How MaCenna's mom touched her heart at around 0:40. I thought that was sweet. You can tell that was a nice memory for her.
So sweet!!
I saw that too. That was an “aww” moment.
They’re sweet.
I loved that too! So sweet
Oh wow, as a mom who recently lost my mom, that touched me on levels. You make me want to make that kind of memory with my daughter. To do something interesting and brave. I love your relationship. My mom was my friend too.
Disneyland can just get over itself. This is the happiest place on Earth!
YES! YES!
And there is less overpriced junk.
I’m in Melbourne Australia and we are back in lockdown again, would love to go to that market. Miss shopping for loved pieces. Gasping thru out the entire video.
I need to see your mom’s haul!!
Now that's a great idea!
Yes, please!!
Was just going to comment this!
Omg yesss
I have the Christmas bells from 1989 to 2000. When were you born?
Also I audibly gasped out loud when I heard that sink was only $20. Especially after watching your sink journey haha 😂
I'm so jealous. Redoing a bathroom and I would love to have that sink! Great find.
RIGHT!!!! I couldn’t believe it!!!!! And almost the same one I wanted to buy new!!!
same lol
Try Mr Clean magic eraser on the black marks
😍😍😍😍🤩🤩🤩🤩👍👍👍
The mirror missing some molding: you can make a mold from the existing molding and then make replacement molding. Glue it on and paint to match.
I was thinking the same, it's going to look great
Wow, never thought of that! That's a great idea!
Yep! My thought, too.
Jamierayvintage does that -- has how tos on her you tube
Yes, definitely!
Such a mood when MaCenna asked her mom to ask the shop owner how much something is
😂
Hahaha 🥰
You got a Longaberger basket for FREE? That's amazing! Those can be quite expensive, especially for circa 1987. 🤩 Great find!!
I was thinking the same thing! Like so shocked she got that for free!
I have a huge collection of Longaberger baskets. Over 50! And as pricey as they were / are, I made sure I bought baskets I would use on a regular basis. None of that just sitting around looking pretty. I wanted them to be useful so that I could justify spending the money. My first basket was a gift and is dated 1984. I also have their pottery. Longaberger originated here in Ohio and closed a few years back. You should check online and see the building for their headquarters that is shaped like a big basket. A development company bought it to make a hotel out of and then changed their minds. I do not know right now what the plans are for it but it's gorgeous.
Thought the same thing
Yes, I just said the same thing. Amazing that someone didn’t realize the value of that basket!
I was hoping someone would tell her that Longaberger baskets are valuable
I wouldn’t say you “love junk”…I would say you’re a “treasure hunter”🥰
That totally sounds better hahaha 🤣
I would've loved to have seen what your mom bought.
I can’t wait to see ir either maybe your next video can be of that ???
My dad has a coffee grinder like that and he uses it every day. The scrii-scrii sound is part of my childhood. :D
Glad that Romeo loves going shopping with you, too!
I would kill to have my hubs like thrifting lol he goes if he has to 😂
Omgggg 100% he’s so patient and looks around for his own stuff and pushes my cart! He’s literally the best!!
@@XOMaCenna clone him
Am I the only one who wished that she would have gotten the white bookcase.
Me too! But for sure she'll create somethin like it for sure. It might not fit in their car, too, i guess 😅
Loved that bookcase@
Been looking for one for cookie jars & tea pots in my house
Me too! I want it so bad! Loved it!
So much respect to the vendors at markets. They spend HOURS packing, driving & staging they’re stalls. Like wowowow amazing!
You can get a ceramic drill bit for those jug/pots! Literally my favorite hack for putting plants in things where there shouldn't be plants. LOL! Also theres a few amazing antique vintage stores in Morro Bay, CA that you would love. When I went I kept thinking of you!
I don't think I can never get enough of watching your thrift shop treasure shopping videos...such wonderful shopping buddies you have!! your mom is the sweetest and Romeo is a keeper!
I don't know why, but I can totally see a picture of Kinsley in the frame with the green velvet...😊
Soooo cute!!!!!! 🐶🐶🐶
I love that picture frame.
I love how Romeo always seems to be a man on a mission in these videos. He's not just there to push the cart - he's huntin' for deals!
These videos are sooo calming! Like window shopping minus the driving around and social anxiety 😂
The two pots without drainage holes are perfect for indoor plants to the water doesn't mar the surface of what it sits on. You can set a plant still in the nursery pot into those pots
Second the nursery pot suggestion! I’ve been known to go to Home Depot with ceramic cover pots to find the right nursery pot that fits 😂😂
Put dollar tree rocks or rocks from outside in the bottom for drainage.
