I want to run Flowmaster 40's on my cammed 09 RT but concerned with drone. Currently it has the Corsa Xtreme exhaust kit which has mid pipe resonators and mufflers out back, sounds great and has zero drone, but it's not loud enough. How bad is the drone with these mufflers and where do you have them welded onto the exhaust at?
The drone was pretty much non-existent.whoch could be different with an automatic trans when you're parked in drive. They were located as far back toward the rear as they would fit. I personally didn't weld them in on this one.
I never got it on a dyno unfortunately before I got rid of it. I wish I would have.. still bugs me til this day not knowing. Yes it was just Flowmaster longtubes and 2 Flowmaster 40s. No cats.
I did it all in my garage. Took about 2 weeks. No one around here does it (Brevard) down south there's a few places. Tuned by Johan. Diablotoona. But I traded it in last month for a new truck. Was a beast though.

No cats at all just longtubes and Flowmaster 40s.
did you change the valve springs, or use the phaser only?
Changed springs yes it was while ago I do not remember which ones I ended up putting on.

I didn't mess with thermostat at all. Car has been gone for a few years.
How's the bottom end rpm power? About same drivability around town?
Def lose some bottem end with that cam.. but once you get through it.. it's intense when you get around 3000 from there on out. never stopped pullin..
