Awesome video. Im from Barranquilla, Colombia, here we have a big community of Arabs and lebanese since the 40's and 50's.cSo I grow up eating all kinds of Arabian food. Shawarma it´s my favorite. Their garlic souce it's awesome. Also love falafel, tabule, and of course tahini! All this to tell whoever reading this, to come to Barranquilla and enjoy Carnavales and Middle eastern food.

you are incorrect about Levantine people not being Arab. A lot of Levantine arabs have Arab DNA in them and are culturally Arab so that’s why they are labeled as Arab.

@@nooraqueen2716 At the end of the day, many of our families are either mixed and/or aren't originally from the region. In the end, what we takeaway is CULTURE, which DOESN'T mean genetics/race/ethnicity. That's food, music, art, poetry, language, sensibilities.

@@nooraqueen2716 Well, the Levant today do speak Arabic. So, I don't think culturally today you can REALLY call a Syrian or an Egyptian a "non Arab". It's not Like Persians, for example, whereby they have their own distinct culture, language, etc.

@@nooraqueen2716 really and where do we come from (levantine people) yes I admit we are a mixture of a lot of races because of the history but then again Arabs are called Arabs based on their mother tongue being Arabic, most of the scientists we take a lot of pride of are called Muslim Arabs because of their religion and then the language but not always mentioned where you come from, and many people don't know because of that.
And by the way why we look a bit different is partially because of the race mixing but mainly because of the climate and the area

Falafel Saharah was not as good as you described. The falafel were brown on the inside, an indication that were not fresh and possibly from a powder falafel in a box. The chicken shawarma was bland and dry. I wouldn’t recommend it.