I would NEVER drill holes in the bottom of a vintage crock! 😳😭
I’ve been waiting for this haul since your last video! Honestly, I could watch 2 straight hours of you and your mom going around that flea market ❤️
Yay!! Omg thank you 😘😘😘
I am really starting to get a sense of the decor that the cottage is going to have and that is such a testament to the clarity of MaCenna's vision. She knows what she wants which is such a great energy to put into the world.
Had so much fun watching this video. Your Mom is so cute…. almost fell off the chair when she said, “ it’s gonna take us 12 days to get home.” Stay well. 🙏🏻💜
I love “junk” stores too! That’s where the real treasures seem to be found 🤗
Really want to appreciate Romeo’s cameos in all your videos! He’s so patient, encouraging of all your excitement but still gives his opinions.
I love it how involved your parents are in your projects! They obviously did a good job raising you ;)
I’ve been obsessed with thrifting for years, so it’s so fun to watch your treasure hunting! There are a bunch of fun thrift stores in my area (northern Virginia). One store in particular always has great glassware and whenever I go I think about how much you would love it.
Where do you go? I live in Arlington and I am always looking for new places to hunt for treasure.
@@mandy833 Clock Tower Thrift Shop, Capital Caring Health Thrift Store, and Unique in Falls Church. B-Thrifty in Annandale is another good one.
I’m looking to move to North VA!! Making note of these places !!
@@alyssataylor2338 I've been to Clock Tower and Unique but I need to check out the other two. My favorite is the Goodwill on Glebe Rd. and the Salvation Army in Manassas.
@@alyssataylor2338 Thanks!
I'm sure this video is going to be great as always! I must say, you have got me looking at vintage picture frames young lady! They are SO MUCH classier!♥️
At the end of the haul “is that all?”
After talking about a bunch of amazing finds lol love that!
Watching your videos has definitely opened up my interior styles and ideas x
This was one of the most waited videos for me. So excited to go shopping with you Macenna.
Omg yay!!! Hope you enjoyed it!!!! 🥰
Your exuberance and energy towards the end when you were showing all of the neat stuff you found: so infectious! I was so excited for you. Thanks for the shopping trip!!!
There's nothing in this haul I would buy, but yet I enjoy every minute of your shopping trips. That's because YOU are a star. :)
this is the cutest comment ever
@@sarasworst That's so sweet. Thank you Sara Rose ;)
I’m just realizing I’m a born and raised Texan thrifter that’s never been to Canton! Making plans now, thank you! 😍
I've never been either and I'm 5th generation Texan! This is the first time I've ever seen what the flea market in Canton looks like too.
Girl!!! That Longaberger basket is worth a fortune! That was your best score!! Handmade, numbered. I won a basket in a draw that is 14x10x8 and new it's worth about $200!!
I honestly can’t wait to see alllll these things come together in the cottage 😭 I’m so excited !!
Adding this as a potential girls trip in my future 😅 Is driving across the country for a flea market a little crazy? I don't even care 👏😍
I was thinking the same!!
Not crazy AT ALL!!! So fun!!!
My best friend and I took a road trip there about seven weeks ago as a fun splurge before I started treatment for breast cancer. We stayed at a cottage near there and had a wonderful time. I think we had even more fun garage saling and Goodwilling our way home. Lol
I bet you can't wait to see every single piece on it's final place - me too! ;-))
This was so fun to watch as First Monday is only a couple towns over from me! So happy to see you got some good finds. Can’t wait for the completion of the cottage! 🥰
Good finds!! The sink, the black picture frame, the ornate drinking glasses, the coffee grinder and the fancy door lock pieces are outstanding
I loved when you said “I just love junk” I was like me too Macenna!!
Thanks for sharing your adventure I had fun watching all the stuff. I'm a True Thrifter also. As I watched this it seems that your style for the cabins seems to be this style from 1930's. There was 2 large columns towards the back of one of the shots that would make up a great mantel. You might think about designing and building your own mantel. On the mirror with the missing pattern you can get the flowers design through Hobby Lobby n wood section. Thanks for sharing and you have inspired me to take a road trip down to Canton.
That basket is a Longanberger basket. Those used to be sold at house parties ( like Tupperware was) and they were sooooo expensive. That might still be valuable!🥰🥰
That sink. OMG it's perfect and exactly what you wanted. Amazing find and thank you for sharing this moment.
I can totally see you and your mom owning a physical or online vintage/antique store!
