Good Job, i have a 02 i have had sitting in the yard for 6 or 7 years about to tackle to get it running as a bush truck needs axle seals and rear brakes which i have also a fuel pump so on for the adventure in old dodges .lol Cheers thanks for the info on the job at hand.
I have the same exact brake problems with my ‘89 Dakota and when taking apart the drums I found the axle to be leaking too. Hope you fixed your brakes. You don’t want to drive on the front calipers with no failsafe.

Thanks for the comment i will be fixing brakes soon as it warms up here i don't drive the truck much
Bad bearings usually make the seals leak . If you can lift up un the axle the bearing is bad .
Ack. You skipped the seal removal and went to the seal reinstall.
