knot in your example be used as a wrap around a handle ?
Tibetian method is FAR more satisfying
Can this technique be demonstrated using 3/8 side release buckles ?
Looks great but doesn't mention how long the two pieces of chord have to be?
Paracord needed is shown on screen at 0:28
How much material would you need to make a leash
Are you leaving the stuffing in the paracord
Hello.. Excuse me how length of bracelet should be...
Nice
Could you do it with just1 color?
Of course, the two colors was really just to make the tutorial clear.
Pleeeaaase make a Buddhist Mala Prayer Beads or whith some knots instead of beads!
Also,
Polyester or nylon for best fusion?
Lovely
For your “How to make Banes Cuff Bracelet with buckle tutorial”, What size buckle did you use? And did you use 550 0r 275?
when you're putting the two colors together is it possible to do the manny method or would that make it more difficult?
You could do the manny method, but I find that the manny method creates a bigger joined area than just melting the cord together, so it might be harder to hide the join in a snake knot.
Great video and tutorial 👍😎. Could you also show stitching on the Snake knot?
I have quite a few videos on stitching snake knots on my channel! Just search "stitched snake knot" on my channel page.