You're so effortlessly true to your style when you see stuff out in the wild. I can never make decisions. I always think "What would MaCenna do??"
I am at the point of my life where I am planning a minimalist life, then your video was recommended and I realized it is decor haul/ shopping therapy that I need in my life..with my mom of course!😅
I loved watching this! My family home is soon to be sold and the clearance people came to take all the family things that were left and will probably end up in sales like this. I live in another country so could not get to take the furniture that my parents had as a newly weds and that were in my room and as I watched you going through all the stuff, I got very sad and realised that these items were also loved and treasured once so I wish they wouldn't call it junk! I am so happy that you and others that love vintage items and give these items a new home and love them as they were once loved! I have subscribed!
The longaberger basket was incredible! Those are really good baskets and they’re expensive. You got a great haul - so much old elegance at such a great price.
So excited for this one! Loving the thrift vlogs
So excited to see how you display all your finds in your new cottage.
That sink is such an amazing find 😍 when you added the side by side of the one in Bath store I couldn't believe how close a match it is x
I loved that sink. Everything was beautiful. Cant wait to see your cottage built
Imagining how the cottage is going to come together when I see these hauls literally takes my breath away! I can’t wait to see it!! 😍
Thank you for taking me shopping with you! Thrifting and antiquing or treasure hunting is what I like to call it, which is one of the most fun things I love to do. And I have been doing it for years and never get tired of it.
It is such an adventure. You never know what you will find.
I have gotten lucky with many of my finds.
It was fun watching you and your mom and Romeo shop together. I shared your excitement when you find something that you love.
Some days, I can't walk for long because of sciatica. So it's fun to watch from the comfort of my bed when I'm resting.
Watching you and Drew (lonefox) going shopping has given me the drive back to go out myself again to thrift stores. I have depression quite bad that I suffer moment by moment with. It's not easy to say. But true.
I just want you to know how this has helped me.
Also, I am a do it all around the house kind of person like you.
I built a pantry under our stairs in my house years ago. And I paint like your mom does. But not as much as you all do full time.
Love it!
We have the same passion on restoring old stufg. It hoves me satisfaction. Plus now, I now I am helping the environment.
What a wonderful haul! The sink and that lamp are my faves of your finds! 💕 Thank you so much for another thrift haul and adventure!!
Awesome haul!! LOVE that lamp, oil lantern, and frame with the olive velvet 😍
Love your haul! Fill the clay pots with rocks for drainage…I love those!💕
I grew up here in Canton. The FM weekends do bring a lot of traffic, but it's nice to browse. I always went for cheap interesting food when I was in high school. I knew quite a few guys that worked temp jobs there carrying ice everywhere to the vendors. I still miss it.
I was gonna be mad if you didn't take that sink home with you. This is the best antique/vintage haul I've ever seen! You have a great eye for frames, mirrors, wooden legs, ceramics. And if I'd known I could get $40 for my vintage coffee grinder, I'd have been happy to sell it for that amount. I learn something new everyday. Congrats on your fab finds!
Videos like these make me so happy! There are no thrift stores where I live but I'm always rooting for McKenna when she goes hunting for her little treasures! Such a good video!
What a fun birthday weekend! Happy belated birthday MaCeena! I hope this is a precious year for you. Love your laugh. Thanks for sharing your journey with us. 💕
Wonderful haul, love this part of your journey, watching you build your nest and seeing some favorites of mine in there makes me so happy. Would love to see you tackle restoring a frame by creating a mold to replicate the missing pieces. Thanks for the fun trip to the World's Biggest Flea market!
I went through a similar phase a few years ago when we decorated our first house. We travelled in a camper (with our cat!) all over western Canada and up to the Yukon and Alaska checking out antique and thrift stores. I love how every piece has a story/memory on how we got it. Your videos bring me back to those days!
Forgot to mention the huge annual flea market in Portland...Maybe a road trip for you guys anther time!
Loved this haul!! I like it when people get this excited over shopping for vintage and antiques.
Can't wait to see you style all of these! The porcelain sink is a great find.
I’m loving the quality and quantity of today’s post. :D
Thank you for sharing your adventures with us!
LOVE canton, I went there with my fiancée 2 years ago on the way back from a road trip, and we were blown away by just how large it was and full of great items. Can’t wait to go back, just gotta wait out this rain. Thanks for the video, love your flea market trips, such inspiration
I am so happy for you!!! You found things you have been wanting for your house. So many cute things!!!
Could watch you shop ALL DAY!!! Love this content. Thanks for taking us along! 🥰❤️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I enjoy following you guys on your thrifting adventures! You have so much fun. Thank you for taking us along. xx
cant wait to see these go in their respective spots in the cottage! 😍 you really have the best eyes for best finds! 💖
I, too, used to go to Canton with my mom when I was a child. We would pick up items for her interior design business. I also remember it was the first place I got lost 🥲
When I spend 400 dollars I end up with like 10 things 😂 this is amazing!
Great finds! I can't wait to see how you style everything. I love thrifting especially old treasures.
Love, love love shopping with you!! I am obsessed with ornate frames too and your little Kinsley. She is so adorable!
Girl, if you love digging through junk you HAVE to go to JTs This and That in Wharton. SO MUCH STUFF. And you literally have to dig around to find stuff. He also is super freaking reasonable with his pricing and will give you great deals when you buy more. Love that place so much!
The sink and mirror combo is super cute!. Also the deviled egg serving plate is adorable. 😍 Can't wait for Christmas. Thanks for the video it was super fun!
I love that bird print! I would totally keep it!!
Me too!!
I started collecting Longaberger Baskets in 1993 and the cheapest basket you could buy at the time was a 4 in square basket for $25.00. I see a lot of them in antique markets and thrift shops now that the company has gone out of business, but never cheap and never for FREE! Great find.
I can't wait to see these items all put together in your home.
This haul makes me sooo happy
Specially those 1dollar italian candle holder 😍😍and thosee PHOTO FRAMESSS 😍😍😍
FABULOUS flea market haul, LOVE the picture frame mirrors, coffee grinder, oil lantern and vintage basket! Send that rain over to Arizona and the west coast! 💕
I love the two lights and they would be great for your front porch, or at least something similar. I am so looking forward to the completion of your new home. ❤️❤️
Zimmermann was my absolute favorite fall winter fashion show for 2021 2022!
I really enjoyed all your antique shopping hauls, and dying to see how you will assemble them and decorate your home. 💜🌹
How fun that you came here!!! Literally grew up 5 miles down the road from First Monday and go all the time with my mom!
we have a ton of vintage Christmas ornaments because we have a ton of handmade or bought and well-loved ornaments that my mum and dad had when they were children, my grandma was an artist who made ornaments with her children and just in general, and by now they're vintage trice over (which is crazy to me, by definition _I'm_ vintage ahh). Our tree is always eclectic and nothing fits together and it's so much more beautiful to me than those very clean, perfectly planned out and measured ones that only have two colours and are perfectly symmetrical and parallel in their decorations. I can't wait for Christmas videos on your channel when the time comes
Wow! You found so much good stuff and at great prices. Makes me want to take the 3 hour trip down to Canton even more. That gold lamp is just absolutely beautiful! Probably my favorite thing that you found.
Ahhhh I’m SO invested in this cottage renovation journey haha 😍 LOVE these kinds of videos!!!
I’m rocking out on my Monday morning commute to the music!! I’m loving it!
I love first Monday. My best friend of 30 years who I grew up with here in Southern California know lives in Canton with her sweet little family and her husband is from there. I’ve been a few times and it’s one of my favorites.
I'm with you, MaCenna. Show me the old stuff! Enjoyed this video.
Absolutely love it all! Can't wait for you to get more vintage Christmas items ❤️
Omg everything you got were such great finds! I love watching your vids, I’ve gotten so much of my inspiration for my apartment from your videos!💗
Omg yay!! That makes me a so happy!!! 🥰🥰🥰
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great antiques shopping!!! I'm in-love with the outdoor lanterns, I been searching for them for awhile, they are going to look so awesome once you paint them black & install them. The other item that I liked was the white porcelain sink great find. Stay Hydrated & Cool this summer... Abrazos
Was always attracted to minimalist scandi design. Suddenly now I like only ornate antique things. Love the haul!
Johnson Bros were based in Stoke-on-Trent UK - love that you have something from my home town :-)
I have been collecting Johnson Brothers Friendly Village to use for my Thanksgiving dinners. So far I've only found six plates and five bread or dessert plates I'm not sure which. I really love the images on them.
Glad you had a good time 🥰 you need a Wagon or a foldable cloth one instead of the grocery cart so you can fill with more goodies 🤩
Next time for sureeee!!!
I am definitely finding out that I like things I would've never thought I would! Love seeing all that you find.
I think it's so cute how excited you always are when you go to flea markets 🤭🤭
Yay. You got the sink. I would have had to have that white glass cabinet with wood interior too!! Beautiful quilt display cabinet or in a bathroom. Love everything!
